12/03/92 Cactus Club, San Jose, CA    The Sharinglungs.com User Ignore the fashion got this cd way back in the day from some ebay/amazon seller. For years, a 128 Kbps rip has been uploaded to deftnoes.com. Finally, he sent the lossless copy to Deftones-argentina (AKA TheNightdiver, Nico, whatever), who remastered it, removing the hiss, correcting the tempo, EQ'zing & some minor fixes. Now It's avaliable for everybody, just enjoy.

08/25/95 Nile Theater, Mesa, AZ    Filmed by Terry When I met Terry He was using one of the 1st Mini DV's a pistol grip style Sony DCRPC1 I think I remember talking with him about past cameras or somehow it came up through conversation that Adam Jones (tool) once had complimented him on his choice of lense after Terry had filmed Tool in 1992. The first camera that introduced professional optics to video camera was the Canon L1 in 1991. I am cautioning a educated guess here but I am 70% sure for this DEFTONES and his many earlier shows he was using Canon L1.  Terry

05/12/96 Salt Air Pavilion, Salt Lake City, UT  VHS(M)>Transfer>Authory>DVD  A pretty cool show. Footage of Chino with his dreadlocks is always nice to watch. Pretty wild performance, the sickest renditions of the songs from "Adrenaline" are usually from that era. A nice Bad Brains cover as well, they covered it quite a few times. Master tape quality. Definitely a gem.

08/10/96 Record X Change, Southgate, MI  PRO cams (SBD plugged) mix > Promo VHS(M) (NTSC) > Standalone > PC > DVDR(0) > VIDEO_TS   are show...transferred by myself a while ago from a promo master VHS I got back in 2007 from a person who was close to the band circa 1996...This video was taped for private broadcast (band+Maverick) and for a possible video official release, like the Cuyahoga falls and Bristow shows from the same tour...I got also a couple of other shows on VHS from that leg, I'll share them also0 It's a pity few people have this DVD, until now, it was traded to 2 people only, but as it happens very often, a "NT" show will be traded anyway to other folks... I've stopped trades since 2008 for this reason. I changed my mind for a lot of Deftones stuff I have and remain uncirculated...and I will share them... But please be patient, my upload limit is around 100 ko/s... So let's share this awesome Deftones vid!!! This is an amazing in-store gig, in stunning quality. There is pre and post footage of the band with fans. Deftones were opening for Pantera and White Zombie this summer, and their performances from this era are for the most killer...period I've included full of caps and VHS scan in the torrent.

12/20/96 Maritime Hall, San Francisco, CA  VID(M) > DVD > TMPGEnc DVD Author > DVD  One of Deftones' most famous recordings, due to its quality and the performance. To this day, it is still one of the cleanest Deftones recordings, especially considering when it was taped. As mentionned before, the show itself is amazing. Nice setlist with a tease of "Fist", the hidden song from "Adrenaline", which is my personal favorite. Some funny moments, especially Chino's crowdsurf during "Minus Blindfold". One of the biggest gems in their whole "liveography". Master tape quality. A must watch.

10/09/97 Astoria, London, UK     I was not gonna put this up but changed my mind after going thru my collection of deftones shows and noticed that many think that this is Amsterdam October 13th but its not. Aired on mtv's "super rock" back in 97 a couple of months before i saw them in Stockholm and the chick (not Vanessa) said that there is a live report from The Deftones on todays show :D And just to make things even more clear, back then there was TMF and VIVA that had all the exclusives on shows in The Netherlands not MTV.// karlstad666

01/20/98 Astoria Theatre, London, England    Again, one of my favorite Deftones shows. Nice list of songs played, including lots of mini-covers and Rickets, which didn't seem to be frequently played back then. Lots of funny moments, Chino with his destroyed t-shirt after Headup, then Chino getting a girl onstage to sing Keep On Loving You to her, stagedives, etc. Also, you can hear his voice was really dusty after the exhausting ATF tour but he still gave an awesome hardcore performance. Great performance from the whole band.

