Being that this was webcast VIA Real Player, I think it's pretty much given that this is a lossy source. However, it is the only Amon Tobin boot I've been able to get my hands on to date, so I won't be complaining. It did begin life as a Matrix SBD, and still sounds great. |

I couldn't find anything in the etree database that had the COMPLETE Smile album sessions, which is what this is. In the meantime while my submission is added, I'm using this as a placeholder. The copy I have is the COMPLETE, two disc set (disc one has 25 tracks, disc two has 14), NOT what this extended for this entry says. GREAT Stuff here, folks, especially if you are interested in hearing what would have happened post "Pet Sounds", had the crazies not taken it's toll on certain band members. |

Other notable highlights were "Night Moves" (everyone in the crowd knew this song and immediately started singing along) "Crazy for You" (I was surprised that it would sound so good in a acoustic rock setting), "Friday Im in Love" (Immy said Adam was gay because he liked this song), Barely Out Of Tuesday (which is going on Gibbs solo album he just recorded), Friend of the Devil (great singalong song), Good Time (fantastic acoustic), Oh Susannah (Adams voice, lots of clapping and Adam stomping)...and great alt lyrics from Sullivan Street. |

Dave Matthews Solo at the Blue Room Jazz Club, Las Vegas. Station Call letters edited out at approx. 3:55 on track 2 and at the beginning of track 5
- Source disc takes a commercial break after Bartender and at approx 5:09 on track 07. Thus the audio doesn't flow perfectly at these points. About 1 minute of the Q&A was edited off the disc I recieved compared to what was played on the Star98.7 KYSR LA webcast after the Staples show 05-15-2002. |

A classic boot here, but this version is a bit of an upgrade. The audience clapping has been toned down a bit, it was a bit too "hot" in previous versions. A GREAT set here. |

Due to lack of an info.txt, details are short. For the 1st time in Stereo !
The Newport Pop Festival
There's a mono SBD mixdown available and a filmsoundtrack that are both incomplete. I've tried to make a Newport Merge using whats available. This results in a 92 minute piece that has about 20 minutes of actual Merge ; i.e. Stereo. Track 4 exists only as SBD and is included for completeness-sake.

A really nice compilation of some of some home recordings and studio outtakes.
From db.etree.org entry:
""Time Has Told Me" is an incredible 3LP vinyl only set featuring a total of 44 unreleased tracks ! All songs are transferred from original copies of Drake's home tapes, expertly EQ'd and mastered using noise reduction and
speed correction.
It has stuff not on other boots. Apparently Scott has had a change of heart and decided to release some stuff he got from the Drakes - at least that's what it sounds like is on here.
"
From info.txt:
CD1
Tracks 1-22: Recorded at The Music Room, Far Leys, Tanworth In Arden, between 1967/1968
CD2
Track 1-4: Island demos. Rejected arrangements, engineered by John Wood. Recorded at Sound Techniques, Chelsea, London, between July 1968 - December 1968.
Tracks 5-10: Recorded by Brian Wells, Hampstead, London, 1969.
Tracks 11-19:Work Tape, probably recorded between 1968/1969. Chaotic section of the home tapes.
Tracks 20-22: Engineered by John Wood at Sound Techniques, Chelsea, London. February 1974 or July 1974 |

Note that this recording has been TISDU'd (that is, the right channel had 5/100ths of a second of silence added to the beginning, giving this mono recording a faux stereo feel) |

From info.txt: This is a very nice soundboard from the later part of Paul Simon's
"The Rhythm of the Saints" tour. Excellent setlist, professionally mixed recording.
This has been one of my favorites for years, and I recently realized that the DAT I had
traded for has diginoise. I traded for a CDR copy (I think from a CD boot) -- which has
diginoise in two *different* places than on my DAT. These tracks are spliced in here
from my DAT; I couldn't hear any difference in terms of sound quality, and I adjusted the
levels to make the transition seamless.
The original master tape has a small cut in the 2nd "You Can Call Me Al" -- roughly 6
minutes into d2 t2. (This is present on both sources I have.) |

From the info.txt: Soundboard, vocals run a little hot but still great sound and a very solid set, better diction than usual. A solo version of This Mess We're In is a definate treat, not an often played song. There seems to be a distortion electric organ or something in Somebody's Down Somebody's Name which is interesting. :) Originally compressed to 224kbps or whatever BBC Radio6 sends at. If an internet setlist I googled up is correct this airing left out A Place Called Home which was supposed to be come after Good Fortune. |

1-4 Five to Ten - BBC Radio
recorded 27 January 1965
5-10 Wednesday Morning 3am - BBC Radio
recorded July 1965
11-14 BBC live - details unknown
15-20 Free Trade Hall, Manchester - 20 March, 1967
21-23 Royal Albert Hall, London - April 1970
24-27 Demo session - details unknown
Quality ranges from SBD to just fair. The Wednesday Morning session appears from an AM Source on a number of other releases (Far East Reunion, Village Vanguard) but this is the only version which blends that with various FM rebroadcasts. So you won't find this better quality elsewhere.
The Manchester show is the worst sounding here - my guess is that it was recorded by putting a microphone up to an AM radio speaker(!).
Anyway, S&G bootlegs being the rare, eclectic beasts they are, this CD tidys up a number of disparate recordings into one coherent package. Enjoy! |

There are two versions of this show. This is the television version of the show, which has much of the stage banter, Still Remains, Wicked Garden, Creep, and Atlanta removed. But it is also the best sounding version available (and it fits onto one CD, woohoo). This show eminates from the House Of Blues on the Sunset Strip - STP's first proper show since the spring of '97 (and Scott's incarceration). This show is sourced from a DirecTV special, a webcast version of this show also exists. Sex & Violence was played live for the first time at this show. |

This was recorded as the second benefit for Don Hyde. An excellent audience recording. The crowd noise between tracks is very loud and can be tough to listen to at certain points, but they are mostly respectful and quite during the actual music. The music is right up front, and I presume that the taper was sitting very close to the front. There is some clipping at times when the music is loud and the crowd is also cheering, but during much of the musical portion of the show, the sound is well mixed, up front, and crisp. A few flaws here and there but otherwise a great boot! |
