Trading may be dead but sharing is very much alive. This list contains all the
shows and mixes that I have remastered/modified/mixed and freely shared since
2002. Enjoy!

 12/11/77 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Uniondale, NY
2 SHN    A+ A+  Amazingly, this complete show – a highlight of Billy’s career - was never professionally bootlegged. I’ve seen traders rate this one from “B” to “A+” most likely due to different master tape sources. This version was transferred in January 2002 by Bennett directly from his terrific master cassette that captured the original WNEW broadcast of the show. This show has always been one of my favorites and in February 2003 I finally got around to remastering it. Basically, I removed the WNEW station identifications (three), removed the inane disc jockey chatter (six instances!), fixed the transition between the cassette tape flips and boosted the volume as well as performed a few other minor edits. You can now enjoy the concert as it was meant to be enjoyed – without interruption.

??/??/39 Mtx'ing Through The Reunion Era - Live Mix 99-09
Compilation, Compilation
2 FLAC    A  http://ia601700.us.archive.org/11/items/BruceSpringsteenAndTheEStreetBand1999-2009MatxingthroughTheReunionEra/BruceSpringsteenAndTheEStreetBand1999-2009MatxingthroughTheReunionEra.mp3?cnt=0 In making this mix I followed these "rules"/guidelines: - no more than 2 songs per concert (ultimately 29 songs representing 22 concerts) - matrix versions only (I made 3 exceptions here and used one broadcast and two sbd) - normalized volume levels and smoothed transitions with the goal of eliminating/minimizing awareness of moving from one source to the next - ebb and flow consistent with typical Bruce concert - no two songs from same concert in a row

??/??/39 In the Mood for BRYAN FERRY - live "concert" mix
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A  This live mix is a "fantasy" concert consisting of some favorite BF and RM songs. Editing notes: All tracks were normalized and transitions mixed to flow like a concert. Decreased pitch by 89 cents on Source (e). All sources pre-FM, FM, SBD except the second half of T14 (aud).

 ??/??/39 Compilation
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A  All the tracks have been normalized and mixed so it sounds more of less like one continuous concert. All tracks are FM/sbd/pre-FM except two (tracks 15 and 16) are audience.

 ??/??/39 Compilation - "Rocket Man"
Compilation, Compilation
2 FLAC    A  This compilation is the fourth in the “Man” series – the others being James Taylor, Treasure of a Man; Elvis Costello, Man with a Mission; Van Morrison, Just a Man.
 07/07/82 Starlight Theatre
Kansas City, MO
2 SHN    A+  Elton’s July 7, 1982 show was broadcast live throughout the United States on the NBC radio network. With millions of fans listening, Elton delivered what may have been his best performance of the 1980s. Elton’s vocals are first rate - no hoarseness and plenty of successfully hit high notes (it doesn’t hurt that the sound crew mixed Elton’s vocals with a healthy amount of reverb). The band for the 1982 tour is spectacular. Nigel Olsson, Dee Murray and Davey Johnstone joined Elton for the first time since 1975. Elton and the band deliver great versions of Better Off Dead, Empty Garden, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Ticking, Elton’s Song and Chloe as well as a soaring Rocket Man. To my knowledge this concert has never been professionally bootlegged. There are at least four different versions of this show in circulation. This remastered version is a combination of the three best available sources. The sound quality is a solid "A" although there are few minor imperfections inherent in the broadcast.