The band is on fire and delivers a very energetic and agressive set...it's definitely one of the best 1998 shows. This, as other shows from this leg (Worcester, NYC, Hollywood) are true musts...Definitely one of the best Deftones tours ever... The setlist is great and camera work is very nice, both angles capture lots of close shots from all members... It has been traded as sourced from masters, it might be true, even if the quality is great, some signs here and here may reveal a possible tape generation...but it's just a supposition, I'll keep the lineage info I got with both angles as I can't confirm it.The picture is overall excellent, but can be a bit dark at times, nothing annoying anyway, as the mix focuses on the best shots ;) I used the HQ OG VOB files and the audio from stage source (best sounding source) to do the mix in Vegas... No cuts, show is complete and perfectly synched. Separate angles were (under) circulating. This version was not shared before If burned, your copy will be DVDR(1) Thanks to you my friend for making it possible, you know who you are! enjoy! Yann, March 2014

11/22/98 The Palladium, Worcester, MA  Sony Hi8 TR-940 (w/ ECM-MS907 external mic)>VHS(M?)>TMPG DVD Author>DVD  This is definitely one of Deftones' best shows. This has to be a highlight of the House of Fur tour and their whole career. The mood is dark and insane, the crowd is totally into it, their performance is sick as fuck. They also open with "Damone", which is my personal favorite "Around the Fur" song. They would use Depeche Mode's "Pimpf" as the intro and that would totally set the dark mood of "Around the Fur". I have no words for this show, you MUST watch it, period. I THINK this is from the master VHS, but anyway the quality is awesome.

Please note that those files of the concert itself are from TV (much music?)not the live streaming. Only the interviews are from the live stream beacuase the sound is so fucked up on the live stream. I guess the original creator of this dvd wanted to have the badass quality focused on the show;) Quality wise the picture and audio are in my opinon very good i think,at least the concert, but the interviews are the way there are am afraid, giving its been 14 years since the broadcast. dont have the original info file left so you just have to take this and dont say that this is a youtube rip cuase its not,if it were i could easaly upload more shows that ive already uploaded ok? so enjoy!! anybody have the Internet house party 2.0? please let me know.

06/17/00 Provinssirock 2000, Seinajoki, Finland  FM broadcast -> Sony Minidisc master -> WAV -> Adobe Audition -> WAV -> FLAC  Excellent audio broadcast! I was at this show and also recorded this to my Minidisc. It was broadcasted in November or December 2000. This is a popular show BUT only as a lossy MP3 version. Here you have it as complete and most importantly lossless FLAC. The band is still a bit loose with the playing. It was still early on the tour I guess. But this show is all about Chino´s interaction with the crowd and several band members vomiting due to horrible hangover or something. The day was really hot and between songs you can hear the finnish word "vettä" shouted repeatedly. The word means water and the security was literally giving water out with buckets and hoses. It was really fucking hot and sweaty. I was right in the front row, middle section. When Damone ended, Chino went near the drums and ran and jumped to the crowd, right next to me. Total fucking chaos and mayhem ensued. He sang whole My Own Summer in the crowd. His bodyguard was holding his legs and telling everybody "get your hands off him" or "fuck off right now" etc. Scary guy, did his job very well. Chino was shaking hands and giving the mic out during the chorus. Remastered to clean the track transitions. Cleaned out any DJ blabber or station jingles. Luckily none of the music or stage banter was ruined by it! Thank you Finnish radio :) Birthdaypony´s remaster, March 2009.

I was using plug-in power and positioned a pretty good distance from the pa's but the bass was just too much for these cheap mics. You'll notice right away the fuzzy low-end throughout the recording but to be honest, this still isn't the worst sounding Deftones audience recording out there. It's been locked up on minidisc for more than 2 years due to the fact that I haven't had anything to play it back on for transfer until now. I drove 2 hours on I-95 to get to this show and was a little let down by their performance. They all seemed pretty effed up. Regardless, here it is, along with the much better recording from the following night in Orlando. Don't trade this around in lossy format or try to sell. Enjoy! -taper, kevdogg   kevdogg

I simply cut the whole show into individual tracks. Combine these together, make your own cue sheet, and you can have a CDR-0. Before splitting, I did some very minor editing in Audacity. The entire show was amplified as loud as possible without clipping. Also, to keep this bootleg “legal” I have not included the introduction song I’m Not in Love by 10CC. Sorry. You’ll have to fix your own flac tags, but here is the setlist…

"Saturday Night Wrist" wasn't out yet. This era is known for Chino's usually weak performances due to tons of things, mainly his noticeable weight gain, drugs, etc. These are still nice recordings and memories. How they fool around in the middle of "7 Words" is hilarious. Master recording quality. Setlist is pretty cool as well, "Rapture" has never been a frequent song, even during the promotion of "Saturday Night Wrist".

