2. I don't really care what kind of media, but make sure that I can actually listen to the shows that I am trading with you, as I do not want a defective disc in my computer or in my CD player at that.

3. Treat me with respect, and I will treat you with respect (example: Don't tell me I a dumbass for acidentally naming CD1 CD2, and CD2 CD1, I wouldn't tell you that).

08/14/74   Civic Arena      Good Condition   CDR   1   At the Civic Center Remastered   Here is the first show with Neil actually in the band! The performance here isn't too good, but the sound is decent. I think that it is more of a collectors item more than anything, though.
08/26/74   Agora Ballroom         CDR   1   Fifth Order of Angels   A very good show indeed! The performance here is definatly excellent, Geddy sound excellent, bass-wise and vocally. Alexs guitar is shreading tonight, as he was very into the performance, as was the whole band. This is from early in the carreer for Neil, so he is still agusting to the band setting with them, he is not yet at his best. The sound here is official quality, no doubt in my mind. The mix here is perfect, everything sounds so crisp and clear, it really is amazing to hear this show. A must have.
11/19/74   Paramount Theater         CDR   1   Music is Paramount   Another great show that I actually went to! This is probably one of the best performances from the whole tour, only beaten by the first Cleveland apperance by the band. Geddy is in a talkative mood tonight, as he likes the share the names of all the songs with the audience, and it turns to be an amazing performance. The sound here, at first, may sound subpar. But a few minutes after Finding My Way, this becomes one of the best audience recordings I have ever heard of. The overall sound is very clean and clear, and not distant at all. A great show, a must have in my eyes.
11/27/74   Whisky A Go-Go         CDR   1   Whisky a Go-Go   A Decent show from the tour. The performance here is okay, but we do get a nice country ditty from the band, someone broke an instrument and they just buy some time and try not to get booed off of the stage. The sound here is a little compressed, but considering the technology form 1974, I think that the sound here is actually quit clear. Its not too polished sounding though. This show is more for the completists and people who went to the show.
12/12/74   Convocation Hall         CDR   1   Come in and Feel the Show   The performance here is definatly, excellent, but the sound here is definatly lacking. Its very boomy sounding, and not much definition in the sound, so it kind of feels like your about 3 miles from the band instead of in the hall. I think that there are definatly better sounding shows from the tour.
12/16/74   Agora Ballroom         CDR   1   Finding Prime   Here is a great sounding show. The performance is lacking, as apposed to the first time in Cleveland. The performance, is, well, boring! Its way to polished sounding, and they seem to not enjoy themseleves. The sound is excellent, luckily. It has good highs and devastating lows, but it dosen't make up for the absolutly bland performance.
12/22/74   Electric Lady Studios         CDR   1   Electric Rush   Here is a great sounding show from the later portion of the Rush tour, its a decent performance, but the sound here is definatly excellent. There is some tape hiss, as that was an artifact of increasing the highs with the recording. They seem to be more intimate, and I think Geddy might be a little shy tonight. The overall sound is excellent, was great highs, but the bottom end seems to be lacking a tad, but nothing serious really. A great show, but not as good as the first time in Cleveland.
04/07/75   Agora Ballroom         CDR   1   Bad Boys in Cleveland   Here is another excellent show! The sound here is amazing, but there is some distortion as this is a second generation tape, but everything sounds amazing, Geddy sounds great with his bass and his vocals are great. The guitar is a little buried in the mix, but nothing that would ruin the show actually. The performance is much better than the last Cleveland apperance from the Rush tour, this is not boring at all! This show is a must have.
06/25/75   Massey Hall         CDR   1   In the Beginning   Here is a good show from the Toronto stop on the Fly By night tour. The sound overall is exceptional, but there is some distortion and tape hiss as this is an older source, but it sounds great other than that. The performance here is great, the band seems to be happy to be back in Canada after being away so long. A great show for the collectors, but I don't really know if the casual bootlegger will really like the sound all too much.
11/15/75   Rockford Armory         CDR   1   Stainless Steel   Back in the Caress of Steel tour, poor guys. The rarity is enough to get this bootleg, but I think that it is too rare for any on other than the Collector or the completeist as this source dosen't sound all too good. Geddy is almost inauidable, but you can still hear, fortunatly. The performance is excellent, but I think that the sound is way too bad for it to make up for the faults.
05/30/76   Nelson Center         CDR   2   Tuning Man   A show I remember. Well, me and my friends were going down to the Nelson center, nothing interesting happened until we got there. There were so many screaming people, shouting "2112, 2112, 2112!" And I was like, what the hell! I hadn't even heard of 2112, I only knew Fly By Night and Caress of Steel, but that didn't stop me from going in. The performance was good, but Alex has so many tuning problems, it was funny at Working man, when Geddy introduced it as "Tuning Man" hence the title of this boot. I enjoyed the show, and I bought 2112 right after. The sound here is great, but its a bit brutal as its a genned tape. The overall sound is excellent as it is a soundboard recording. A must-have show.
10/25/76   Paramount Theater         CDR   2   By-tors Battle V 2.01   I think that this is a great show, performance wise. The sound here is bad for a soundboard, but it would be amazing if it were an audience recording or something of that nature. Tere is a lot of tape hiss with this recording, but all of the instruments come in loud and very clearly. The performance here is amazing, but they seemed to be more like a Heavy Metal band, the way that they played so heavily, its amazing. A good show, but the sound could be better.
11/27/76   The Winterland         CDR   1   Tear the Temples down   A good 2112 tour show. The performance here definatly rocks, its amazing that anyone wanted them as an opening act, they were so amazing! They are rocking tonight, and I think that they are the stars tonight, they probably blew the main act to the ground with this one. The sound here is also excellent, more or so a low excellent though. There is little distance, and it isn't too compressed, but I think that there is a tad lack of overall clarity with the recording, but overall the sound is outstanding. The sound and performance are great, so you should get this show!
11/28/76   Selland Arena         CDR   1   The Work of Gifted Hands Platinum Edition   Another show that I went to. I was vacationing down by Fresno, and me and my friend saw an add for a Rush concert down at the Selland Arena, and we knew we had to go. The performance was so amazing, we left right when the other band was supposed to play, so I didn't even see the real concert, but we went to see Rush, and we saw Rush! The sound here is near soundboard, the mix is perfect for an Arena. Everything is so clear and detailed, and they give a great performance to match! We get probably the best version of "2112" out there, and Geddys voice was amazing tonight. An amazing show that you need to have in you collection.
12/10/76   Capitol Theater         CDR   1   Out of Hiding   Here is a nice Proshot video rip from Rushs first apperance at the Capitol Theater. The sound here is a bit flat, and the mix ins't all to great, but it all seems to be fine with the sound as it is listenable. This is unfortunatly in mono, though. The performance is the best though. Geddy is so amazing tonight, and I always wonder why he is an underrated vocalist, and an overrated bassist. But I think its for good reason. Everything is very good here, a must have recording.
