GRATEFUL DEAD
HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM ? HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA
09/09/72

Lineage: AUD MR> Cassette (unknown gen) > WAV > FLAC
Transfer: NAK DR3 > AUDACITY > CDWAV

No editing was done to the recording except for the tape flip in "Truckin'". All reel pauses have been left intact.

This is a clean sounding low-generation tape and was a rare one back in the tape trading days (remember those?). I decided to transfer it for myself since this recording has not made it into the digital realm. Hopefully the master reel will surface as this is a great audience recording ? especially for 1972.

COMMENT:

What a difference an audience tape can make! This show really comes to life ? listen to the band and the audience interact ? a crucial dynamic missing from the soundboard counterpart.