The venue is a tennis stadium so the recording had a lot of bass and reverb and there is some brickwalling, but it has been greatly improved with equalization. I'd say that the sound quality is roughly a 7 or 8 out of 10. Stephen gets an A+ for the evening from Chino and says that someone should "throw weed at him." Thanks to def-head for some help with the set list. Listen loud and enjoy!

07/07/06 The Ambassador Theatre, Dublin, Ireland   Core Sound Binaurals > Battery Box w/bass roll off at 120Hz > Sony MZ-RH910 Hi-MD(HiSP)  The Deftones first visit to Ireland in many years, if not there first, and a full house at the Ambassador. Kudos to the 'tones for coming over and turning over such an energetic performance to a supporting crowd. A lot of people were also on there way to the Oxegen festival after this show, which added to the energy. This was the first of two nights here, which were both taped. - Taped from the balcony so a little distant on guitar but clear on vocals. At the start of the recording when I stood up, something came loose. At what I thought was the end of My Own Summer, adjusted the levels and set that right, but missed the end of that song. - This was my first time seeing the 'tones, with my friend who introduced them to me back in school, so subequently we were a bit noisier than I usually am. Pictures are included, and a scan of the setlist. - 7-Birth-Words = 7 Words with Birthmark Venue Notes - the venue is a small 1500 capacity theatre venue.   jadg2

Boosted by 1db. s roll off at 120Hz > Sony MZ-RH910 Hi-MD(HiSP)  The second of two great nights in Dublin by the Deftones. This time the venue was a bit empty, probably due to the Oxegen festival which was also on that day, so that made for an extra intense mosh pit because of the space. A fairly mixed up setlist kept things interesting, with a shorter and looser performance than the night before. Kudos to my friend who was the first person up crowd surfing during the night, right when Chino came down to the front. Listen for the Gorillaz cover during Bored. - Moved back following Elite, and then moved closer to the stacks again later on, so there's a bit of a change in the sound. Venue Notes - the venue is a small 1500 capacity theatre venue.   jadg2

There are some volume changes in the beginning from adjusting the gain trying to make sure it wasn't clipping, but that settles down after the first minute. Position was ~30 feet in front of the stage a little to the left. Please share with other fans, and enjoy.

However, note that a few people have reported various problems playing these BBCi DVDs (a few people in Phillips players), presumeably due to the non-DVD compliant resolution, so I strongly recommend burning to a DVD(-RW/+RW) to test it out.

05/21/10 The Orbit Room, Grand Rapids, MI  Sony TCD-D8 (Line In, 16/44.1) + Sony ECM-717  It was a good show. I got to GR with about 15 minutes to spare. The line to the bathroom was way to long so I had to setup in the crowd. It was a little awkward. I taped about 20 Ft. from the soundboard. Unfortunately, the sound was absolutely HORRID for the show. This is about the best that you could possibly do for this situation. Even though this setup is not the best, the sound was just terrible. Very boomy, the guitar levels would sometimes go up and down, and Chino's vocals were mixed low. I thought maybe it was just my ears, and that the mics would pick up the sound better like they sometimes do. But no, not for this show. Still the energy at this show was amazing! So awesome to see Deftones at such a small venue.  Ryan J. (ryanjonik@sbcglobal.net)

Plan was to meet up and do a multicam of this show. My partner in crime backed out due to a ping pong injury, so I went it solo. Got up to the balcony and pulled everything out of my pockets behind me on the bench seating right as a security guy comes up to tell me that the baloncy is reserved for VIPs. He moves down to tell another group of people the same thing and I quickly throw everything back in my pockets before he swung back by me. So I went and got a front row spot on the rail at the left speaker stack and put in my ear plugs. I slowly worked my way back as the set went on and ended up to the left of the soundboard at the end of the main set. The better of the two times I've seen the Deftones for sure.  geordy

