08/06/01 Miles Davis Hall (Montreux Jazz Festival)
Montreux, Switzerland
1 cd       OK, I'll admit, this is an MP3 sourced show. But Goldfrapp shows are a bit of a rarity and one has to take what they can get. I at least EQ'ed this so that it will sound a little better than what it does comiing directly from the internet.

1 cd       Fun show! Perry: "It's Valentine's Day...Get some PUSSY!"
 07/08/87 Cattle Club
Sacramento, CA
1 cd       Kinda bad quality. A layer of hiss and the bass is nowhere to be found...and sometimes even the guitar is missing in action (Pigs in Zen is practically just vocals and drums). Sounds like a cheap demo... For collectors only.

 12/14/88 Cat Club
New York, NY
1 cd       Cool show...great vibe from the audience. One gets the feeling that being in high profile New York, the band tried to stay as sober as possible for this performance...COOL MAN! Sudden dropout during Pigs in Zen, presumably for tape changeover.

1 cd       Sudden cut during Pigs in Zen, presumably for tape changeover. Sound changes too. It sounds more muted?but still good and clear. Perry: "George Bush is a fucking idiot!!!" Here here?

 02/28/80 The Warehouse
Preston, UK
1 cd       Pretty interesting version of my favorite JD song, The Eternal.

 02/17/74 Long Beach Auditorium
Long Beach, CA
1 DVD       Great footage, but that is all it is...FOOTAGE! This recording has some SERIOUS issues. Just about all of the songs are out of sequence, ALL of them are incomplete and the recording has been poorly mastered. The music skips to compensate for the picture being too slow (Cold Gin looks absolutely pathetic). The footage lasts 18 minutes. Also on this DVD is footage from 4/22/76 in Ottawa. Gene's hair catches on fire when he does his fire-breathing. It is silent with tracks from Alive dubbed in.
 04/07/74 The Palace
Detroit, MI
 1 cd
 05/31/74 Long Beach Arena
Long Beach, CA
 1 cd
 07/16/74 Independence Hall
Baton Rouge, LA
1 cd       Confirmed...the date on this is 7/16, not 5/7. Gene sings the opening lines of Strutter...weird.
 08/04/74 Morris Civic Auditorium
South Bend, IN
1 cd       All I can say about this initially is "WOW". It's not a sparkling recording as there is a little tape hiss and some excess chatter, but because of its age and the fact that it has recently surfaced makes this a REAL find! This was an opening slot for Blue Oyster Cult and the fans are VERY receptive to the boys. A great show and a pleasant experience listening to it?
 01/31/75 Winterland Ballroom
San Francisco, CA
1 VHS       "Watchin' You", baby! WAY too funky!!! So is "Parasite".
 05/03/75 The Tower Theatre
Upper Darby, PA
 1 cd
 05/11/75 Orpheum Theatre
Boston, MA
1 cd       Slightly "noisy", on the cusp of distortion, but still very enjoyable...
 05/31/75 Long Beach Arena
Long Beach, CA
 2 cd
 08/23/75 Calderone Concert Hall
Hempstead, NY
1 cd       The doink who first entered this didn't know what the hell he was talking about. The venue's name is Calderon Theater...
 11/15/75 National Guard Armory
Rockford, IL
1 cd       This one is a bit of a pity. The instrumentation comes through clearly, but the vocals are barely heard. Odd, because they can be heard clearly during Paul's speeches between songs...
 01/25/76 Cobo Hall
Detroit, MI
 1 cd/VHS
 01/26/76 Cobo Hall
Detroit, MI
 1 dvd
 03/21/76 Jai-Alai Fronton
Miami, FL
1 cd       The treble on this is pretty ear piercing. Turn it down and turn the bass up a bit. This was MP3 sourced, but it's such an enjoyable show, I can't resist listing it here. Small bump between tracks
 05/22/76 L'Olympia
Paris, France
1 cd       My copy of this is pretty poor quality. The sound is great, yes, but the fuck-wipe who recorded this for me recorded it too fast. Plus, there are very quick fade outs to cover up the fact that this was once TAO...the bastard!!!
 05/23/76 DeRai Auditorium
Amsterdam, Holland
 1 CD
 07/10/76 Roosevelt Stadium
Jersey City, NJ
1 CD/DVD       The first three tracks ( Detroit Rock City, King of the Nighttime World and Let Me Go Rock and Roll) of this are from Houston 1976.The sound is excellent, but the picture is black and white and slightly foggy (which is typical of all known recordings). There is also a small rectangular box at the lower right hand part of the screen where a timer once was but has been edited out. For a professional recording, the fans tend to be a bit annoying at times.
 09/03/76 Richfield Coliseum
Richfield, OH
 1 cd
 09/06/76 Varsity Stadium
Toronto, ON
1 cd       This is actually Varsity Stadium, not CNE Grandstand. The sound on this is INCREDIBLE for it's age. This is a soundboard recording and because of that, you can BARELY hear the audience..the only drawback to the listening experience, for those of you who like the entire live experience. Also, this cuts off towards the end of Rock 'n Roll All Nite then breaks in during the middle of Deuce.

