The Digital Dan:

Kind of strange, this ends up being the first DR release from this tour. It was decided to wait and go through multiple sources before working on one. That was a good idea because this show is not only great sounding, but it is a spirited homecoming for the band. Given everything they'd been through in the 5 years since the previous appearance in Toronto, the anticipation and excitement is quite evident, and I'm not talking about the crowd either. Two sources were used for this production, both are minidisc masters and excellent recordings on their own. But the matrix of the two brings out a depth and character that no single source could bring out. With a little more definition in the bass, this could almost be perfect audience recording. Matrix recordings have one other unique benefit, they reduce the noise of the surrounding crowd. There are virtually no interruptions by the audience because the volume of the crowd is reduced by 50%! The mix is fantastic and each person sounds well represented. Once again the highlights of the show are "The Rhythm Method" Alex's "Dream Sequence" which has the band and the audience in stitches. Once again, many thanks to Barb, Mark, and Paul for the sources so kindly donated for this release. They do the hard work so that we can all enjoy the show. As with all Digital Reproductions release, this is for free trade or blank media trade only. Do not buy, sell or distribute for profit. Help keep the spirit of trading alive and well.
