Ok per some requests here is the Late show. Just a little history on this one I got a CDR copy of the master reel from a reliable source in London who I've worked many trades with and got a ton of material that now is in fairly wide circualtion. I got this back in 97. This was one part of many early floyd shows that I was able to track down a master source for. In 97 I obtained most of the material and spent 2+ years remastering all of it using about 12 different software programs and doing a lot of neat little tricks. The gist of most of what I did was noise reduction, very carefully I might add using 3 or 4 different programs, then I used 2 programs to re-create a legit natural stereo image from these mono recordings then 2 more programs to rebuild the highs and flush everything to give the listener a very natural stereo sounding recording that brought back a musicality to these low-fi audience taped shows.
What is left is a fairly nice sounding 68 show with zero background noise a very natural stereo image. There may be a few glitches here and there but nothing major and these remasters do sound much better than the original Master Reels. |

Seeder's Notes: T. Palmer filmed 3 takes of "Controls" for his "All My Loving" series.
- Exact date is not known, October 1968 is very likely, but unconfirmed
- Exact location is not known: definitely not the tabernacle, more likely a water sewage place in eastern London torn down since.
This torrent contains 3 untouched "rushes" that were on the reels
plus one version that was edited together from the 3. The other files
are necessary to give your dvd a simple menu. |

Royal Festival Hall - London,
UK |
A gift to the DaD community from Harvested Records : )
This is about 20 mins of b/w footage shot at the Royal Festival Hall by Anthony Stern (it sez so right there on the opening slate). It seems that Stern was called earlier that day by the band to shoot this amazing and unique performance. Unfortunately, he didn't go through all the proper channels, and only got permission from the RFH to shoot the rehearsals and only in certain areas of the venue. This becomes apparent when the venue's security "busts" him and orders him to turn over all of his equipment. This all takes place while the camera is still rolling, but with audio only! You can hear the escalating dialogue between Anthony and security/management as he pleads his case. Too bad he didn't go through the proper channels and pay for the rights to film the actual show, as he was evidently prepared to do, but at least we have this incredible rehearsal footage to marvel at. That's the story I heard and this is how I pieced this thing together. Maybe a phone call to Mr. Stern would clear things up. I'll get back with an update if he does. There is also current speculation that the actual performance was filmed as well (quoted recently by Roger Waters).
A BIG thanks to Simon, who turned this footage over to me recently. It seems that the last bit (Rick playing the final part of ASoS of the huge house pipe organ) was outta synch, but I was able to fix that
properly. Other songs include Biding My Time (with Rick briefly on trombone), Green is the Color, Cymbaline, and ASoS... all incomplete but still wonderful to watch!