12/31/76   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   In the End   This show is near terrible, but the performance here is excellent. They really want 1977 to come, and it is a new age of the band after that momment. This show is only listenable because of the year change and the outstanding performance, but this show definatly won't win any sound awards, as that might go to a few other good shows out in the 2112/All the Worlds a stage tour. There is a definate lack of definition and clarity, and the bass is muddy and very heavy here. This is good only for historical reasons, and because Geddy is awesome.
04/17/77   Lisner Auditorium         CDR   2   We have Assumed Control   Here is a fine performance from the later part of the All the Worlds a Stage tour, and a great show we get. The sound here is actually good, but it lacks overall definition in the mids, and the bass is very muddy. There is some tape hiss and distortion, but it won't ruin your listening experience. The speed also runs a bit slow here, but I don't think that it kills my judgement of the performance, luckily. They give an amazing and very blistering version of "The Necromancer" which was only played on the 1977 portion of the 2112/All the Worlds a Stage tour. There aren't too many cuts, and none of them are too noticable if there are any, so thats lucky for us.
04/22/77   Broome County Arena         CDR   1   Ron's Vault Release #6   Here is a decent show, but this is unfortunatly so incomplete. We missed Xanadu, The Necromancer, and even The Twilight Zone, so this is very unfortunate. But, on the good side, at least we have what is here. The sound is exceptional, but at times a bit distant, so it can't go higher than a B or a B+. The performance here is okay, nothing really special though, so I can't give it a great score, but I'll give it a decent score at least. A show that is worth for a larger collection.
05/10/77   Riverside Theater         CDR   2   You Can Trust Your Car To The Man Inside The Star   A great show we have here. The sound here is definatly good for its age, but it suffers from the clarity issue that alot of audience recordings from this time suffer from. It is very clear once the audience isn't so loud, so you can get a clean reception of what the band is doing, and what they are doing is being amazing! The show is great, with the earliest known version of "Xanadu" before the England/European tour, which is in fine form tonight. A great show all around for your collection.
06/01/77   City Hall         CDR   2   The Necromancer   The only reason to get this is because this is the first show of the European tour from the All the Worlds a Stage/ 2112 tour, and we get a decent performance. I don't think that much or anything special is going on down on the stage, but they don't seem to be doing anything bad on the stage. The sound here is okay, bit its distant and distorted, and there is tape hiss as this is a much older source than other shows. I think that this is really only listenable for the historical purpose of the concert.
06/02/77   Free Trade Hall         CDR   2   Summer Nights   Geddy is a little sick tonight, and the band is not at their greatest, so I don't think that the performance is par to the others from the tour. The sound here is excellent for a 1977 audience recording, everything is pretty clear (except for the low end at times) but everything is pretty detailed, and they high end is the most telling of all. The audience is very happy to see the band, and they are loud between tracks. They don't talk or anything when the songs are played, so you can hear everything pretty clearly on this night. The version of "Xanaud" is so kick ass, you swear that it is the best verison of it from any tour! A great show, but the performance is a tad lacking.
06/04/77   Hammersmith Odeon         CDR   2   Thank You For Your Warm Welcome   Here is an amazing show, with an amazing performance and decent, to say the least, sound. They give probably the strongest of any performance from anywhere, so I think its worth having just for that! Geddy is in the best mood tonight, and it really shows! I think that this show could be much better with the soun, but I don't think that it is bad enough to say its worst of tour material. Its in mono, but it dosen't seem to have too many mono-qualities about it, but it has tape hiss and distortion because this is an aged and genned show, but still one that you cannot miss.
09/28/77   Selland Arena         CDR   2   Ron's Vault Release #5   Another show that I went to. The performance was amazing, and it was a great night in Fresno, as we were having a good time (me and my girlfriend). I think that this is the best from the Farewell to Kings tour, as there are so many bad ones, this is very refreshing to listen to. The sound here is great, the bass is so good, but there is a bit of compression. There is no distance, but there is a little bit of tape hiss as this is a very old source, to say the least. The performance is near best of tour, they are so smoking tonight, they were awesome! Geddy is in an amazing mood tonight as well, so we get an amazing performance that I will always enjoy. The concert I went to 30+ years ago, and its a great one at that.
11/12/77   The Palladium         CDR   2   Art of Sound   This is another best of from this tour, and its not a bad one at that. The show has many problems, like the sound tends to warble alot, but I think that the overall sound is great. Geddy can seem a bit distant, but the acoustics and the bass are amazing here. I think that the performance here is rockin. They enjoy themselves, and the audience is really helping them, they are great tonight. An amazing recording, a vivid sounding show, with one of the best peformances from the tour.
11/26/77   The Tower Theatre         CDR   2   Lost Tapes   This is a master source recording, unfortunatly. I think this would have been great if it wasn't so badly handeled. There isn't too much audience noise, and the mix seems to be decent for the most part, but it just dosen't sound right. There is just distortion up the ying yang, and the tape hiss is there, which is very wierd for a master audience source. There isn't any distance, I think it may have been due to the fact that the person who taped the show tape the levels too high, thus the distortion and such. Thats too bad because the performance here is pretty good for its time. Definatly for the collectors, or the Kings lovers.
12/10/77   Hollywood Sportatorium         CDR   2   Canadian Bacon Platinum Edition   A great show, performance and sound-wise. There is no hiss, and the clarity of the instruments is absoulutly incredible. It is is a distant recording, but I think that this is a great recording for the time being. The mix here is near dreadful, unfortunatly. Neil is so low in the mix, and Geddy is pretty disant vocally, I don't know what to think of it. The bass sounds great, and the guitar is in the lead in the mix. The drum solo sounds fine, which is very wierd as he was very distant the moment before. The performance is excellent here, probably because of the absolutly fantastic weather down in Flordia, so they give a very warm performance. A good show start ot finish.
12/12/77   Fox Theatre         CDR   1   Cinderella Kings   A very good show from the A Farewell to Kings tour, and not a bad one at that. The sound here is very good, but the high end kills me because its so bright, and the low end dosen't have so much definition. There isn't distortion, nor tape hiss which makes a very clear reception of what they are doing. The performance isn't too bad at all, but I don't think anything too special for me. A good show, but not best of tour for me.
12/29/77   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   Kings on the Stage   A very old sounding recording. The first disc is terrible when compared to the second disc. They are both pretty listenable, luckily. The performance here is okay, but nothing that would hit me as amazing is really going on tonight. Geddy is in a good mood for the concert tonight, but he is not in the best of tour mood for me. The sound on the second disc is very good, a little hollow, but not too distant. The first disc is very muffled, and more distant sounding than that of the other disc. A decent show, but there are much better shows from this tour.
