1 .shn sbd Bob Marley The Yvette Acoustic Tape 1976 01 - Are You Ready? 02 - When I Get To You 03 - God of All Ages 04 - Rumors 05 - They Set You Up My Son 06 - Jammin 07 - Easy Skankin 08 - Oh What A Day Recorded in one of Bob's girlfriend's houses this tape includes many songs that Bob never released and some that would become some of his most famous classics. The mood is really relaxed and Bob seems to be in a really great mood often laughing out loud at some of the things he is singing. He then gets a bit more serious with the deeply religious God of All Ages where he is accompanied by the heartbeat rhythm of a bongo drum. Rumors is also another great highlight featuring some fantastic vocal form. Bob on this tape also composes some of jammin as well as a very early rendition of Easy Skanking. He also chats a bit between songs about opening a hospital in Ethiopia. The tape closes out with Oh What a Day, which is a long very early version of what would become Misty Morning.

1 .shn sbd Bob MarleyThe Sons of Jah Acoustic Tape London 1977 01 - Exodus 02 - Jammin 03 - Waiting In Vain 04 - So Much Things To Say 05 - Misty Morning 06 - She's Gone 07 - Time Will Tell 08 - Unknown Jam 09 - ? This tape starts off with Exodus that is probably from a different session but it is included on here because it fits in well and it is often included in most sources of this session. Sons of Jah is a tape that just sits with you forever. The sweet version of Waiting in Vain that last's 19 minutes is just stunning. Bob Works with his voice so many different ways and by the end he is really in a great groove. Half way through So Much Things To Say there is a source switch. Another half of this tape was discovered a few years ago but someone has tampered with the sound. There is a strange echo and other effects added on but the music below is just amazing. Acoustic versions of Misty Morning and She's Gone have been a collector's dream for many years I am sure. The tape ends with an unknown jam that is possibly not even Bob but who knows. It has been included just in case.

Bad move because it started to rain again during Satellite and got bad enough that I had to lower the stand and clamp on an umbrella. Then it proceeded to rain steadily up until True Reflections, but it's not really noticeable, I don't think. Only some thumping, etc when I moved the stand up and down after #41. This was the loudest PA I've ever heard at a DMB show, especially Carter's toms and snare. I was in pain by the time Two Step came around, I don't think the recording captures the explosiveness of Carter's drums fully but it came out well. Anyway for the full effect stand under your lawn sprinkler and enjoy. =)

Cow Palace
Daly City, CA
3 cd .wav or .shn Master Soundboard Reel 3/23/74 Cow Palace Daly City, CA for those who care about this sort of thing: not long ago, a very nice copy of this show surfaced that purportedly derived from Dick Latvala's cassettes made directly from the master soundboard reels. This copy has cuts at the beginning of "Morning Dew" and in "Sunshine Daydream", and is also missing "Casey Jones" and "One More Saturday Night". Very recently, a "new" copy has surfaced without the extraneous cassette generation and, purportedly, is derived directly from the master soundboard reels. This copy is currently beginning to circulate (10/00) via a "Tree" on The Well, and also has the cuts at the beginning of "Morning Dew" and "Sunshine Daydream", but, includes "Casey Jones" and "One More Saturday Night" which are missing from the previous version. The "new" copy, however, introduces anomalies not present on the previous version. Specifically, there are 2 drop-outs present during the banter which occurs between the aborted "Playin' in the Band" and the actual "Playin' in the Band"(disc 2 track 5), a minor digi-snit at approximately the 4:15 mark of "Morning Dew" (disc 2 track 6),as well as missing the first several seconds of "Ship of Fools" (disc 3 track 1). Subsequently, the 2 drop-outs in the banter between the "Playin' in the Band"'s and the digi-snit in "Morning Dew" were patched in from the MSR>Cassette>DAT version. That same MSR>C>D version also provided the first 10 seconds of "Ship of Fools". The reel flips in "Morning Dew" and "Sunshine Daydream" were patched using an audience source. Please be aware that the occassional static/crackle- an example of which occurs during the banter between the end of the false start of "Playin' in the Band" and the restart of "Playin'in the Band"- is present on both versions, so are presumed to be on the master reels as well. Bottom line, I believe this to be the best available copy of this show, compiled from 4 different sources, patched with TLC, and made possible through the efforts of the usual group of suspects/mental patients. Sources: Master Soundboard Reel > DAT > CDR Master Soundboard Reel > Cassette > DAT > CDR Audience source supplies patch in "Morning Dew" from 0:21 thru 0:43, as well as the patch in "Sugar Magnolia" from 6:57 thru 7:22 The "meat" of the show is captured on Disc 2 and requires an 80 min disc For the 80 minute disc impaired, I'd suggest that you break the current disc 2 in half, with the new 74 min disc 2 ending after "Let It Grow" and the new 74 min disc 3 containing Playin'>UJB>Morning Dew>UJB>Playin'. patching/CD re-mastering by Scott Clugston EAC > SHN by Scott Clugston Disc 1 1st Set 1. 1 .shn A+ Bootleg CD Clone > EAC DAE (see below for log) > MKW SHN 1 shn, 1 audio. Bundled on same disc as Bob Marley 4/17/80. Text File (most of it, anyway): Janes Addiction 09-26-1991 Honolulu, HI - Aloha Tower Bootleg CD Clone > EAC DAE (see below for log) > MKW SHN by Brian Skalinder (bskalinder@neo.rr.com) Total Disc Time: 63:44 Track Listing: 01. Up the Beach 02. Whores 03. Standing in the Shower... 04. Ain't No Right 05. Thank You Boys 06. Three Days 07. Been Caught Stealing * 08. L.A. Medley 09. Classic Girl - Then She Did 10. Mountain Song 11. Stop! 12. Ocean Size 13. Trip Away - Chip Away * This file has a timestamp out of sequence from the rest because EAC could not extract cleanly the first time. I cleaned the disc, tried again, and it came out just fine. The following information and all .jpgs provided by: http://www.one-percent.com/bootography/janes_addiction/last_fixx.shtml Bootleg CD: 'Last Fixx' Bootleg Type: Concert Company: Kiss the Stone Records ID Number: KTS 569 Product Medium: CD Est. Availability: Extrenmely Rare Recording Source: Soundboard Sound Quality: Incredible Separation of Tracks: None Interesting Points: Good Intros to Many Songs "Pigs" Topic: N/A Total Running Time: 63:44 Show Notes: This was not a Lollapalooza '91 show date, but it was the last concert the original lineup of Jane's Addiction would perform, and the last time all four men would play together. Commentary: This is the best sounding live Jane's Addiction recording ever released. A clear soundboard recording where the audience is present at the appropriate times, but the band's performance is clear. This is a historic show, and its great to see it available in such a superb fashion. This show was the last performance Jane's Addiciton did before they broke up in 1991. This could also very well be the last time the band was together as a whole. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a Lollapalooza show. Nearly every aspect of this disc is done in a professional manner. The sound is unmatched, and the artwork accompanying the disc is as well. There is simply no other unofficial release of this calibur. Kiss the Stone really outdid themselves with this release. Unfortunately, this release is extremely rare for a number of reasons. It is such a superb show and package that no one in their right mind would want to part with it. Additionally, Kiss the Stone records was shut down a few months after releasing this disc. While a reformed version of the label popped up a few years later, they did not re-release this disc in large quanities, nor in its original state. There is video footage of this show, but the audio accompanying that video pales in comparison to this disc.

Koseinenkin Hall
Osaka, Japan
2 cd .wav or .shn A- DAUD 29mar76 Kousemenkin Hall, Osaka A once legendary 'cookie', released in a limited edition of only 150 vinyls of which 100 were confiscated by the police. Now available on (also limited) double-CD. It's the ONLY known recording of the 'A night At The Opera' tour. Great show (bit short, only 95 minutes) in pretty nice sound-quality. Great version of 'Now I'm Here' and a rare (and outstanding) performance of 'The Prophet Song' The audience can be heard though. There are a few females screaming their heads off and the audience is very clap-happy. Special thing: Freddy talking Japanese! Tracks: Disk 1: Bohemian Rhapsody Ogre Battle Secret Lady White Queen Flick Of The Wrist Bohemian Rhapsody Killer Queen The March Of The Black Queen-> Bohemian Rhapsody Bring Back That Leroy Brown Brighton Rock Son and Daughter The Prophet Song Stone Cold Crazy Disk 2: Doing Alright Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon Keep Yourself Alive Liar In The Laps Of The Gods Now I'm Here Rock And Roll God Save The Queen
