Notes sbd [2006-08-20] Sound mix has Phil and Keith high, Jerry low IMO. Though it sounds rich having Jerry low is not a good thing. Looks better on paper than it comes across. HCS leads off, and ends with C>R, PITB and lots of the usual suspects in between played in the usual way. Highlight is a nice PITB with somewhat offbeat improv section where the guitar effects sound different than usual. The set 2 looks like a monster on paper with DS -> MLBJ->DS->Stella ->EOTW-> WRS-> LIT but the performance dragged and had little engagement. DS and the MLBJ were less than average for this year. WRS>LIG didn't change my opinion of this song - sounds too contrived and pompus. So this one you can skip and not be missing much IMO.
