notes:

While this entire AUD has circulated for some time (AudMC>R>D>CD;
AudMC>R>R>D>CD; AudMC>?>R>D>CD), recently a reel copy of the master
belonging to Bill Degen turned up that provided a significant
upgrade for most of set one, as well as giving us a few more
passages of in between song audience chatter. Bill had recorded
the reel himself off of Andy Nourse's master cassettes in the mid
1970's. While doing the set one upgrade, a DAT (AudMC>R>DAT@48k)
was also found that proved to be nearly on par with the new reel,
and provided the rest of the show up to WRSP. This DAT copy was
also a significant upgrade to circulating versions. The final jam
of the show was taken from the best possible currently circulating
copy, and was given slight EQ enhancement to improve fidelity.
Below is a breakdown of what came from where:

Set One: all of this less Cumberland, Wave That Flag, Around And
Around, and You Ain't Woman Enough come from the Bill Degen reel.
Transferred in July/August 2001 by Noah Weiner (noahbw@attbi.com).

Reel playback on Teac A-2300SX > Fostex D5 DAT (A>D only) >
Turtle Beach Montego II Digital I/O > Sound Forge (wav edits
and track IDs) > SHNTOOL (SBE fix) > MKW (shn)

Set Two-a: through the end of discs two (including those four songs
not on the reel) comes from the DAT upgrade (MC>R>DAT@48k>WAV>
resample to 44.1k in Soundforge>SHN). All of set two is mono
(this is true of all on all copies gathered for this project).

Set Two-end: from WRSP through the end of the show comes from the
circulating MC>R>D>CD version. This was given slight boost in the
high and low end via Soundforge Parametric EQ to improve
compatibility with the rest of the show.

All tracks were checked and verified with SHNTOOL.
