After a few moments of waiting, they joined hands with Bob and sang "One Love". Lineup: Dennis Brown, Ras Michael & the Sons of Negus, Big Youth, Peter Tosh, Leroy Smart and Ron Wood |

Blues Power, Have You Ever Loved a Woman, Nobody Knows When You Are Down and Out are all officially released as part of the double CD release "Live at the Fillmore" (1996). Key To The Highway has been officially released on the Crossroads box-set. Red Wine may actually be from the First Night: From "Where's Eric! Magazine": http://www.whereseric.com/ecfaq/bootlegs/best-clapton-bootlegs-1970.html "The one misnomer is the ‘other’ version of “Bottle of Red Wine”, which on listening you find is the same version on both nights. One possible explanation is that in fact it wasn’t performed on the second night, with Marc Roberty’s book, The Complete Recording Sessions, listing it erroneously." |

Other artist(s): GD; NRPS; Southern Comfort first set acoustic "From: David Hollister Subject: A show to be heard Interesting info that makes this show so cool: During the little drumming interlude prior to the Other One, there is some woman you can hear ranting and raving and generally going on about Viet Nam. It would seem the band kind of lets her state her piece in its entirety before going into the Other One. Very cool. The whole second CD is very cool. The jam after the Cryptical reprise is great. It goes into a kind of lulling drum beat which goes on for a few minutes (what I called Drums again, even though it isn't in the official setlist) before Phil takes it up and you hear the definite Main Ten bass line. A great Main Ten jam that goes on for about 4 1/2 minutes or so before Bobby takes it into Sugar Magnolia. First version of Sugar Magnolia. Very cool :) No, it doesn't rock, but up until now, the earliest version I'd ever heard was the one from the famed 6/24/70 Cap Theater show, which I thought was unusual enough to be of historical significance. This one is also interesting historically. Between Top of the World and Casey Jones the band sits around talking to the crowd and deciding what to play next. What kills me is Bobby's comment: "Hey, there's a guy over there, he's always over there and he always yells out 'Golden Road!'. I wanna know who he is, because man, you really take the cake. To tell you the truth we've forgotten how to play that song" or something like that. You can also hear several suggestions for songs, among them "White Rabbit", which cracks up the crowd. Great stuff. Let's get it out there. The acoustic set is pretty straight-forward, but it's the electric set I think that really shines. The boys just seems to be having a great time the whole show." |

Billed as "Formerly The Warlocks" after the Grateful Dead were banned from playing at Hampton Coliseum after several fan incidents during the March 1988 shows. To maintain a low profile, Hampton was not included as part of the regular ticket sales for the East Coast fall tour. Tickets went onsale at local outlets only 10 days prior to the shows. The Marquee for the shows read The Warlocks. The Grateful Dead did not perform at Hampton again until March 5, 1992. [1] No whistling. [2] All Fall Down signal and heavy metal-style intro. [3] Unfinished. The week-long trend of breaking out songs continued with the show-opening Cities, which was the first since July 5, 1994 (222 shows). Trey teased Under Pressure in DWD. Wolfman’s included a Dave’s Energy Guide tease. Reba did not have the whistling ending. Possum included an All Fall Down signal and a heavy metal-style intro. The jam out of Mike’s featured teases and vocal quotes of The End (The Doors), and Careful with That Axe, Eugene as well as the Jim Morrison poem "Dawn's Highway." The End (The Doors) was subsequently quoted in Lawn Boy and Weekapaug. Weekapaug was unfinished and ended in a Can't You Hear Me Knocking jam. Portions of this show were made available via the Slip, Stitch and Pass release. |

* - Dedicated to Julia Butterfly Hill, with her story told ** - During the part at the end where "posuuuuum" is sung three times, the audience filled in the last two parts. Trey held the last chord much longer than usual. At one point, he let go of the chord, leaned down and picked up his beer for a drink while strumming with the other hand while the audience tried to hold the note. *** - Trey on piano **** - Trey introduces this as his and Tom's "drunken country tune" and hopes that someone in the audience will understand it ^ - instrumental jam stopped and re-started a few times. During the middle of the song, Trey introduces Tony and Russ and then introduces himself as the "Bad Lieutenant" on guitar. He then asked how many people are going to Oswego this summer. After the HUGE response, he says, "It's gonna be cool!" and gave his seal of approval ^^ - Included a digital delay loop as well as Trey on keyboards. Before "Sand," Trey played a "techno rave jam" on the keyboard during which Tony commented that Trey was practicing for his other job as a DJ. ^^^ - With Trey on 2nd drum kit (full size kit, same size as the kit Russ plays, possibly perceived as smaller because its not on a drum riser) |

* Trey on acoustic, full band ** Trey solo acoustic *** Trey bantered alot while he played acoustic with bass and drums. He took alot of time introducing Russ and Tony, talked about how neither will play fills or solos. Whenever a jam gets intense "like AGHHH", they just dig deeper into their groove. They are "the groovinest.... most groovin'... groovinest isn't a word... most groovy, grooviest, that's it" (much applause) then he made each play a "solo" to show that they just play the same rhythm by themselves as when all three play. He went on to say "but seriously, i want to thank all of you for coming, i want you to know that i'll never forget where this energy comes from. i just can't thank you enough for your continued support of these projects." # With Page McConnell playing Trey's keyboard Trey said that he appreciated all those who continue to come out and that he loves each and every one of us. He also said that as long as we keep coming out he will do his best to make sure it never ends... |