 ??/??/39 GET HAPPY Live Mix
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A  Live mix of "Get Happy." Mixed in the spirit of the original album. Will make you as happy as the original album.
 02/14/79 Long Beach Arena
Long Beach, CA
1 FLAC    A A-  Editing Comments: Normalized volume after tape flip at beginning of T16. Smoothed transitions between T18/T19 and T19/T20. Sound Quality: Very good to excellent stereo soundboard although there is some tape hiss, which is most noticeable during the (relatively few) quiet moments. Overall, I'd give this show an "A-/A" for sound quality. Performance: Terrific. 20 songs in 65 minutes. 10 songs from "Armed Forces." Several rarely played songs including "Busy Bodies," "Moods for Moderns," and "Sad About Girls."
??/??/79 ARMED FORCES Live Compilation 1978-83
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A A-  Although this compilation is short (about 35 minutes), it packs a punch. Similar to other compilations that I have done, the sound quality varies, the performances are excellent and it all flows together pretty well. This compilation contains the only known live recording of "Senior Service," a song that Elvis has only played twice in concert. The sound quality is not good and I'm not just saying that to lower your expectations. Having said that, it is fascinating to listen to Elvis perform this one live ("Senior Service" was the first Elvis song I ever heard). The performance is actually quite good and it raises the question "Why hasn't Elvis played 'Senior Service' in concert since 1/20/79 Leeds?"
 11/19/80 Chateau Neuf
Olso, Norway
1 FLAC    A B+  Here is an audience recording for the more serious Costello fans out there. Sound quality improves during the show as taper gets into better position. I recently de-clicked this one and it is ready for loud play - enjoy!
 01/03/82 Grand Old Opry
Nashville, TN
2 FLAC    A A-  Special thanks to the one and only Professor Goody for advising on the proper pitch. Also smoothed tape flip transitions and retracked.
 01/07/82 Royal Albert Hall
London, England
1 FLAC    A B/A  This legendary concert has always been a legendary source of frustration for Costello traders. The previously available version of this show (the second set only) is plagued with a background static that can’t be removed. This version is a combination of three sources and is, at this time, the best available error-free version of this entire show (first set and second set). This concert was taped and filmed for eventual release by Elvis so a better version of this show may surface one day. Some sort of dispute with the Philharmonic’s union prevented its release. Elvis has spoken about this concert in interviews and has basically said he could not afford to pay all the musicians. To date, only “I’m Your Toy” has been commercially released.
 09/07/83 Frank Erwin Center
Austin, TX
1 FLAC    A+ A+  "The Gangster Is Back" is easily one of the most popular and widely circulated Elvis Costello bootlegs. A few years ago the FM recording of the entire show, entitled "The Complete Gangster" began circulating. This version ("The Ultimate Gangster") compiles the entire "Gangster Is Back" (with a few minor edits) with the missing tracks and stage banter added from "The Complete Gangster."
 04/18/84 Orpheum Theater
Boston, MA
1 FLAC    A+ A-  This is my favorite 1984 solo show. An inspired Elvis delivers best-ever versions (in my opinion) of Clowntime is Over, Motel Matches and Love Field as well as a spine-tingling version of Shipbuilding.
 06/08/94 Summerstage, Central Park
New York, NY
2 FLAC    A+  It was a perfect NYC late Spring evening for an outdoor concert with clear skies, no humidity and a comfortable mid-70s temperature. The NYC fans were ready for the return of Elvis and the Attractions, who hadn't played together in NYC for almost 8 years. Before the reunion it was unclear if Elvis would ever play again with the Attractions. If you’re a fan of his late 1970s sound then think of it as a return to form -- raw sound, high energy, and plenty of guitar distortion. Elvis was clearly pumped for this show - just listen to way he emphasizes the phrase “I just wanna be your victim” in The Beat, the second song of the night.
 ??/??/02 Man With A Mission
Compilation, Compilation
2 SHN    A  “Man with a Mission” is basically a mix of my favorite 42 live tracks selected from 24 shows over the 25-year period from 1977 to 2002. At the very least, this collection is a great introduction to Elvis’ live shows. Nearly all of the tracks were modified (equalized, normalized, mixed) in some manner in order to create a relatively seamless listening experience.

 ??/??/39 LoloYodel Garcia's Greatest Moments
Compilation, Compilation
1 FLAC    A  Comments: Reflections has always been a favorite album of mine and the only studio GD or GD-related album that still gets any play on my cd player. The songs flow together well and have a nice vibe. Since pretty much every live version is superior to the studio version for all GD and GD-related bands, then why not a live version of this classic album? Editing Notes: I patched the 3 second drop-out in Mission with a nice aud recording. All tracks were normlized and transitions mixed to flow like a concert (I allowed 5-10 seconds between tracks not 2-3 minutes unlike a typical GD concert).

