01/25/04 - David Gans
Connecticut Yankee - San Francisco, CA

Recording info (from taper Bob Cogswell):
Stage mic: Crown SASS P Mk 2 stereo condenser PZM (pressure zone
microphone) placed within about 2 ft. of DGs guitar. David was running
DI that night, so most of the room level sound was in the PA. I turned the sensitivity of the SASS up to get the natural sound from the guitar.
House mic: Crown CM-700 cardioid condenser (1). The house at the Ct.
Yankee is mono, so I used the 1 mic and split it in the mixer to each
channel.
Mixer: Shure FP-42.
A to D converter: Apogee MiniMe.
Tape deck: Tascam DA-P1
Transfer: Tascam DA-20>M-Audio24/96>Samplitude7.2(all
edits)>wav>shntool>CDR/MKW.
The Shure is a 4 into 2 channel mixer. Hence, all mixing is done on-
the-fly, take it or leave it when done.
