1 SHN 2 Shure SM81s » ART Technologies Tube Preamps Small high-end boost applied, both rolloff filters on the mics were used, and the sound guy at the venue was a little shaky -- hence some of the clipping. Part of it, though, my fault: piano range is so dynamic.

ISC Club

1 SHN Aud>Nero>Cool Edit Pro>mkw>shn seeder's note: This show was a disaster when I received it. The sound was poor, the track splits were seemingly randomly generated and on and on. I copied the show to the hd, retracked with Nero, EQ'd and reduced noise levels with Cool Edit before compressing with mkw. I had to cut out the last song entirely since it abruptly ended smack dab in the middle. In any case, the show sounds very nice now. If anyone has a complete version to share, that would be great.

I actually change MD during track 26 (i thought they'd leave stage for a real encore) so this track is actually edited. it is noticeable just before Frank begins to speak again.

1 FLAC CCM4 > SXM2 > SBM1 > M1+SBD > M1 > CDR (Straight off the editing workstation.) > EAC > FLAC Several problems in the masters caused the need to fake stereo from mono. Minor EQ, Minor Compression. This is the soundtrack for a forth-coming single angle aud DVD.

Bimbo's 365 Club
San Francisco, CA
1 FLAC SBD->SBM1(48K)->M1 TAPER's RECORDING NOTES: Although I had permission to record, the venue refused to allow me to set up a Mic stand (or tripod) and so the audience tape was mostly unusable. Luckily the mix on the board tape was very close to even, and needed only a little EQ to bring up the bass. I also added the tiniest touch or reverb to take the stark edge off and compressed the top 6db of peaks to bring the quiet sections up. I also edited out the first two minutes of the encore where Blake is preparing to play "Ripcord", gets a request to play "Simply Irresistible", tries to talk Jenny into joining in - and mostly fails. This allowed it to fit on one CD.