??/??/39 Tapers Section Jam Of The Week 2016 dead.net
Various, Various
2 FLAC    A  All tracks were normalized and transitions mixed to flow like a concert. Transitions between songs are generally no more than 20 seconds in length.
??/??/39 Tapers Section Jam Of The Week 2016 dead.net
Various, Various
2 FLAC    A  Donna gets a bum rap. Had she joined the band in 1976 and departed in 1979 Deadheads would have waxed nostalgic about the time the Grateful Dead had a female background singer. This live mix imagines such a legacy.

 ??/??/39 Various
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A  All the tracks have been normalized and mixed so it sounds more of less like one continuous concert. All tracks are FM/sbd/pre-FM except two (tracks 12 and 16) are audience.
 11/21/81 The Palladium
New York, NY
1 FLAC    A+  This show captures the final night of the 1981 Private Eyes tour. The performance is terrific - top notch efforts from Daryl Hall, G.E. Smith (guitar) and Charlie DeChant (saxophone) - and the energy level is very high. The sound quality is very good but not perfect (most will probably rate it an "A"). This show is the perfect complement to the commercial release "Greatest Hits Live," which is a compilation from the Private Eyes tour. The commercial release obviously has superior sound but it's missing the medley/band introductions, between song banter, and attitude of a band peaking and knowing it.