02/16/78   The Apollo         CDR   2   Premium Import   This is a great show from the Farewell to Kings tour! The sound on disc 1 is much better than that of disc 2, but they both sound great, and we get a great performance! The band seems to be feeding off of the energy in the crowd, and we get the most energetic crowd known to man besides the people in Rio, Scotish Rush fans! They were clapping with every single song, and it was really good. There isn't too much distance with the recording, so you can get a clean and clear reception of the band. A great show you should get your hands on as soon as you see any review for it!
02/17/78   The Apollo         CDR   2   Castles in the Distance   A good show we have here. The performance isn't as strong as the first night, but I definatly think that the sound and sonics here are much better. There is a bit of distance and tape hiss with this recording, but the mix here is great for the 1977-1978 techonology that was available at the time. The performance here is a bit lacking because they are very tired from their first amazing performance at the Apollo, but its not terrible. Geddy is a little tierd tonight, but I don't think that Neil or Alex is too tired, just Geddy. But, I think that the audience was having a great time tonight, they were clapping with every song, and enjoying themselves to their fullest. A great show, a must have for the collectors.
02/22/78   City Hall         CDR   2   Sound and Fury   Here is probably the best performance of the Farewell to Kings tour, they are so on fire tonight, it really is unbeilevable. I think that the sound here is good for its time, but very hollow and compressed sounding, a tad distant, and there is tape hiss. The production runs a bit slow here, but you can fix that up. The show would be much more listenable without the speed problem, but I think that the mix here is exceptional for its time, luckily. A good show, but not best of tour worthy for the sound.
02/23/78   The Apollo         CDR   2   Nineteen Hundred And Seventy-Eight   The sound here is really bad because of the speed problem, and if you didn't have the speed problem, this would be an amazing show to listen to. I think that the clarity of the instruments is really great, it amazes me how 1977 technology can pick up this stuff. The show has a few cuts, none of the them are too noticable though. The performance here is alright, but nothing really special is going on from the stage, and the audience isn't too bad hear either. I think its not a bad boot, but there are much better ones out there (Castles in the Distance, Canadian Bacon Platinum Edition, and Art of Sound would be much better sounding and have better performances than this show really.)
05/10/78   Convention Center         CDR   2   Nigra Falls Revisited   An amazing sounding show we have here! The sound alone is enough to get this show, its easily the best Farewell to Kings tour era show from what I have heard so far. There is amazing clarity of instruments, and there isn't too much distance that it would be distracting in anyway possible. The performance here is also very excellent. Geddy is in a very good mood tonight, and this show has Cinderella man, as this is the complete source! A great show.
11/04/78   Pacific Coliseum         CDR   2   Waltz of Sheerves   This is an exellent show, it almost comes near Oslo with performance and sound. There is zero distance here, the sound is so excellent, you think that this show is a soundboard recording, its really that good! Geddy is in the best shape of his life, his voice is excellent, and hiss bass is so ferocious here, it gives you goosebumps just listening to this fantastic recording. Speaking of bass, the bass is the best sounding instrument here, and the drums and the drum solo are near to pure heaven as you can get, its that good! The performance here is excellent, extremely tight for being so early in the tour, its amazing. Alex is very funny in By-tor, you should check that out! A great show, a must have for the hemispheres lovers.
11/15/78   Warnors Theater         CDR   2   Looking Down from Olympus   This show is one of my favorites because of the performance, it is so amazing here. Geddy is so pronounced in Cygnus X-1, you think that the song is official, his voice is crisp here. The sound is excellent, with some tape hiss and low-end distortion that makes this a little bad, but the overall sound is definatly better than most Hemispheres shows. I think this is a must have, I'll keep it at that.
11/20/78   Convention Center Arena         CDR   2   A Desert Passage Platinum Edition   There is something wrong with this boot! The sound here is amazing, definatly, but the performance is not by any means. The sound is near official quality, but lacks because there is some tape flucuation in a few songs, and the cuts were filled in by a few other boards from this tour, so purist better stay away from this show. The sound his crisp highs and great lows, with the bass being the low man in the mix, unfortunatly. The performance here is so boring, it literally kills me. They were so dead tonight, and was too boring for me to site through at times, but the sound quality is great. Only for semi-purists.
12/02/78   Cobo Arena         CDR   2   Motor City   This is amazing. The sound, in my opinion, is better than the Tuscon show at times. The performance is way better than that show, and I think this has to be my favorite show from most of the tours from any of the Rush tours, its that damn good. The performance here is phenominal, Geddy is so good tonight, his voice is so amazing. Alex is shreading so well here tonight too, with Hemispheres shreiking the ears with amazing guitar solos. The sound is amazing here too. It starts of at an A-/A grade, but as Anthem goes on, it goes to an A+ stratforward. The best Hemispheres show out there, no doubt.
12/16/78   International Amphitheatre         CDR   2   Fallen Trees Platinum Edition   I think that this is a very good show, performance-wise. The sound, take some time, and you might like it. Its the master source, so this is the best that you are going to get from this show, unless there was another taper there. There is a lot of traveling between left and right channel with this recording, its very distracting at times. There is some taper talk here and there, but nothing distracting, for me anyways. There is some distortion at places, but this is a good show. I remeber being in back of the Amphitheatre, and it was so amazing, they played so well. A good show to have, but not incredible with the sound.
12/29/78   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   Welcome Back Home   A very good show indeed. The sound here is enough to get it. There isn't so much high end, but the low end here is amazing, and the bass sounds exceptional here tonight. The performance here is very good too. They are very happy to be in Canada again, and give a good performance, eh! A must have performance, as it is a very good Hemispheres recording.
02/03/79   Richfield Coliseum         CDR   2   Dedication Platinum Edition   Man, if this were a soundboard recording, this would be the best bootleg ever made! The performance is amazing, everything is so perfect, and that is what happens when Rush is in cleveland. Interesting vocals in La Villa, never heard that before this show. The sound here isn't bad, but its exceptional. Geddy is in fine form tonight, and he is having fun in "Bastille Day" and "A Farewell To Kings" were he sounds amazing. The high end is way too bright here, but I think that there is a good amount of clarity with the instruments. A good show, a more enjoyable than normal audience recording from the tour.
04/04/79   War Memorial Auditorium         CDR   2   Turn the Pages of History   A boot I wish had much better sound, because the performance here is actually oustanding. Geddy is in fine form tonight, but not as good as the early parts of this tour. Its still early enough in the tour that they still played circumstances, and that is a rarity in itself. The sound is a little more to be desired, but not terrible. There isn't too much clarity, and there is a great amount of distance. A subpar show, but performance is amazing here.
