1. Burn DAO (no 2 sec. gaps).
2. No mp3 sourced shows.

This is no longer true, I've moved & do not have my collection with me at this time:

I am always willing to do a B+P. I am not the world's fastest trader, but you will eventually get the shows you are due if you trade with me. The reason for this is that I do not own a CD burner. I have to use the studio at the radio station at which I work or friend's computers to burn CD's. I usually try to trade only in the US(due to postage costs), but I will trade abroad if there is something I can only get through those means, or if you have a real kick-ass international list. If you want a specific brand of CD, ask me before the trade what brand I will use(novel idea, no?). Don't be a whiny bitch about the CDs after I send them.

Quality Grades(subjective):

A+: Perfect recording with no flaws.
A:
Slight flaws or minor tape hiss.
A-: More serious flaws.
B+: Decent recording, listenable, but not much more than that.
B: At the brink of listenability.
B-(or below): Historic value only, only psychotic collectors need apply.

I cannot burn DVDs as of yet.

1. 05/11/68 Fillmore West - San Francisco, CA SBD A+ AZ     Band Line-up: Tony Cavallari: Guitar Vocals Michael Tegza: Percussion, Vocals, Drums George Edwards: Bass, Vocals, 12-string Dave Michaels: Organ, Piano, Harpsichord, Vocals Jerry McGeorge: Bass, Vocals It's really quite extraordinary that these forgotten tapes were found. In the early 90's this goldmine was a fact. One had discovered recordings by the band HP Lovecraft in concert at the Fillmore. And the concert was played when HPL was at their ABSOLUTE strongest. And certainly this is evident from these 8 tracks. Good sound too, Keep in mind that it was some 30 years ago... Opens with "Wayfaring Stranger" (10:23). Again we have the hippie free form psych and now in a LONG groovy jam. Then "The Drifter" hardens the sound into this Garage/Psych live classic - 8:24 cool Psych/Rock/Jam. "Its about time" should be a tough choice to be played live with all its subtle passages and tempo breaks. But everything works just great. And the three-part vocal harmonies flows really fine. Performed next: "The White Ship". What a good performance. The haunting, moody Sound is well created on stage. Michaels Baroque-inspired harpsichord passages stand out. Really subtle here. 5th song: "At the Mountains of madness". Again very well performed, not too off track copied from the album but some very fine instrumental and improvisional moments too. This should have been an experience to have seen/heard. "The Bag I'm In" and "Country Boy and Bleeker street" freight trains all the way into a fine energetic Psych/Rock/jam. Included also is "I've Been Wrong Before" again making a fine contrast to the more fast and rockier songs. My advice? Get this, its a fantastic live testament of a great band. And as already mentioned, the sound is very Good. And the name? Well, it springs from the American Horror/Fiction-writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft(1890-1937). Songs like "At the Mountains of Madness", "The White Ship" and "Keeper of the Keys" shows references to some of Lovecraft's short-stories. 1. 06/28/69 Veterans Memorial Building - Santa Rosa, CA SBD A+       Guitar - Jorma Kaukonen Bass - Jack Casady Drums - Joey Covington same bill as the Grateful Dead Released as Bear's Sonic Journals - "Before We Were Them" This live concert recording features recently discovered and previously unreleased music from Jefferson Airplane's fabled guitar and bass players before they became known as Hot Tuna. Jorma and Jack are joined by Joey Covington on drums, and this intense, hard-driving muscle trio creates a sonic landscape to rival Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. This is essential listening for fans of Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane, with more than 70 minutes of music, including versions of the classic blues songs Rock Me Baby and Come Back Baby, as well as the familiar Airplane tune Star Track. Additionally, the set list includes 4 fully-formed, rare songs that were named by Jorma and Jack for the first time for this release — 49 years after they were played! I am in awe of the unbridled fury of will Jorma and I had to explore and search out our developing musical landscape together. Every day truly was a new adventure for our young hearts. -Jack Casady Live concert recording features recently discovered and previously unreleased music from Jefferson Airplane’s fabled guitar and bass players before they became known as Hot Tuna. Joined by Joey Covington on drums, this intense, hard-driving muscle trio creates a sonic landscape to rival Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Essential listening for fans of Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane, with more than 70 minutes of music, including 4 fully-formed, rare songs that were named by Jorma and Jack for the first time for this release. Liner notes include contributions by both Jorma and Jack, as well as rare and previously unreleased vintage photographs. Freshly restored and mastered from the original tapes captured by legendary Grateful Dead soundman, Owsley Stanley, a/k/a Bear, who is known for the purity of his “Sonic Journal” recordings. These tapes were transferred and restored to the most exacting audiophile standards, utilizing state-of-the-art Plangent Processes techniques to remove subtle timing distortions created by the recording and playback devices. The mastering was done by Jeffrey Norman (Mockingbird Mastering), long-time collaborator with the Grateful Dead and Owsley Stanley. 1 CDR notes

1. 09/01/66 Unknown - San Jose, CA SBD A OH     Quicksilver Messenger Service Live in San Jose - September 1966 (No actual date available) This CD is an Italian Boot, of medium to good quality. The music rocks. It was apparently ripped from vinyl, based on the pops and hiss. The "faboulous line up" (sic) consists (according to the liner): Jim Murray, John Cipollina, Gary Duncan, David Freiberg, and Greg Elmore.PLEASE NOTE-While the first 5 songs are most likely from '66;the last 4 tracks are from the oft bootlegged QMS-6/7/68 Fillmore East set 1 CDR notes

5. 09/14/67 Fillmore West - San Francisco, CA SBD A-     Both sets; Second set not tracked Simon Moulds notes: The date/venue is doubtful as: 1 - the Fillmore West didn't open until late '68. (although there was a Fillmore Auditorium in 1967; the similar names cause confusion) 2 - The original Fillmore doesn't list QMS as playing on this date (see the Fillmore Last Days booklet for every show played at the Fillmore & Fillmore West, also the Artrock book shows the poster for this date with no mention of QMS). If the date is correct, then the venue is likely to be elsewhere. If the venue is correct, then the date is wrong. I'm not complaining, it's a nice recording but I AM curious to know when and where it's really from. Any ideas? Steve Keyser's list show this date as being at Fillmore West but only a 45 minutes recording. It therefore seems unlikely that this show took place at the Fillmore West. Update: It's now confirmed, that this is a bogus date. By reference to Wolfgang's Vault it's now clear that the first set took place on 09/04/66 and the second on 11/20/66 both at the Fillmore Auditorium 1 CDR notes