 ??/??/39 Compilation - "Treasure of A Man"
Various, Various
2 FLAC    A  “Treasure of a Man” is a compilation of live tracks from 1970 to 2003. Nearly all of the tracks were modified (equalized, normalized, mixed) in some manner in order to create a relatively seamless listening experience. Special thanks to Chico Neto for the truly spectacular artwork.
 ??/??/39 Compilation - "Electric Treasures"
Compilation, Compilation
1 FLAC    A  Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if James Taylor and his band went mostly electric rather than acoustic for an entire concert? OK, probably not, but this "fantasy James Taylor rock concert" (there's fantasy football and fantasy baseball so why not fantasy concerts?) is one possibility. 7 of the 18 tracks are audience recordings. The other 11 tracks are sbd, fm, etc.
??/??/39 Compilation: The Unreleased Live Album 1981-2
Various, Various
2 FLAC    A  Comments: In 1981 James Taylor planned to release a live album. His performance at Radio City Music Hall was recorded, but it didn't turn out so well. While the music sounded great, JT's banter and comedic timing were off, a rarity for him. Something must have been amiss because a week earlier he was broadcast nationally via satellite and, as I learned from a member of Dime, instructed his crew not to tell him the exact night of the broadcast (he only knew it was one of three nights). The results of the Atlanta broadcast were stellar - one of his best shows ever. JT did not release a live album in 1981, but, if he did, it might have sounded like this one. Editing notes: Selections from the 5/13/81 show were made based on what sounded best to me. I have 8 versions of the show, threw on the headphones and made the call. Most of the between song banter comes from Source C as the "Dad Lives His Work" bootleg was heavily edited. This upload could also be called "the definitive version of 5/13/81" (for now). Speaking of editing, I edited out most of the between song banter in Source A due to reasons noted above. Other notes: The Atlanta show is usually dated 5/19/81 and I take responsibility for passing along bad information. In September 2003 I shared a version of this show (Source C) on the Archival Group that was longer than "Dad Lives His Work" but still not complete. This version was dated 5/19/81 and I kept the date to avoid confusion with a show listed as Atlantic City 5/13/81. Final note: JT's band for this tour was about as close to a full rock band as he's ever assembled. It included: Billy Payne - Keyboards, Waddy Wachtel - Guitar, Dan Dugmore - Guitar, Peter Asher - Percussion, Rick Marotta - Drums, and Leland Sklar - Bass as well as David Lasley - Backgroud Vocals and Arnold McCuller - Backgroud Vocals. After this tour the volume at JT's concerts was turned down.
 ??/??/39 Compilation
Symphonic Treasures, Various
1 FLAC    A  JT always brings his "A+" game to the show when he plays with an orchestra. I do, however, have two minor complaints: first, not all songs are performed with the symphony and, second, he tends to talk a little too much between the songs. This "live mix" - compiled from 5 different shows - imagines a concert featuring the orchestra on every song as well as minimal between-song banter. As always, all the tracks have been normalized and mixed so it sounds like one continuous concert.
 05/16/70 Capital Theater
Port Chester, NY
1 FLAC    A+  Port Chester Resurrection Project 09. Simply wonderful audience recording. The original audience master cassette was recorded on a Sony TC124 with unknown Sony dynamic mics, spread approx. 25-30 ft. across the balcony, by Ken & Judy Lee. The cassette was baked, processed and transfered via Tascam 122 MK-III > Lucid ADA1000 > Tascam CDRW 700 (CDR) by John Jay Hance.
 05/26/74 Carnegie Hall
New York, NY
1 SHN    A+ A+  James Taylor performed at Carnegie Hall on May 26th and May 27th in 1974. These two shows were probably the final two shows of JT’s four-week U.S. tour to promote “Walking Man.” The DIR Concert Network had permission to tape both shows and it is not clear whether this version represents one of the shows or a combination of both shows. My gut feeling is that it is probably a combination of both shows. KBFH broadcasted this version of the show on June 30, 1974. This version is superior in every way to the hugely popular and widely circulated “Carnegie Hall” KTS bootleg. The overall sound quality is stunning, crystal clear stereo. The soft songs are perfect, although the loud songs are so full the sound nearly distorts. The KTS bootleg was probably sourced from a second or third generation cassette. The addition of the six songs not included on the KTS bootleg dramatically changes the flow of the show. KTS would have you believe that JT jumped from “Fire and Rain” to “Mockingbird.” Not so. JT beautifully built the show to a peak culminating with Carly’s arrival just after the start of “Mockingbird.” For JT fans this version is essential. Some minor editing was necessary to best represent the original concert experience from the perspective of the audience. I edited out the KBFH announcements. I edited in several “soft endings” where the audience applause would have otherwise abruptly ended (due to harsh KBFH edits or announcements). No edits were made to the music or stage banter.
 06/26/77 Dallas
Dallas, TX
1 FLAC    A- A-  Opening night of the 1977 tour and a benefit for Children's Arts and Ideas Foundation. Some tape hiss.
 05/13/81 Atlanta Civic Center
Atlanta, GA
2 SHN    A+  While still not the complete show, this version contains nearly twice as many songs as Great Dane’s “Dad Lives His Work.” The sound quality is a bit warmer and looser than “Dad Lives His Work.” The patch at the beginning of the concert was necessary because the WNEW broadcast joined the concert in progress. This show stands out as one of JT’s finest due, in part, to the presence of Bill Payne and Waddy Wachtel, who add a nice edge to the music. Some minor editing was necessary to best represent the original concert experience from the perspective of the audience.
 03/24/86 Carre Theatre
Amsterdam, Netherlands
1 FLAC    A+  Smoothed transition between T17 and T18. (Note: Tracks 18-20 from different, inferior source.) Removed several pops. Faded out end of T20 to remove broadcast beeps.
 06/17/86 Waldbuhne
West Berlin, Germany
1 FLAC    A A-  Smoothed transitions between nearly all tracks after track 8. Most likely taper had a 90-minute cassette and began conserving tape after the first 1/3 of the show to avoid missing any music.
 08/30/86 Various
Various, Various
2 FLAC    A+  This compilation features the best currently available tracks from August 1986. The August 1986 shows feature an interesting set list as well as top notch performances from JT and his band (especially Arnold and Rosemary). This is my second favorite JT audience recording. 8/3/86 is superior to many sbd recordings. Great versions of infrequently played songs - Song For You Far Away, Rainy Day Man, Summer's Here > One Man Parade, and Love Has Brought Me Around.
07/17/02 Koussevitzky Music Shed, Tanglewood Music Center
Lenox, MA
 1 FLAC    A+ A+  http://www.newberkshire.com/02jtpops.php
05/06/03 Seiji Ozawa Hall, Tanglewood Music Center
Lenox, MA
1 FLAC    A+ A+  This concert features a well-rested JT performing in front of an audience of invited guests at the intimate 1,200-seat Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood. JT had spent the previous two weeks resting at home and rehearsing for the upcoming Summer leg of his 2003 tour. Ozawa Hall has spectacular acoustics as is readily apparent from the sound quality of this recording. There are even a few occasions in the show when it sounds more like a studio than a concert hall. JT seems to give some of his best performances on major radio broadcasts and this one is no exception. This show has been edited so that it can be burned as either 1) a complete radio show - burn all 16 tracks (only a few between-song radio promotions were deleted) or 2) a concert - burn tracks 3-15 only. Most people will probably be happier with the concert version of the show. The interviewer is annoying.

