Authored with DvdMaestro, Encoder did a great job of synching them together, thus making for a nice dvd. | | | 09/11/98 | Madison Square Garden New York, NY | 2 DVDR | | A+ | A+ | | The "Breath" campaign. Very steady shot, but extreme closeups are pixelated due to a lens extender and digital zoom. 5.1 audio.. | | | 04/13/03 | St. Pete Times Forum Tampa, FL | 2 DVDR | | A | A | | *This was received as a 2DVD set, with the default Standalone DVD Recorder Menus, poorly synched audio, and no
chapter marks. The two cameras were mixed (probably from the master DV tapes), and recorded onto DVD. The
quality is very good, but the mix effects are overdone, and it was probably not a digital mix. The first disc
was recorded at 4000kbit VBR, and the second at 8000kbit VBR. The audio on the original discs was soundboard,
but with many cuts/pauses, where someone was trying to align it with the video.
+To restore this show, the pieces of each disc were put back together, a graphic menu was added, as well as
chapters and song selection. The audio was extracted from the Official silver CD bootleg, digitally resampled
to 48KHz, and synchronized to the video. | | | 04/29/03 | Pepsi Arena Albany, NY | 2 DVDR | | A | A++ | | 5.1 audio.. | | | 04/30/03 | Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NY | 1 DVDR | | A | A++ | | The first two songs (Long Road and RVM) are completely missing. Half of animal is cut, as are the first halves of Daughter and Crazy Mary. There are some brief dropouts in the rear channel during Present Tense.
The exact source info is not known, but the quality is very good, and the picture is very clear, so I believe this is from a DV Master or DV Clone.
The video was not re-encoded from the standalone. 5.1 audio. | | | 06/05/03 | Sports Arena San Diego, CA | 2 DVDR | | A++ | A++ | | Authored using DVDMaestro, with menus, chapters, audio and song selection, motion
transitions, DVD-Text, and Jacket Pictures. 5.1 sound..
Video patched with JVC GR-DVP3E MiniDV (Handheld, PAL)*
Conversion details have been abridged. *The PAL source was handheld and obstructed.
Arc is a mix of the two video sources, and there are two other short patches to this
source. 99% of this video is from the tripod-shot tape.
The audio during Arc is from the MiniDV sources, as it was not included on the bootleg.
As always, this is a fan project and for free trade only.. | | | 06/18/03 | United Center Chicago, IL | 2 DVDR | | A+ | A+ | | Shot from high up, on stone's side. Good clear video. Arc, absent from the official bootleg, is solely from the dsm6 source. A little shaky and out of focus at times, but a nice show, with great 5.1 surround sound.. | | | 07/09/03 | Madison Square Garden New York, NY | 2 DVDR | | A+ | A++ | | The taper didn't settle in until partway through Save You, so Crazy Mary is missing. There are a couple of audio
dropouts in the rear channels that were present on that original audio.
This set features both uncompressed PCM soundboard audio, as well as Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The surround
mix of this captures the incredible crowds at these MSG shows.
The +/ indicates that the first source (Official Bootleg) was used for the stereo soundtrack, and the video's
audio was mixed in for the 5.1 soundtrack.
| | | 07/19/03 | Palacio de los Deportes Mexico City, Mexico | 2 DVDR | | A++ | A+ | | Assembled from the best available video recording. This was broadcast live, with the sound out of sync. Plus, the best recording had cuts between every song. This DVD is the product of hours of reassembling the video to match the soundboard audio, as well as filling in the holes with a source recorded on VHS tape.
Wash, the first 25 seconds of DTE, and all of the cuts between songs have been patched with a VHS copy. The rest of the show is much higher quality, and comparable to the clip of Hunger Strike, found on the recent Live at the Garden release.
MFC was not broadcast. There are cuts in Daughter and the first few seconds of Jeremy are missing. Otherwise complete and Proshot. | | | 10/22/03 | Benaroya Hall Seattle, WA | 2 DVDR | | A | A++ | | Pearl Jam
