J-Card Comment A decent audience recording. The crowd, as is usual for the Detroit area, are
rather rowdy at times, which seems to motivate Roger to perform a better-than average show.
He very obviously enjoyed himself this evening.

The first track is abbreviated due to the taper starting late. His remarks indicate that he
might have thought a warm-up act would precede Roger.

The band is slightly distant, but you can hear every word Roger sings. The opening verse of
'Mother' is missing. There are very small DAE problems on tracks 1-5 of disc 2 which cannot be
corrected, but are almost unnoticeable. There is also a small break at 1:33 during 'Four Minutes'
that might be a tape flip. Another taper-induced break is at 3:25 into 'The Tide Is Turning'.

'Brain Damage' is a killer version, which alone makes this recording worth acquiring.

Bonus: The 21 September, 1987 Los Angeles Rockline interview in L.A. This is an incredible
interview, with Roger discussing how much his tour costs, the fact that he had to cancel his
Japan and Australia dates due to poor ticket sales, his disappointment in the movie 'The Wall',
his KAOS videos, an attempt to make 'The Pros And Cons Of Hitchiking' into a television movie,
Syd Barrett, etc. He also explains the problem with the live filming of "The Wall'
performances, and indicates that it may be released sometime in the future. If that were only so!

An interesting vignette: Roger offered his "services" when he first heard about Live Aid, but his
services were "not required, as it turned out." He also responds to a question about the new Pink Floyd
album: "It's a fair forgery."