It was a festival show (just like the first one at Nova Rock 2011), but this time they were definitely sticking out a lot on the line up. Here's the line up for you that day: NOFX (Headliner) - old guy punk rock Die Ă„rzte - shitty German punk rock (singing in German) Deftones - defnitely not punk rock New Found Glory - shitty pop punk rock Marky Ramone - real punk rock The Living End - never heard of this band probably punk rock (a look at their wiki article reveals they're a punk rock band) Itchy Poopzkid - German punk rock (mainly singing in English) We Are The Ocean - never heard of this band probably punk rock (a look at their wiki article reveals pop punk as one of their genres) The Smoking Hearts - never heard of this band probably punk rock (first 30 seconds into their video for Destroy! big surprise, another punk rock band on the bill) Ok, now that the obvious is obvious I'd like to say that the crowd was just there to hear the hits (with the exception of a few people right up front maybe). Chino even went as far as lying down flat on his stomach on his ego riser and acting like he's asleep, that's how the crowd was (it almost looked like he was attempting to plank for a second- there's probably no photographic evidence of this because it happened after the third song was over and all the photographers got out of the photo pit, but if you happen to have a photo, speak up!) Anyway other than that their overall sound level was a bit too low for my liking (the recording suffered a bit from that). Also thought that Steven's guitar could've been a bit more prominent in the overall mix, instead when Chino grabbed a guitar during the set (which thankfully only happened maybe 2-3 times- I understand he's mainly the lead singer, but look at cats like Cornell for example- Chino's guitar was louder than Steven's guitar which was quite funny actually) Granted that it could've been a bit louder and probably a lot boomier if I was near the stage (I was standing about 40m/131feet from the stage I guess) so I'm not entirely blaming their sound engineer for that. I thought that some of the songs (mainly on the Koi No Yokan tracks) sounded a bit flat, not as heavy as on record (here's where a good producer & engineer comes in handy I guess). Before and during the first few seconds of Passenger Chino adressed someone on side of the stage "You're still not there sir..." "Do you want a banana?..." etc (stage right- probably a tech- my guess would be his monitor tech) and not the crowd! Another fun fact maybe: They had Engine No. 9 on the setlist but had to skip it because they ran out of time. They also skipped a song at Nova Rock in 2011 (my first Deftones show), because Chino suddenly disappeared from the stage after the fifth song (I guess he had to take a piss or something). The band then went into an impromptu jam btw! Still I enjoyed the concert very much, but wasn't completely satisfied in the end. Also fuck Skalar for booking Deftones on a punk festival! P.S: Abe Cunningham is a beast on drums! Enjoy!  FotherMucker

They go on early (6:30) if anyone is wanting to tape them, and they only play for about 25 minutes. I got to my seat about 10 minutes before Deftones went on. I also picked up some AT831s from Darktrain with a 4.7k mod. I wanted a pair of cards and these certainly do the trick! Great pickup and really concentrates on the forward sound, unlike the DPAs with their omni pattern. Don’t know why I didn’t pick up a pair of these earlier! Great mics. This was the first night of the tour opening for Incubus. A few hiccups with mics dropping out or keyboards not being plugged in by the techs but other than that Deftones brought it! Chino’s voice sounds great! As we all know, by the end of tours his voice is really starting to hurt. Tape sounds great, I was adjusting my mics during the intro so I mainly removed the first 30 or so seconds so you didn’t hear the bumping. Enjoy the tape!   RyanJ
07/25/15 Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati, OH   Zoom H1 - AT831 Cardoid Mics - WAV 48/24 - Tracksplitting & Fading w/ Audacity - AIFF - xACT - FLAC  " I was pretty happy with how it turned out since I have always thought Deftones were here really hard to put to tape, with how much texture and bass they have in their sound, a lot of recordings sound like Chino singing over a wall of bass, so this one isn't too bad. Deftones is the only band I have seen perform at least once after they have put out a record, since 1996 to present. Almost missed them this time, but they decided to come into my territory one more time before their new record came out. Self titled is my favorite record of theirs so I was pretty amazed and happy with the setlist. Needles and Pins and When Girls Telephone Boys especially. Still prefer them in a midsize indoor club to a huge outdoor venue, but luckily they played a full set minus encore, instead of a truncated 45-60 minutes. Didn't stay for Incubus cuz they are not my thing, so the show was over for me at 9 p.m., which was a nice surprise." Note: Thanks for recording and share for hollowmoons! Talked to Sloan Simpson for a bit, he set up a mic stand in the middle of the room, but took off before Isis played. Adam stood at the front right of the room with his mics. This ended up being one of the hottest, most miserable shows I've ever been to, but it was nice to see Isis in such an intimate setting on their 'farewell' tour. I think my mic source turned out surprisingly well despite the location. It helped that a good portion of the sold out crowd took off after The Melvins set. Show was a little over 80 minutes, burn a cd without the encore break (track 09) to get it all on one disc.   geordy

