 Source/Notes:

the jgb set followed an opening set by edward winter and leon
russell. the jgb set was taped using nak cp701 cardioid capsules into a
custom preamp into a dbx noise reduction box onto a sony tcd5m cassette
recorder. one mic was placed in front of the left pa and one mic was
placed in front of the right pa, both mics being about 20 feet back from
the pa speakers. a large number of people worked together in this project
and their participation is acknowledged. the recording would not have
 been made without their efforts.

the resultant cds (2 for red book and one .shn) sound very good. there
may be a shoeppes pcm tape made at the show. it is unknown which
recording sounds better, although it is probable that the nak 700 tape is
 a closer sounding recording.

the master tape was processed using a slight amount of sound forge n.r.
and then decoded through a dbx type II noise reduction unit. the signal
from the dbx noise reduction unit was recorded onto a hard drive. the
resultant .wav file was index marked and the master red book cd can be
burned with the cd architect .cdp files.
