Notes:

This performance is probably the most bootlegged in Gentle
Giant history. Naturally, I'm hoping that this new version
adds enough to warrant yet another version.

First of all, this version is not derived from any other
bootleg: there is no vinyl in the lineage of this recording.
It's only a couple of (well-preserved) analog generations
removed from the original FM broadcast. The sound is pretty
good, in my humble opinion.

Secondly, I haven't heard every version of "Playing the Foole," but
most of them seem to lack "Cogs In Cogs." It appears here, but
it fades in, and I'm not sure how much (if any) is missing.

Also, Gentle Giant's original station ID for KMET is included
here! I've never heard this elsewhere, and it is an absolute
must for Giant fans (even if it is only 14 or so seconds).

One minor flaw is that Mister Class And Quality? ends with a
bit of a whimper. I think that one of KMET's boss jocks
jumped in with some inane prattle right on the end of the song,
and it was difficult to get a clean ending on tape. Other
bootleg versions of "Playing The Foole" have a bit cleaner
ending.

I obtained some information on the performance from Jack Skelly's
superb "Gentle Giant Tour History" page. It's great! Check it out at:
