This is now officially released as the 2nd disc of the "Eat a Peach (Deluxe Edition)" Do Not Trade, BUY!
A witness comments: "Fillmore East had it's last public Shows 6/26/71 - I was at both of those and officially closed with a private FM broadcast by invitation only show on 6/27/71. The 6/26/71 shows were never recorded... 6/27/71 [is] the only record of the closing of the Fillmore East." Note a bootleg may circulate as 7/26/71 but is mislabeled. |

Blues Power, Have You Ever Loved a Woman, Nobody Knows When You Are Down and Out are all officially released as part of the double CD release "Live at the Fillmore" (1996). Key To The Highway has been officially released on the Crossroads box-set.
Red Wine may actually be from the First Night:
From "Where's Eric! Magazine":
http://www.whereseric.com/ecfaq/bootlegs/best-clapton-bootlegs-1970.html
"The one misnomer is the ‘other’ version of “Bottle of Red Wine”, which on listening you find is the same version on both nights. One possible explanation is that in fact it wasn’t performed on the second night, with Marc Roberty’s book, The Complete Recording Sessions, listing it erroneously." |

Both sets acoustic
It's doubtful the music on these tapes is from Golden Hall in San Diego. There is no evidence that this show took place. The tape of an acoustic show with this date is from an unknown small club show, possibly a July show at the Matrix or Lion’s Share, not from San Diego. See http://deadessays.blogspot.com/2011/03/hartbeats-july-1970.html for more information. |

Billed as "Formerly The Warlocks" after the Grateful Dead were banned from playing at Hampton Coliseum after several fan incidents during the March 1988 shows. To maintain a low profile, Hampton was not included as part of the regular ticket sales for the East Coast fall tour. Tickets went onsale at local outlets only 10 days prior to the shows. The Marquee for the shows read The Warlocks. The Grateful Dead did not perform at Hampton again until March 5, 1992.

Frequently listed as Jimi's apartment, various dates in 1968. All previous entries have been merged into this one.
This cd was an official CD that was only available if you purchased the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend Of Jimi Hendrix". The book clearly states that these recordings were recorded in NYC around April of 1968; another session book pegs this date as April 12th.
The book was published by Penguin Books in the USA, England, Canada and New Zealand and was first published in 1995 but I think it's no longer in print. The book is more like a hard-bound comic book and If anyone wants to try tracking it down, the ISBN# is 0-670-86789-6. |

Personnel includes SW, CW, JC, and Rick Grech. This show is most notable for the inclusion of Rick Grech to the group near the latter part of their '70 tour. Along with playing bass, he also lends a hand with lead guitar. |

New York:
5/21/97
Club Toast in Burlington, NY,
the one-time side project New York debuted, featuring
Trey (guitar, vocals) and Mike (bass, vocals) of
Phish; James Harvey (drums, keyboards, trombone,
vocals) of the Cosmic Krewe (?); and Paul "Pistol
Stamen" Jaffee (guitar, vocals) and Tom "Tommy Law"
Lawson (keyboards, guitar, drums, vocals) of the
Pants. The setlist:
(Never, Headache, Porky's Dad, Dirt, Big Bird, Only
Shallow, Noise of Carpet, Not the One, Saw it Again,
Melody, Stand, Izabella!, 2000; Enc: Hello Violence,
New York Groove, closing Jam with Page McConnell)
debuted a few new Phish tunes that Phish hadn't
played ("Dirt" and "Saw it Again", plus the Hendrix
cover "Izabella") plus some Pants songs, and covers of
Frank Black, My Bloody Valentine, Stereo Lab, Sly and
the Family Stone, and some local bands. The full
setlist was as follows: Never too late to Spend (Pants
song), Headache, Porky's dad, Dirt (new for this gig;
Phish has played it since), Big Bird (Pants), Only
Shallow (My Bloody Valentine), Noise of Carpet, Not
the One, I Saw it again (new Trey tune; now played by
Phish), Melody, Stand (with horn), Izabella (Hendrix
original, with Page; now played by Phish), Hello
Violence, 2000 (Mike and Pants Keys player on vox; not
"2001"); Encores: ?, ?, New York Groove (Kiss), and
impromptu blues jam (with Page). Pete Gershon
noted, "Tom Cleary is the brother
of former Pants drummer Neil Cleary. Tom Cleary does
play keyboards in a local jazz trio called the Genius
Magnets, but he's never been a member of the Pants.")
The Pants covered "Golgi Appartus" on the Burlington
Does Burlington release. |
