Overall, they were pretty still. I had my mics clipped to my backpack with a blanket around the sides to act as a baffle - I left it there all night and didn't move it. Notes about recording and show: A very good S&A show. The band seemed to be really enjoying themselves. The same setlist as all other shows. My wife commented that she didn't think Geddy sounded as good vocally as the previous two tours. While I didn't think he sounded bad, to my ears, he sounded the best he has in years on the R30 tour. The recording is very good, albeit a tad hot because of the level of bass in the venue was crazy loud where we were sitting and the fact that I forgot to turn the bass filter on. I very carefully EQ'ed out the boomy low end in post. The high level of bass had caused a small amount of distortion which became apparent when I EQ'ed it. All of the instruments have really good separation and Geddy's voice is nice and clear. Because I was so close to the reserved seats, this recording comes from the stage stacks vs. the lawn stacks. There was a typical idiot drunk to my right, who decided to talk to his son quite a bit during the show. Luckily, the blanket 'baffle' helped to keep much, if not most, of this chatter from getting picked up on the recording. A funny note - Neil was doing one of his long stick twirls before the second chorus of 'Far Cry' and dropped it right before the chorus kicks in with the explosion. Hence the single-handed quarter/eigth notes hits at that spot instead of a roll - This is where the title comes from ;) Lineage: Church Audio Cards>CA STC-9000 Pre-Amp>Edirol R-09 at 24/48>Sony Vegas>CD>EAC>FLAC Frontend (Level 8)>DIME DISC ONE: 1.