04/24/79   City Hall         CDR   2   Belt Up and Listen   This show has many qualities to it, sometimes it sounds pretty good for the most part, and sometimes it sounds very compressed and very distant, but that is only a few tracks. I think that the different qualities make this a somewhat hard to listen to recording, but I think that it is just barely listenable by my standards. There isn't much clarity, and everything seems to lack punch besides the high end, but everything is very distant too. The performance is probably the only good thing about this show, because it is a very rare performance. Another subpar show from Hemispheres.
04/29/79   Apollo Theater         CDR   1   Fun in England   A show I wish sounded better, because the performance was decent. I don't think that it was as good as the next night, though. The sound is very distant, and there is tape hiss and there is distortion in places. Not my favorite recording by a long shot, from any tour.
04/30/79   The Apollo         CDR   2   Armed with Sense and Liberty   Here is a very good show from the 1979 portion of the Hemispheres tour, and we definatly get a very, very good one. The sound gets better as the show goes on and by the end, this show definatly sounds fantastic. There is a part in A Farewell to Kings were it seems the microphone was placed underwater, it had a very swirly effect to it, but the show is very enjoyable, even by my standards. The performance is pretty good here to, but nothing stands out as amazing, just a very good performance all toghether. A must have show for the Hemispheres lovers, and even for the casual fans.
05/02/79   The Empire         CDR   2   Secret Empire   What kills this show is that it is extremely distant. Its so unlistenable at times because it is so distant, the band seems to be miles away from you, and sometimes that really dampens the listening experience. The performance here is okay, but nothing that would standout as very good or anything. A show that will put people off with the sound, but the performance is good.
05/23/79   Concert House         CDR   2   Lost Circumstances   A very good show that has nice sound and a very good performance to top. A more for the hemispheres lovers as it can be distant and compressed at times, there is some distortion and tape hiss as well. The performance is great because Rush is playing in Sweden.
05/24/79   Chateau Neuf         CDR   2   A Passage to Oslo Platinum Edition   An excellent sounding show with one of the best performances from the whole tour. Geddy is in the best mood tonight, and it really shows as he turns in an exceptionally amazing performance tonight. There is some tape hiss with the production, but nothing bad at all. A good show.
05/27/79   Stadhalle         CDR   2   Invasion from Canada   The sound here is very good, but I wish that this was the complete source, as this show is missing most of Hemispheres and a few other songs. The performance here is pretty good, but not as good as the next day in Offenbach, but a very spirited performance we get here.
05/28/79   Stadhalle         CDR   2   Black Forest   One of the best performances, hands down, from the tour. Much better than the Tuscon show, and the performance is par with the Detroit show a couple months earilier. Geddy is in a very good mood tonight, with the best version of 2112 out there by far, and Alex sounds great. The sound is amazing, so clean, crisp, clear and excellent quality that you might think that this is offical at first. A very nice show to have, and complete.
06/04/79   Pinkpop Festival         CDR   1   A Right to Passage   If this were complete this would be the best show out there. The sound is near offical, its so crisp with amazing highs and great lows that make this show a must have for the sound. The show itself is very good, they love to be at festivals, and they are playing in one! Its a very good performance! A must have for Hemispheres lovers.
08/22/79   Capital Centre         CDR   2   Premature Waves   This performance was good, and I should know because I was there. The sound here is very compressed sounding, but you can hear all of the instruments just fine, which is really what I want. The performance is great, the boys are really amazing tonight, and they give in a great performance.
09/02/79   Varsity Stadium         CDR   2   Preludes of the Future   This show sounds very good, but the performance at times is lacking. There is a good amount of both highs and lows with this recording, but it seems rather distant sounding. The boys are a little tierd tonight, but they give a pretty good recording for us to have. A decent show.
09/12/79   Allentown Fairgrounds         CDR   2   Tour of the Semisphers Platinum Edition   This show is amazing. The sound, the performance, its all too great. This is the first generation copy, as I do think that the masters may have been lost, like many other shows masters. The sound is very good, with some distortion, but the mix is perfect. The bass is great, and highs are amazingly captured here, its a great show. The performance here is also very amazing, so to speak. They are so happy to show off Spirit of the Radio and Freewill, and they both do rock tonight. One of my favorite boots ever.
01/21/80   Le Forum         CDR   2   Distant Overture   Here is a great show, one of my personal favorites from the tour. The sound here is very good, there is some distortion and tape hiss as this is an older source, but the oevrall sound is excellent. And, Geddy was having problems with his monitor tonight, as there is some bass distortion you can pick up, but none that is very noticable. The performance is very early in the tour, so there are some mistakes here and there, but they played very well tonight. A good show, should make its way into your collection any time.
01/26/80   Mid-Hudson Civic Center         CDR   1   National Sound   If this show was complete, I think it would have been a decent listen, but its not. The sound here is very compressed sounding, even for a soundboard recording! Its very boring to listen to, as I feel asleep a few time while listening. There is a good amount of highs, but I think that the low end compression kills this recording. The performance, as a suprise, is also very boring sounding. They seem to be a little dead tonight, and I think that leads to a bad recording, in some sense. Only for the collectors and the ones who love Permanent Waves.
02/02/80   Tarrant County Convention Center Arena         CDR   2   Timeless Wavelength Platinum Edition   This is by far my favorite Permanent Waves show to listen to. The performance, the excellent sound, its all very great here. I'll start off with the amazing performance! All I can say is wow! They were on fire tonight, they love to be in Fort Worth, and it really shows by this date! Geddy was in such a great mood, it made this show even more enjoyable to listen to! I think that the sound here is also very excellent. We get amazing sounding bass resopnse here, and the mix here is near perfect for an arena show! Geddy is such a great vocalist here, and it really shows by this date, in my opinion. There is some tape hiss here, but that is no distraction to this absolutly awesome sounding show! A must have recording if you don't have it already, and if you were wondering, it beats the 1-26-80 show by a longshot!
02/14/80   Kiel Auditorium         CDR   1   St. Louis '80 - Remaster Edition    If this show were complete, this would be the best Permanent Waves show out there! The sound is so crisp, it amazes me and I definatly think that this is official quality by one hear! The performance, granted, is pretty good, but nowhere near the Fort Worth show, as this one is more along the lines of the 3rd night at Hammersmith Odeon, which is to say very good. The sound is enough to get this show, and it is great to hea a less boring soundboard show from the tour!
03/02/80   Tingley Coliseum         CDR   1   Raw Source   If the sound weren't so genned and so distant, this would be a very good recording, as the performance is very good here, but not as strong as the Fort Worth or the Montreal show. The sound, is considered many things by me, none too flattering. There is muffled qualities to this show, and its distant. There is no clarity of the instruments, and it seems very flat, suggesting that this is a mono recording for whatever reason that may be. The performance dosen't save the recording, but it is very good. This is very unfortunate that it is incomplete, because it would be great to hear some other songs that would have been performed tonight. Only for the strong collectors.
