accurate at this time.
Marc Ribot was in attendance for 'As Above-> Vision of Kali' after his gig

and said he wasn't sure that was fair,
that if it meant that out of Trey Anastasio,
Stewart Copeland, and himself, then he was probably the most evil,
but that guys like Marilyn Manson and GG Allin are a heck of a lot
more evil than he is. Les said "I'm evil like Evel Kneivel".

Note: Channel adjustment during the first minute of Steppin'. I considered editing this
and fixing the channels but I decided keep it 'pure'. As for the Wally's jam, while
I was buying a beer during the end of the first tune, someone hit the right channel
phanton power switch by accident, so I ran it over to mono for the time the channel
was dropped out. there is also a high pitch noise at times which was caused by guitar
players getting too close to my mics(I assume).

Listening note: Cable connection problems d2t01: 05:36, & d2t02: 12:16, 14:52-15:00
Though this seed may not pass dankseed certification due to the three cable
conection problems in the first song of each set, I am %100 certain that
the overall sound quality will be much better than any other recordings of
this show. There were no other stage mics. All the other tapers were clamped
to the lighting pole approx. 20' back of the stage. The mix on stage was
perfect, and the tapes reproduce the sound very well. If this does not pass
dankseed certification due to the cable problems alone, I don't think it should
be restricted from circulation. Poll??
And for the record the flaw sounds are not errors from the digital domain,
apparently I was having these cable issues all weekend but I obviously didn't
notice them until I returned home after the weekend and listened to the DATs,
ouch!!!! The problems have been left untouched. If anyone with digital editing
skills can smoothe them out, by all means please let me know (danks@bu.edu).

No Setlist - Pure Improve...I tracked it as best I could.
========
Brad Houser - bass (Critters Buggin)
Skerik - sax (Critters Buggin)
Michael Shrieve - drums (Santana)
Reggie Watts - vocals (Maktub)
Michael Carabello (?) - percussions
"These five laid down some sweet, liquid grooves that had the packed flag pavilion shimmyin', shakin', laughin' and hangin' on their every move. It's always fun to watch Hauser kick out his trademark mercurial bass grooves, regardless of who he's playing with. Locked tight with Shrieve's drumming, they were the underlying current upon which Skerik and Reggie surfed. Those two were meant to play with one another and were simply amazing to watch! Playing a game of tag with each other's lines, Reggie would sing something and Skerik would blow the same line back at him through his tenor; sort of an ongoing musical knock-knock-who's-there. At one point Reggie started singing lines like he was calling out the rhythm to a tabla piece (in general, tabla players will sing the percussive lines they play before performing the piece on their tabla), and I couldn't help but wonder if he was aware of the practice. Memories of tabla maestro Vishal Nagar and his workshop at WOMAD USA came to mind. Reggie crooned, crowed, cockled and cackled, creating a large palette of monkey noises to amuse us. 100% improvisation, you could do nothing but smile and get down to the groove as Trilon held the crowd mesmerized with their performance."