??/??/39 The Kenny Aronoff Years – Live Compilation 1980-
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A  John Cougar Mellencamp: The Kenny Aronoff Years – Live Compilation 1980-1995
 09/??/83 KBFH Radio Show
Lincoln, NE
1 FLAC    A+ A+  Obviously not the entire show but what is here is terrific. KBFH announcements and commercials have been removed. Tracks have been mixed to provide a seemless listening experience.

??/??/39 An Afternoon with Lindsey Buckingham - live mix FM
Various, Various
1 FLAC    A  Comments: It's 4:00 in the afternoon and Lindsey Buckingham has just arrived at the local rock radio station to plug his latest album and sell the last few remaining seats for the evening's performance. The disc jockey, however, is nowhere to be found. What up with that? No problem for Lindsey who simply delivers a scintillating 50 minute acoustic set.

??/??/39 Live mix of first 2 albums 1982-1985

 1 FLAC    A

 03/02/77 Keystone Korner
San Francisco, CA
1 FLAC    A+  Smoothed transitions, removed dj chatter (but not on-stage intro), removed a few pops, increased pitch by 45 cents.

 03/04/92 Kaufman Astoria Studios
Queens, NY
 2 FLAC    A+ A+  It's lossless and it's spectacular.

 04/06/03 WERS-FM Studio
Boston, MA
1 SHN    A+ A+  For those traders with young children, this one is highly recommended. Color artwork will be included. Steve Roslonek (better known as "SteveSongs") is a Boston-based children's performer who will be touring nationally in 2004. Steve has built a "cult" following of many 2-6 year old kids (and quite a few parents, myself included) in New England and is one of my 4-year old son's favorite singers. Although this solo performance is only 36 minutes (and available as filler), it provides a nice introduction to Steve and his music. Steve's website is here: http://www.stevesongs.com

 05/15/93 Sam Boyd Silver Bowl
Las Vegas, NV
1 SHN    A+ A+  Sting opened for The Grateful Dead several times in 1993. On May 15-16, 1993 he opened for the Dead at the Sam Boyd Silver Bowl in Las Vegas. Audience tapes of these performances have always been available but it was not until Fall 2002 that soundboards of these shows began to surface. The good news is that both shows sound terrific - there is a wonderful depth to the music and the vocals and instruments are very well balanced. The bad news is that the soundboards for both shows are incomplete. The May 15th soundboard does not include the last part of “When the World...” and “Every Breath You Take.” The May 16th soundboard does not include the opening track, “Blackbird.” These remastered and complete versions contain an audience patch for the missing tracks. Also, although I usually don’t like to modify the music, I have made one minor change. The opening of “Purple Haze” is botched in a manner that is both awful-sounding and dangerous to perfectly good speakers and ear drums. I have taken the liberty of minimizing but not eliminating the offending passage.
 05/16/93 Sam Boyd Silver Bowl
Las Vegas, NV
1 SHN    A+ A+  See 5-15-93 comments. 5-15-93 and 5-16-93 complement each other very well and should trade as a set.

1 SHN    A  Audience recordings - you either love 'em or you hate 'em. I personally prefer an excellent-sounding audience recording to a clear-but-flat-sounding soundboard recording (although nothing beats an excellent-sounding soundboard). This mix features 11 great audience recordings from various artists. Nearly all of the tracks were modified (equalized, normalized, mixed) in some manner in order to create a relatively seamless listening experience. If you've got an hour to kill in the car, then take this one along. You won't be bored.