03/10/80   Great Western Forum         CDR   2   One year later and another hostage is released   Here is a very good audience recording from the middle of the Permanent Waves tour. The sound here is short of excellent, but it is a low excellent, given the A-, its good. There isn't too much low end, but the high end is really good here. The bass response here is exceptionally captured for being a high end recording. There isn't too much distance either. The performance is okay, both nothing great. A good show, but far from best of any tour.
03/19/80   Seattle Center Coliseum         CDR   2   Permanent Tour   There isn't too much to talk about with this show. Its okay all the way around though. The sound here is good for its tour, but its really bad in the long run really. There is a good amount of distance, and there is some distortion and tape hiss, suggestion a second or third generation recording. The performance here isn't great, a little flat tonight, but not exactly terrible tonight. A par show, but just barely.
03/21/80   The Coliseum         CDR   2   History in Ruins   The sound here is a hair, a tiny hair better than the two nights before this show. The performance here is definatly amazing though. Its not as good as Fort Worth, but better than the St. Louis show. Its very strong night for the boys, with such intensity with the band, its amazing. The sound here isn't great, but its good for its time. There is a good amount of clarity, but it lacks overall punch with the highs, but the lows are detailed enough. The bass response isn't as good as the Fort Worth show either. It is a rather distant sounding, but everything can be heard, and it dosen't seem to have too much distortion or tape hiss. Its a good show, but isn't as good as the Fort Worth show.
04/04/80   International Amphitheatre         CDR   2   The Applience of Science   A great show that I went to! I love the performance here, and I remember the night very well. Me and my friends were just hanging out in my basement, my girlfriend was yelling "Come look, I found this outside!" and it was an add to the International Amiphitheatre to see Rush, and I was freaking out, because I didn't know if they would come down here again. But we got seats near the front, and it was a great show. Its was nice to see Geddy with his extremely long hair, Alex was so good tonight, it gave me goosebumps just listening to this recording. The sound here will take a while for you to like, but its not terrible. There is some taper talk, but its not terrible. You can hear everyone fine in this recording, which is great. A good boot with a good performance.
05/08/80   The Palladium         CDR   2   Freedom of Music   If this show were complete, it would be a bit better. The sound reminds me of the Chicago show that I went to, but I think that the drums sound a bit better here, either way the sound is huge. There is some distortion and tape hiss, but the tape hiss is a bit more noticable. Its not terrible, but its there. The performance isn't bad, but its not really good either. Geddy is in a decent mood, but he dosen't seem to do anything special.
06/05/80   Hammersmith Odeon         CDR   2   On the Bar   Oh, another excellent boot from the European parts of the Permanent Waves tour. The performance here is excellent, better than the second night, but not as good as the Fort Worth show a few months prior. They seem to be having so much fun tonight, and it really makes this boot a must have from the tour, as it is one of my very favorites from this tour. The sound here is also very good for its time. There is not alot of distance, and the crowd isn't distracting between songs. They are very loud before and after tracks, but not that loud when songs are being played. There is no taper talk that I can hear. The bass sounds amazing here, and there is a good amount of lows and bottom end that make this a very detailed sounding show. The guitar is a tad low in the mix, but overall everything sounds great. A must have recording from the tour, really.
06/06/80   Hammersmith Odeon         CDR   2   The Big Ben   Another good European show from the Permanent Waves tour. These are very rare recordings, and its even rarer to get a decent sounding one. This show is good sounding and its a very, very rare boot from the 5 night stand at the Hammersmith Odeon. The performance, granted, is very good, but its not as strong as the night before it. The sound here is something to get crazy about, really. Sure, its a tad distant and there is some distortion, but what we have here is very good, better than most shows from the Permanent Waves tour, which is good to say the least. At times, its muffled as the taper accidentally covered the mic, but its all very good hear. The audience isn't as loud as the night before this show, but they are still pretty loud as they are excited to see the band. This is a good show, I wouldn't pass it up.
06/15/80   Queens Hall         CDR   2   Generations Lost   Wow, the only time that the guys played here. It turns in a very good performance, which is good. Unfortunatly, I cannot say the same for this absolutly terrible sound. It so distant and there is so much muffling in the noise, its really hard to listen to. Geddy seems to be happy tonight, but it dosen't lead to a happy sounding recording. Only for the hardcore Rush-lovers and for the people who were there.
06/20/80   The Odeon         CDR   2   The Odeon   I can't tell what the performance is like because this show sounds so bad! But, by the sounds of it, Geddy was sounding REALLY good tonight, and I think that you can hear the guys at times. The sound here is absolutly terrible, the worst of the European bunch. The instruments are so hard to hear at times, but I guess thats the meaning of a rare recording. If this sounded a bit better it would have been good.
09/16/80   Centroplex         CDR   2   Moving to Baton Rouge   Another bad rare show. This performance here is very strong, but its not Largo 80 or Allentown 80, or even Allentown 79! This show is very bad sounding, I won't pull to many punches. Its muffled and its very distant, and I can give it that its got alot of cuts. The performance and historical reasons are the only reason to get this show.
09/26/80   Capital Centre         CDR   2   First Contact   This might not be Allentown 80, but its much better than the Baton Rouge 80 boot, in terms of sound and in terms of performance, as it was a good night for the boys. The sound has some phasing, but overall it sounds pretty good. Its not to distant, and everything sounds very good here. The performance here is very strong, as Geddy sounds so good tonight, it gives me goosebumps listening to 2112 its very good. The sound gets better as the show goes on, it starts at a B then gets to a B+ grade as it goes into disc 2.
09/30/80   Allentown Fairgrounds         CDR   2   Something Old, Something New   This show is great, because I was there! I was right by the soundboard guy too, he did record the whole show, and I don't know why this is incomplete, but the sound is amazing here. There is a good amount of highs and lows here. 2112 and Freewill sound great here, with amazing performances of both of them. By-tor and the Snowdog sounds a bit compressed, but the rest of the show sounds amazing. The 2nd generation tape was used for 2112 and Freewill, but the rest of the show suffered from severe distortion and cuts. The 1st generation was used for the rest of the show, but it had some more tape hiss than the 2nd generation source, but it sounds great any way it was made. A great show, a must have for the Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures lover.
03/01/81   International Amphitheater         CDR   2   Exit....Stage Right   An excellent show soundwise, probably one of the absolute best from the tour, though the first generation copy of this show is much better. The performance here could be much better, granted, this is their fourth or so night at the Amphithearter, so they might be a little tired after those first few shows or so. The sound is excellent, but sonds a little old as it is a little more genned than some other sources from the Moving Pictures tour. The mix is absolutly wonderful for any audience recording from its era, and its definatly not distant at all. This show is one of my most loved shows that I own, so you can't go wrong trading this show with me.