??/??/88 Billy Gould's attic, San Francisco, CA    Recorded on 4-Track in Bill Gould's attic as a demonstration of Mike Patton for Faith No More's management and their record company (Slash). Two copies of this tape exist, dubbed directly from the 4-Track by Bill onto tapes with pre-existing music on them. This copy was sold on eBay in September 2006 after being found in a Hollywood, CA thrift shop in a box of other music industry demo tapes along with a copy of Mr Bungle's 4th demo "OU818" and 4 photos of Mike Patton taken in a Photo Vending Machine. These are rough versions of the songs, most likely played live into the 4-Track. The music and lyrics are early versions and contain many differences from the final recordings. The exact timing of the recording is unknown but FNM's first gig with Patton was in Nov 1988 and so this recording was probably made before that. This is the missing link between Mike Patton in Mr. Bungle and Mike Patton in Faith No More and is a must for all collectors.

For our third straight year, we came, we saw, we listened, and we got really messed up. Oh, we also taped a few things. Decided to get a "taste" of Rage, so about 20 minutes or so before they started, we waded into the ocean of mass humanity that was the RATM crowd. Can't say exactly how many hundreds of feet we ended up away from the right stacks, but the sound quality here is better than you might think. In between songs you can hear some background bass noise from an adjacent dj stage, but it's not overwhelming by any means. Not being an aficionado of Rage, they certainly have a message and it is powerful.....loud, damn loud, and clear. One that I remember from back in '92. Hoping that the full set comes out for the diehards, but for now, here is what I can provide. With headphones, you may hear some interesting side comments from some of the crowd nearby. Overheard after the finish of "Bullet In The Head," "Just victims of the in-house drive-by? Wow.....put up the white flag." All told, another epic experience at Coachella '07. Enjoy.   Zepdog5

04/??/91 72826 Demo, Los Angeles, CA  Cassette-M > Sony TC-WE425 > analog cables > Audiophile 24/96 > WAV > Traders little helper (FLAC > torrent) > YOU  Tool's demo tape. They are studio quality but have a slight tape hiss to the them, which is actually pretty hard to pick out. Interesting if you want to hear the demo's. This was originally only in cassette format & was distributed at gigs. Soon, copies were made & they started spreading out. The demos even ended up on bootlegs like Sleep Forever. Word has it that they last one they gave out to a fan somewhere in the mid-west US during 1992 from the sound engineer or crew. Most copies of the demo tape are from MP3 source, this is not. There is a rumor that Tool did a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train but all that is - a rumor. Or, is it? Do you think there is a tight-sealed secret of an ozzy cover? Hmm. What evidence is there? Well, what about the unreleased Rage Against The Machine w/Tool collaboration entitled "Kill The Revolutionary" that features both bands? It is of rough quality & was a demo for the film Judgment Night but was not used nor did it make it on the soundtrack -- in case you don't know, back in 1992/1993. For those that have heard this; it is a very rough sounding recording. However, there are pristine, clear, beautiful copies of this available. Or is there? As a nod to my own musical interest, I would recommend the 'Judgement Night' soundtrack; it was one of the best. It featured mashups of metal/hip-hop (you can see why RATM/Tool did not make the cut) but it was interesting as it feautred bands like Cypress Hill w/Sonic Youth + Pearl Jam, Helmet w/House Of Pain & other metal/rap acts to collaborate on an album. Movie decent but not as good as soundtrack. Anyway, the songs below are the actual studio demos, nothing 'illicit' or really unreleased. This will hopefully give even the casual Tool fan a good kick in the ass. The intensity, passion & hunger is evident, clear & concise. I could not possibly recommend this any higher than I am at this point. Hope you enjoy it.

It's is the same mix but treated w/ a multiband compressor, eq and limiter. The treatment has brought the bass, guitar and vocal more upfront.

There is no audio and/or video when I play this thing. What do I do? Change the thing you play your videos with. Use either VLC or MPC-HC, they're free and the best. 2. There is no audio and/or video or it doesn't work at all when I burn webcasts to a DVD. What do I do? Use DVD Styler to make DVD-Video discs. It's free, easy to use and supports webcast videos. If you have any more questions or whatnot feel free to message me. I'll add them to this thing and include them in the description of every webcast I upload. These two have been popping up relatively often so far.
