DISCLAIMER:

this is NOT a normal blu-ray-resolution disc as people would expect reading out of the title.
this is a normal dvd resolution-set (720x576 / 720x480) being put on a single layer blu-ray but with higher video bitrates than
dvd standards do allow.
there is no need for any up-or downconverting when working with vhs capturing through DV format allready working in DVD resolution!
this project has been in the works for many months and at points it seemed we couldn't finalize it! but we did!!
the main idea has been:

fitting the whole ~150min show from the best quality sources available on one single layer disc with high video bitrates and LPCM sound!

thanks to Blu-ray technology we're now able to do this!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
credits first:
- illusion GN'R camp!
- the Show VHS provided by the brother from "JARL", thanks to his family for borrowing the best quality video source we've seen
circulating so far!!! the colors are just amazing!
- all other VHS tapes are coming from the "LIMULUS"-collection. he also did all the transfers, editing and encoding!
- all final Blu-Ray authoring done by the one and only "GNROSAS"!!

2 requests:
- NOT to be sold!
- ANY nice upgrades and uncirculating quality "Guns N' Roses"-sources!

Audio (LPCM):
#beginning before the intro: dutch PAL VHS Master (mono) [Jarl's brother]

#main parts: TV ("Premiere" June 06, 1992) -> unknown vcr -> german PPV PAL VHS Master (TDK HIFI (Extra High Grade) 180 [SP Modus] [Limulus])

+
#circulating stereo 2DVD-R (JM78) AC3 -> WAV -> dED
[Bad Obsession; DTJ (3/4), Train Kept A Rollin', Outro (last part)]

basically there has never been a complete perfect stereo source circulating from this show.
this stereo VHS source has the best sound overall but also suffers from lots of trouble, the main trouble parts have been edited out by
using the other 2 stereo sources (though the Westwood One being some weak quality, the other one being some lossy).
however the final audio is nice stereo in general but still has lots of small trouble.

High-tech notes:

A) Is your PC ready for Blu-ray discs?
- Update/install the latest video drivers, get them here:
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- Anything else needs update/upgrade?
Check with free software "Blu-ray Adviser", get it here:
http://www.cyberlink.com/prog/bd-support/diagnosis.do

B) Watching this show from hard drive folder:
There are only a few software players around able to play blu-ray content, the more or the less:
Cyberlink PowerDVD v7.3 Ultra (plays blu-ray content from hard drive folders)
Cyberlink PowerDVD v8 or V9 Ultra (doesn't support blu-ray content on hard drive folders anymore, "This feature has been removed from the
new version due to some security policies of the organization which set standards for BD DVD's" - Cyberlink Customer Support)
Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre
Corel WinDVD v8 / v9
Don't be surprised if the menu doesn't work or audio is mute. On many systems software players don't properly access blu-ray content
stored on hard drive folders. Don't panic, here is a workaround:

C) Workaround if your player software can't access hard drive folders:
Run ImgBurn v2.4.2 (it's free, get it here:http://www.imgburn.com/)
Choose "Create image file from files/folders", choose the "BDMV" folder as your source, destination will be an ISO file .
ImgBurn will set the proper file system (UDF) and revision (2.5)
ImgBurn will then create an ISO image form all 69 files in 15 folders
(exactly 69 files, 15 folders! If you got more or less folders/files, your source folder starting point is wrong!)
Mount the ISO image with "DaemonTools Pro"
(20days fully functional free trial version available here:
http://www.disc-soft.com/download/dtproStd/eval)
You can then watch with a BD player mentioned above.

D) If you have a blue-ray burner:
This torrent can be burned by using a Blu-ray ISO supporting software, like
freeware ImgBurn v2.4.2.0
(get it here: http://www.imgburn.com/)
or
"Power2go 6"
(get a fully functional free 30 days trial version here:
http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/downl..._24_en_US.html)
or
NERO v8 / v9

E) Be sure that your program produces a blu-ray video and not a blu-ray data disc. It's strongly adviced to burn the ISO image
created by Imgburn to get a proper blu-ray video disc.
For NERO: NERO Burning ROM -> Recorder -> Burn Image
For Power2go: Power2go -> Copy Disc -> Burn Disc Image
To produce a good burn result
- you have to reduce write speed to the minimum
- you have to activate your software's "defect management".
for NERO: NERO Burning ROM -> Recorder -> Select Recorder -> Options -> Defect Management
for Power2go: Burning -> Burn Disc Image -> Enable defect management]
You can then watch this disc in your blu-ray drive or your Sony Playstation 3
At present moment BD technology in not widespread among traders, but the torrent could be stored and then burned at a later day.

please note that the frame rates (25fps and 29.9fps) might not be compatible with Blu-ray specification and may cause problems
for some BD players which strictly follow BR format. add that non european blu-ray-players like (Ntsc) PS3 might also be unable to playback
this disc for now.
