J-Card Comment This will go down as the infamous MBV show where after having not played L.A. in 4 or so years, they finally make it back down to headline the FYF Fest (which had gone after them for years) only to literally destory the shitty PA system the festival had in place. The sound started fucking up right at the beginning of "Only Shallow" and into "Who Sees You", at which point the decision was made to take a "5 minute break" to fix the issue. Of course how do you fix a melted/destory PA system? Well you don't and this was obvious, for when the band finally returned and started playing again, while there was sound, it was never quite the same (not as loud, lost vocals and guitars, etc). Honestly, after the long wait after Coachella 2009, to have the set turn out like this, it really sucks...but there are worst things in this world happening, so all in all, it was still quite the experience. Hearing "Soon" and the entire "You Made Me Realise" + noise holocaust was so loud and shocking, even with shitty sound...I can only imagine what it could have been like at full power.
