Unless I initiate a trade, I prefer B&P for music on my list - easier all around. Please send 80 minute blanks, they're just as cheap nowadays. I prefer branded CDs, have lost valuable music and interviews on store brand. NO STICK-ON LABELS. 2-3 days turnaround unless I'm on the road taping, in which case tack on 3 or 4 extra (especially summer festival season). Please email me before sending anything. If I don't believe a recording I have is the best available for a given show, I don't list it. Period. I have others, but please don't ask; I don't want to pollute the gene pool. Any AUD shows I do list will be close or equal to a board in quality. Don't let the AUD label scare you off! For my own recording, I use a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop with a 650Mhz PIII processor and 512 MB RAM. A/D conversion is done at 44.1 khz 24 bit stereo through a Waveterminal U2A and recorded at 44.1 khz 16 bit stereo on the laptop using Cool Edit, then track the resulting file with a cue sheet and burn to CD using WinCDR. This is as of after Halloween of 2002. Any deviations will be noted, and listed only if I'm certain that my recording's the best available. SHNs - Although I no longer archive SHNs once I've decompressed them and burned the waves, I still have all the ones I have archived. If you absolutely require original SHN files over audio CDs, I can send you the ones I've got. In addition, if you want SHNs from GDLive but don't have a broadband connection I can easily download and send those to you. Alt.binaries.gdead refers to alt.binaries.gdead, alt.binaries.gdead.highspeed or their respective repost newsgroups. |
