You might wonder why I would bother to remaster this show since the sound on it is so bad. Well firstly, I like a challenge, secondly I had the time but most of all, it's a great show. This recording had serious deficiencies as can be seen from the original notes below. It is now listenable for most of the show but problems remain.

Purists will probably not like the way that I have re-mastered this but needs must!

ORIGINAL NOTES

This is an audience recording that requires serious efforts to listen to.
Garcia plays pedal steel on Looks Like Rain.
El Paso cut at 0:51
Sugaree cuts off
The Other One cuts off

"last nite at the academy of music ...again we have to be satisfied with a
mediocre aud-rec.. it is very much complete, even up to the painful annoying
moments of tuning before each song...but a few funny remarks by the band are
hidden in these " dead-air-portions" (watch out for phil before Brokedown) the
original taper struggled with levels throu-out the 1st set, resulting in some
overrecorded parts (this is not a transfer mistake) esp when phil hits his bass
this is purely a document, just like reading an newspaper article on the show,
but if you need more flesh to the bone > go for it and don't complain
this copy is 5th gen ..played dolby b on nak cr-7e"
