Notes sbd warner - [2006-02-15] Some crackle and fuzz in BTW, and most other songs in set 1 at least, A bit of notable hiss too, though not variable so you get used to it. The fuzz sounds to me like overload distortion. The set 2 jam segment, He's Gone-> Truckin'-> The Other One > Brokedown is very good. On my must hear list. The Truckin' is in the E72 vein, bute this TOO is about 20 minutes of jazzy and smooth flowing jamming without getting into one of the far out and atonal meltdowns that is common for TOO. I also hear what I believe would be the bass riff for King Solomon's Marbles quoted here a few trime by Lesh, specifcally around 11:30 of d3t2. The Brokedown is also a great way to re-enter normal space after the places visited in TOO. I alos noticed on either Garcia or Keith a very nice "drippy, under-watery" sound that I really like from this era. Can't praise this segment enough IMO.