03/23/81   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   Toronto's Last Stand Part 1   Excellent show. The performance is easily one of the best from the tour, as the recorder captures the sound extremely throughly. The performance is also the best of the 3 night stand, which is understandable as this is when they are pumped to do the stand, and the 2nd and 3rd night might take a toll performance wise. This, unfortunatly, is the worst sounding of the 3 shows though. However, it is very good. You can hear everything very well, its just a tad distant at times, which at times dampens the listening experience for some, but it does sound very good as it does not have any distracting audience noise or any tape hiss as this is the first generation source of the show.
03/24/81   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   Toronto's Last Stand Part 2   Oh man, the sound here is definatly the best of the 3 night stand at the Gardens. The performance, unfortuantly, suffers greatly as they don't seem to be enjoying themseleves, and overall the performance seems to be very boring and extreremly flat. They don't mess up alot, its just that they don't seem to be enjoying themeselves too much to make this show very enjoyable. The sound is excellent, one of the best from the tour. There is a great amount of clarity, and not too much distance with the recording. There is no tape hiss as this is a first generation copy that I have. There is some compression in places (maybe a blocked mic, or something along those lines or even tape flucuation as some may have said) but overall the sound is great, even competes with the Chicago show at times, but lacks in overall fidelity and overall sound quality. A must have show for sound, but the performance here you can easily skip and keep on going.
03/25/81   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   Toronto's Last Stand Part 3   Here is the third and final night at the Maple Leaf Gardens for Rush, and it turns in a much better performance than the night before. This show does not beat the first night in overall performance, as the first night challenges even the best Rush performances today, but this one is not flat at all, and they don't seem to be all too tired like the night before. The only problems with the overall performance is there are some mistakes the take place, but its not too bad. The sound quality here is good, not as good as the night before, but the second best as it is much better than the first night. There is a good amount of clarity, and not too distant. This show is overall the best because of the mix in oevrall quality, but its not the best of the tour.
03/27/81   The Forum         CDR   2   Red Barchetta   Very good show that we have here, as it is proffesional, of course. For those of you who are wondering what this is, this is the Exit...Stage Left soundtrack, and its well worth tracking down as it does sound very good. The bass response is overall very excellent, and of course the mix is near perfection as it is a proffesionally mixed show. The peformance is very good, with Geddy giving in a great show tonight, and Alex is really having fun tonight. My main problem here is that, with most of Rush's official releases back in the 1980's, its very incomplete, what is here. Its a good package that you will definatly want.
04/12/81   Tarrant County Convention Center         CDR   2   For What its Worth Platinum Edition   What an excellent bootleg that we get here. Not only great sound, but we get probably the best overall performance from the tour, its that good! They love to play here at Fort Worth, and this definatly shows. They are so fun tonight, and it just makes you so happy to listen to this show. The sound here isn't best of tour, but its very good what is here. The mix is perfect, without any distracting audience noise or too much tape hiss killing the overall mix, as it is definatly excellent. Geddy's vocals sound definatly excellent here and you can hear everything very well. A must have show, no matter what.
05/18/81   Madison Square Garden         CDR   2   Picture This   Here is a very good show from the Moving Pictures tour, and they give a great show. The performance here is very strong, and they give the most awesome version of Wipeout just before Limelight, it is so awesome, thats what makes this a great bootleg to own. The sound on the first disc is an easy A to me, as there is great stero seperation, and there is no audience noise. There is no distance with the recording, and the mix is near perfection. The sound on disc 2 is terrible to me, I will completely honest. Its loses its overall clarity, and it becomes much more compressed sounding, so I can only recommend disc 1 to you really.
05/24/81   Civic Center         CDR   2   Streets of Diversity   A great show here. The performance is excellent, definatly, as it is Victorias Day in Canada, and they boys don't dissapoint tonight. The sound here is definatly good, as everything comes through very well here. There is some distance and some tape hiss as this is an older source, but it is definatly forgivable as something so good sounding can come from such an old second generation tape. A must have show for anyone.
06/16/81   Convention Center         CDR   2   Anahiem The Definative Edition   Oh man, this is the hands down best from the tour, it blows away the soundboard because its complete! The show here is very good, I won't give it a straight A+ because there are some mess-ups by the band, they seem to be very spirited for the performance overall though. Geddy is in a very good mood tonight, hitting all of the right notes, and Alex is pretty good. Neil and Alex are the trouble makers tonight, they screw up alot, and its pretty funny, but a very good performance. The sound is amazing, i will admit that. This thing sounds like its right off of the soundboard, more or so like a 2nd generation soundboard, but the clarity of the recording is absolutly amazing. The mix is amazing with awesome lows and highs, and just the right amount of atmosphere right in there with this awesome performance. Blows Chicago right out of the water overall.
10/31/81   Deeside Leisure Centre         CDR   2   On European Holiday   This is an awesome show for sure, its excellent. The performance here is so strong, I might even think its better than the Montreal show. They sound so amazing tonight, it startles me its so good. The sound quality here is pretty good too, nothing to complain about. The mix is excellent, with the keyboards overwhelming at times. The keys shake your whole body once you hear the opening notes of Subdivisions. There is a tape eat at YYZ, the beginning, no music is missing. This is also the full show, so thats awesome too. An awesome show you won't regret if you get it.
11/02/81   Brighton Conference Center         CDR   2   Freewill and a Broken String   The best Moving Pictures/Exit...Stage Left show out there. This is a smidge better than Anahiem at times, and a hell of a lot better than the Chicago show in seperation and overall clarity with the band, thats how good this show sounds. The mix is perfect, one would swear that this show is definatly a soundboard recording! There is very little audience noise between the songs, and there isn't much taper talk, and the talk that is there isn't distracting at all because the musical signal is way too strong, and overpowering. There is no tape hiss as this is the master tapes, luckily. This is very complete too, and I don't think that there are too many cuts, and the ones that are here are not very noticable at all. The performance is excellent here, too, luckily. Though not on the lines of MSG '81 or the Deeside show, but its much better than the Toronto shows and the Chicago show because it was pretty strong tonight. A must have show, you need it sometime in your collection, and if you don't have it, you don't know what your missing right now!