1 cd       The day Elvis died. Yeah, right because I saw him at a gas station in Sweatbucket,Alabama...my cousin Joe Bobby Seephus saw him at a porn shop in Buttcrack, Mississipi...my sister in-law's cousin's nephew's uncle who is his own half-brother used the toilet after him at a gas station in Toe-Jam, Arkansas...and...
 08/26/77 The Forum
Los Angeles, CA
1 cd       Alright, the cons of this show: the quality is about a C+, there is a bit of hiss and the show sounds as if it were recorded fram WAAAAAYYYYY in the back of the Forum. This had fade in and outs on each song, but I have edited them out as best as I could. Some are noticable, some aren't as noticable. The pros are as of now this is sort of a rarity. Also, this is a VERY historic show. Some of the tracks from Alive II are from this show, such as "Love Gun". On Alive II, Paul says "Alright...Love Gun!!!". There is evidence of some obvious editting here as Paul says "Alright...does everybody feel good...?...alright, this is the title track off of our new album...Love Gun!!!"

0 VHS       The quality is kinda bunk on this. It's a multi generation recording and could probably stand to be dubbed two or three more generations before this string should end. I was really looking forward to transferring this to disc but the sound has a great deal of hiss and the stereo channels go in and out from time to time. So bottom line: there is a better recording out there, pass on mine... http://www.sfo.com/~csuppes/NFL/OaklandRaiders/danbury.jpg

When I first got this, I must have listened to it 4 straight times. The atmosphere was unreal. At times,it was almost as if I couldn't tell if it was a Pink Floyd concert or an Ohio State vs. Michigan college football game! Only drawback is that there is a faint brickwall when the bass is REALLY heavy, but that's minor. Just turn your bass levels down and it should be OK... http://graphics.fansonly.com/schools/osu/trads/images/ohio-stadium2.jpg

When I heard they were playing there, I was pretty damn proud of 'em. Maybe it's me, but when a recording comes out half-way decent and it has been recorded at MSG, you somehow KNOW it's from MSG! It just has that MSG vibe. A Prince show I have, a Tool show I have, a Kiss show have all have had the same beautiful sounding acoustics and vibe to the whole show...this is the exact same way...

0 CD/VHS    A-  CD... Great sound... VHS... 3rd gen. A This is pretty exciting in that it was the first night of the tour. At times it seems as if half of Maynard is out of view because of a speaker onstage, so for a while the filmer acts as if he's confused because he can't spot him. There are times where one sympathizes with him, but there are others where he comes across as a doofus. This also sounds as if the cd I have was ripped from it. Extremely crisp sound. Incredible zoom on the camera.

0 CD/VHS     A+  The BEST fucking single-cam Tool video on this list!!! IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE! It's shot from the back but makes good use of the zooms. And I must admit, the video-screens in this one compliment the music excellently! They are almost FRIGHTENING! You know how Maynard's stage and his screen were at an angle? Here it looks as if it is aiming directly at the filmer as he was sitting at the rear right side of the Civic Center. There is a little static in the sound at times but nothing major. I don't know why, but it was weird seeing Maynard wearing blue jeans. Maybe because I'm conditioned to seeing him wearing tits instead. Maynardism: after The Patient announces "We'd love to stay but I gotta pee

0 CD/VHS    A  CD... One of my top 5 favorite shows of 2001. Great cadidate for #1 VHS... This was so awesome to track down because it is my favorite 2001 show. The sound is thundersome! The filmer is in almost the identical spot as the dude in St. Paul was, but at least he has a little more of a clue. Maynard has an interesting black painting on his face. For some strange reason it reminds me of the Munchkins from the Wizard of Oz...

0 VHS    B   OK, my time to vent! First off, this naming rights shit to arenas and amphitheaters sucks three donkey dicks!!! Unless a name was it's original name, I refuse to conform and refer to an arena by it's new name! (Unless you own the entire fucking building!!!) Calling the Providence Civic Center, the "Dunkin' Donuts Center"??? You have GOT to be out of your corporate fucked minds!!! EXTREMELY shaky camera at times but clear picture. Fans around the filmer are VERY annoying! Chatting, yelling, whisting and (if this is what you call it)singing. People like these should know that others do not go to a concert to hear them singing and carrying on like doinks! Just because you "paid your hard earned money for this show", doesn't mean you have to fuck it up for someone else!Furthermore, Maynard can't hear you yeling "Maynard!" when you are at the back of the arena/amphitheater! DUH! Got a problem with all this...? Tough shit!