11/11/81   Concert Centrum         CDR   2   Vital Signs Platinum Edition   This is another must have show from the tour. The performance here is very strong, a little stronger than the next night at times. This show is incomplete, unfortunatly. Xanadu, a part of the Trees, and La Villa are missing completely. The taper had cut all of the audience noise and all of Geddy's talking right out of the recording, so its a little strange that way. Not to detract from the performance, as it is very good tonight. The sound is awesome here too. Though not as good as the Brighton show soundwise, it has the Deeside show beaten, and beats Chicago by very little at times. There is a very clear high end, its so detailed and very brittle at times, it makes it very fun to listen to. The mix is perfect, and there isn't too much distance with the recording, luckily. A great show to have, a must have for everyone who loves Rush.
11/12/81   Hemmerleinhalle         CDR   2   Breaking Sound Barriers   Here is a great show from the Moving Pictures/Exit...Stage Left tour, and one you might want to add to your collection sooner than later. Its a great show, the boys are doing pretty well tonight, keeping it a very strong performance. This performance isn't as strong as the Deeside performance, but probably a tad bit better than the Birghton show, but this is great. The sound quality isn't the best, but its great for its era. There is some tape hiss and clarity lose, but the overall sound is awesome. Everything can be heard very well. The mix is great, but the audience can get a little loud at times. An excellent show that should make it into you collection.
11/19/81   Sporthalle Böblingen         CDR   2   Live in Stuttgart 1981   The performance here is very good, but I wish I could say the same for the sound. There is compression so dreadful at times, it makes it a little unattractive. There isn't alot of taper talk, and there is some tape hiss as this is an older source. If you take away the compression, it would be a B+ or even an A- grade at times. You can hear everything very well. The performance is pretty good, but I don't think that its anything special. You can safley skip this one, but its good for the collectors.
12/02/81   Municipal Auditorium         CDR   2   Live in Nashville   Eh, this show can be considered many things by me, none of them approaching good in any manner. The performance is much better than the sound quality, but the performance here is still terribly lacking. They seem a bit tired tonight, and there isn't anything special going on tonight. Geddy's voice seems to be crash and burn tonight, not hitting the right notes and going into wierd pitches at times. The sound isn't any better. Its very distant, muffled, and there isn't alot of resolution. The audience is louder than the band at times, so it makes it that less enjoyable. Only for the collectors, if they even want this kind of show.
12/20/81   Hartford Civic Center         CDR   2   Permanent Pictures   Another show that I went to, and a good one at that. This was, I think, my second Moving Pictures/Exit...Stage Left show, and a good one it was. We sat all the way in back, we got really bad tickets, unfortunatly. There was this really annoying guy who kept yelling "Play Sunshine of Your fucking love!" He was so fucking annoying. He left afterwards, he was really drunk because he could barely walk! Anyways, he left at Limelight, so the rest of the show was a okay. The performance wasn't better than the Chicago one i went to, but it was pretty good. The sound is excellent here. The mix is near perfect, with only Freewil through Hemispheres having some distortion in places that ins't too annoying. Everything is very crisp sounding for a second generation source. A must have for the Moving Pictures lovers
04/03/82   Civic Center         CDR   2   Biloxi Nights   What a good show we get here. The sound is exceptional at the end of the show. The sonics at the beginning are very compressed with alot of audience noise, and alot of distance. It seems to fade after awhile, and becomes an awesome sounding show. The show here is the standout. They give a great performance, and Geddy gives a happy birthday to the soundguy right before a song, and its pretty cool. A show for the collectors, one that isn't too bad either.
04/11/82   Civic Center         CDR   2   Live in Lakeland Platinum Edition   Wow, the best from this very short Tour of the Nadars tour, the very best. The sound quality is very good here. Not too much distance, and the high end seems to be very detailed. Though it might not be as good as Anahiem 81 or Birghton 81, its just underneath that, and maybe even beating the Chicago show at times in overall clairty. The audience is fucking loud here, which kind of brings it back. They aren't too distracting inbetween songs (sometimes they are) but at the end of each song, its near defeaning at times, because of the popularity of the band, I bet. The performance isn't as good as the night a few weeks ago, its very good. Freewill and 2112 have problems with the pedals, but its a great performance. The Analog Kid and Subdivisions rock tonight, both in fantastic form.
10/09/82   Mecca Arena         CDR   2   In the Middle   An okay show, to say the least. There is some distortion and odd feedback on the bottom end, but everything sounds extremely clear on this recording. The audience is well behaved around the taper, but very loud on a whole. The show is amazing here. Milawakee has been a special place for Rush all the time, so we get a great performance, and a completely awesome version of Chemistry, to add! A good show for the collectors, as it has a great performance.
11/08/82   Joe Louis Arena         CDR   2   Digital Men   One of the 3 Signals shows that I went too, and one that I will always love forever. The sound quality is remarkable for a Signals show, and good on a whole as a matter of fact. The mix is amazing for an audience recording, the bass is super punchy and the guitars are perfect tonight. The vocals and keys sound marvolous on this recording. There is some phasing at the beginning of the recording, but it seems to settle down a bit after a while, and it becomes awesome. The show was awesome, I rememeber it really well. Me and a couple buddys planned to see them, we thought it was November 6! That was fun, the Arena had the poster, and we looked at the bottom "November 7 th and 8th, 1982" we literally shit our pants! We were so mad, but we got a hotel near by and we stayed there, and we saw them the next night, we also saw them the 8th, which is this one. The second night (this one) is alot better. They were good the first night, but not as good as this one. Geddy was in a much better mood this night. A good show, a must have for the Signals lovers as there are very few that reach the level of the Wembly show.
11/17/82   Maple Leaf Gardens         CDR   2   Distant Signals   Another good Signals show. There are very few that are good, so I will list the ones that are good for you new traders: Countdown to London, Music in the Abstract, A Digital Forum, Distant Signals, Digital Men, Electronic Countermeasures, Mass Production Zone, Signals De Quebec, and the Suite Signals box set. For those old school traders, you know what Im talking about. The sound here isn't as good as the Detroit show a couple nights previous, but its great. The mix is excellent, and the highs are exceptional. There is some tape hiss, that can get somewhat annoying at times, but nothing that would kill this show. The performance here is absolultly killer, unfortunate that the taper missed the first few songs, as it is very strong. A great Signals show to have because there are so few great ones.
12/08/82   Nassau Coliseum         CDR   2   Electronic Countermeasures remastered   This is awesome, definatly a great source to have. Its the remastered version of the Digital Reproductions release Electronic Countermeasures, as this one has the speed correction, and added fidelity. This one is much better. Its much better because it has the speed correction, it makes it sound normal to say the least. There is a great amount of clarity with the recording, and the audience is up for the show. The audience is very loud at the end of each song, but not inbetween songs, luckily. The performance is amazing, both nights at the Nassau Coliseum are awesome, both with about the same amazing performance. This show is a must have for the Signals lovers.
12/09/82   Nassau Coliseum         CDR   2   Music in the Abstract   Easily the second best from the tour, almost beating the Wembly show, but falling short because of some minor tape hiss. The sound quality is remarkable, you will swear that it is a high gen soundboard at times, the clarity is amazing. The mix is perfection, if you can beileve it, and the sound is just unbeilevable. The highs are a little brittle, but the lows can be okay for some time. The performance here is a winner too. They give some awesome performances to those New Yorkers there, and its awesome completely. This is a must have as it is near soundboard quality, but the hiss is a little annoying.
02/18/83   The LA Forum         CDR   2   The L.A. Kid   Here is a decent show from the Signals tour. There is some compression with the recording, but you can hear everything very well. There is no distance, but it can pick up a little bit of echo if you listen really closly at times. The performance is okay, but not as good as the New York shows a few nights previous. Its a good show, but no where near as good as the Wembly show.
02/26/83   Pan American Center         CDR   2   Excitment so thick   A decent show. The performance isn't very interesting, unfortunatly. There isn't much going on tonight, and they seem a bit dead tonight, Geddy isn't talking to the crowd like he usually does. The sound ain't any better. In the begining, this thing borders terrible, the sound was so muffled and unlistenable, you couldn't even tell that Spirit of Radio started! So it's not too great at the start. By the time Chemistry rolls around, its a great recording. Nowhere near the Wembly or New York shows, but a good show. One for the collectors, though.
04/07/83   Le Colisee         CDR   2   Signals De Quebec   Wow, another near Wembly show we get here, and we are very lucky that we do get this show. The only problem with the overall sound is that there is this shrieking woman near the taper, but she's not too bad. There isn't too much distance, and the band sounds quite excellent, especially the drums. The performance, wow. What a great one, its definatly amazing what is here. There is only one problem with the tape, a cut in the beginning of Chemsitry, its a fade in, so its not too annoying. A good show that you will definatly like.
04/08/83   Forum         CDR   2   Visual Chemistry   A decent Signals show, not one of the best, a personal favorite. The performance here is awesome, to say the least. Geddy is awesome, hitting all of the right notes, and has awesome bass abilities tonight. The sound here isn't awesome, but its pretty good. The bass extension is awesome here, but the mix is terrible. Its distant, and has tape hiss, oddly, and there is great amount of compression. The drums get buried in the mix, as do the keyboards, but the vocals, bass, and guitar come through fine. A show that is more for collectors.
04/09/83   Le Forum         CDR   2   A Digital Forum   Some claim that this is the best Signals show out there, I honestly disagree. Its a great show, don't get me wrong, but there are much better shows out there, with alot less audience noise as this one. The performance, luckily is definatly awesome. The sound isn't awesome, but not bad at all. There is some distortion in places, and some rough parts, but the audience kills it alltogther, I think. A good show for the Signals lover.
05/03/83   Ahoy Sportpaleis         CDR   2   Mass Production Zone   Wow, what a show we get here! We are very lucky that someone got into the Sportpaleis because this is one of the finest Signals boots that I have ever heard in my life. The sound is excellent, with only a bit of tape hiss that bring it to an A-, but this thing sounds great! There is no distance, and the mix is excellent for most of the time it seems. The performance here is definatly great too. The boys are in a great mood tonight, and Geddy is very talkative to the corwd for the most part. The dance music part is pretty cool. You have to get this awesome Signals show!
05/10/83   Philipshalle         CDR   2   New World   Good show we have here. These German shows can be pretty damn cool, and this is definatly one of them. First off, the performance is pretty damn good for its time. The boys are in a very good mood, and Geddy is hitting all of the right notes tonight. The sound is good, a little distant, but not bad by any means. A show for the Signals lovers, as I am myself, I know.
05/11/83   Rhein-Neckar-Halle         CDR   2   Signals from Suburbia   This is a decent German show, but not the best. The sound isn't great, its distant and overall lacks clarity, but you can hear everything pretty well for most of the time. The tape hiss is definatly present here for most of the time. The performance is okay, nothing too special, and nothing too bad goes on tonight, but they aren't completely sucking tonight. A decent show, more or so for all of those hardcore collectors who don't have this Signals show.
05/12/83   Forest National         CDR   2   Belgian Delights   Here is a decent Signals show, not that common at all, really. The sound is okay, nothing really special, but its pretty good for a Signals show. There is some echo and the bass isn't as loud as some other shows. The source is incomplete, too. The performance is pretty good, nothing extremely awesome, but the band puts on a solid performacne overall. A show for the Signals lovers, really.
05/14/83   National Exhibition Centre Arena         CDR   2   Suite Signals Part 1   Here is the second best of the Suite Signals boxset release by Digital Reproductions. The sound is pretty good, compressed to the midranges, and there is no distance and no hall echo with the recording. It sounds fairly good for a Signals show. The performance is great here, very uptempo, with the usual flub here and there, but none that are very noticable. A good Signals show, if not one of the better ones.
05/15/83   National Exhibition Centre Arena         CDR   2   Suite Signals Part 2   Here is an awesome Signals show for sure, the best from the Suite Signals boxset. The sound quality is exceptional, not as much compression as the first night, and the dynamic level is definatly far improved from the first night. It might be the postion, and there is no venue acoustics to worry about, as there is no echo. There aren't too many fidelity issues with the source either. The performance isn't as good as the first night, but definatly nice. It just dosen't to be as spirited, but none-the-less excellent for a Signals show. One show that you have to have.
05/21/83   Wembley Arena         CDR   2   Countdown to London   The best Signals show, no doubt in my collection so far. The only boot that rivals this show is the second night in New York (Music in the Abstract, 1982-12-09) which is good, but this source has far less hiss. The sound is amazing when compared to other shows from this tour, its amazing for any tour and is probably one of my favorite shows. The highs are amazing, as the bass and mid extensions are absolutly awesome here too. The mix is pretty much perfect, the bass is well represented, if not a bit low in the mix at times, but still very noticable. The drum solo, give it one listen, and you swear that this show is a soundboard recording! The performance is also very good. The only problem is when Alex losses track on Digital Man after the solo, and hits a wrong note here. But other than that, its a top-notch performance for a top-notch sounding show. You have to have this.
05/22/83   National Exhibition Centre Arena         CDR   2   Suite Signals Part 3   This is the worst in the boxset, but still not too bad at all. The sound is okay, nothing really special though. The performance isn't amazing either. This is best left for the collectors.
05/25/83   Royal Highland Exhibition Centre         CDR   2   Mad cows and Scotsmen   I was told this is a second generation source, and its not all that bad. There is some phasing, but with overall sound quality is very good. There is some tape hiss here too, but nothing very distracting. Its not too muffled either, actually, because it has a clear reception of the band. The speed is also correct here. The performance is probably the best of the tour. Its the last date of the tour, and they always end with a bang, and it shows. A good show to have in your collection.
