1. Burn DAO (no 2 sec. gaps).
2. No mp3 sourced shows.

This is no longer true, I've moved & do not have my collection with me at this time:

I am always willing to do a B+P. I am not the world's fastest trader, but you will eventually get the shows you are due if you trade with me. The reason for this is that I do not own a CD burner. I have to use the studio at the radio station at which I work or friend's computers to burn CD's. I usually try to trade only in the US(due to postage costs), but I will trade abroad if there is something I can only get through those means, or if you have a real kick-ass international list. If you want a specific brand of CD, ask me before the trade what brand I will use(novel idea, no?). Don't be a whiny bitch about the CDs after I send them.

Quality Grades(subjective):

A+: Perfect recording with no flaws.
A:
Slight flaws or minor tape hiss.
A-: More serious flaws.
B+: Decent recording, listenable, but not much more than that.
B: At the brink of listenability.
B-(or below): Historic value only, only psychotic collectors need apply.

I cannot burn DVDs as of yet.

Curtis Mayfield Compilation
  Date Venue - City, State Source Sound Rating Got From: Sent to: My Comments Show Comment Media
1. ??/??/72 various - various, various SBD A- Web     Curtis Mayfield - guitar Master Henry Gibson - bongos & congas Scott Harris - drums Lucky Scott - bass Craig McMullen - guitar. some analog distortion T2 from apprx 1:12 to 1:19 Tracks "Keep on keepin' on" to "Give me your love" included in the Keep on Keepin' on release by Big 'Fro; The Big 'Fro label did a valuable if unauthorized service to soul collectors by making available a good amount of unreleased vintage material by soul stars, an area that has received relatively little attention from bootleggers. This CD compiles live, radio, and television performances as well as a studio outtakes of "Freddie's Dead" and "Eddie You Should Know Better" from 1972, although no details other than year of recording are supplied for those from what was arguably Curtis Mayfield's greatest period of a distinguished career. For all of the tracks hail from 197274, a point at which the Superfly soundtrack had vaulted him to superstardom. The sound is good in fact, sometimes it's release quality, though some of the concert material is a little below that standard and the performances excellent, although they don't hugely deviate from the familiar studio versions. In addition to renditions of a few Superfly highlights ("Pusherman" and two versions apiece of "Superfly," "Freddie's Dead," and "Give Me Your Love"), there are also a few of the better nonSuperfly songs from Mayfield's most socially conscious period, including "Keep on Keepin' On," "We Got to Have Peace," "Stone Junkie," and "We People Who Are Darker Than Blue." If nothing else, it offers further proof of Mayfield's mastery of the soulrock wahwah guitar, as he uses the effects with as much assurance live as he did in the studio. Although 18 tracks are listed, that's a little deceptive; five of the "cuts" are actually excerpts of interviews with Mayfield, from undocumented sources. - Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide 1 CDR notes

1. 05/11/68 Fillmore West - San Francisco, CA SBD A+ AZ     Band Line-up: Tony Cavallari: Guitar Vocals Michael Tegza: Percussion, Vocals, Drums George Edwards: Bass, Vocals, 12-string Dave Michaels: Organ, Piano, Harpsichord, Vocals Jerry McGeorge: Bass, Vocals It's really quite extraordinary that these forgotten tapes were found. In the early 90's this goldmine was a fact. One had discovered recordings by the band HP Lovecraft in concert at the Fillmore. And the concert was played when HPL was at their ABSOLUTE strongest. And certainly this is evident from these 8 tracks. Good sound too, Keep in mind that it was some 30 years ago... Opens with "Wayfaring Stranger" (10:23). Again we have the hippie free form psych and now in a LONG groovy jam. Then "The Drifter" hardens the sound into this Garage/Psych live classic - 8:24 cool Psych/Rock/Jam. "Its about time" should be a tough choice to be played live with all its subtle passages and tempo breaks. But everything works just great. And the three-part vocal harmonies flows really fine. Performed next: "The White Ship". What a good performance. The haunting, moody Sound is well created on stage. Michaels Baroque-inspired harpsichord passages stand out. Really subtle here. 5th song: "At the Mountains of madness". Again very well performed, not too off track copied from the album but some very fine instrumental and improvisional moments too. This should have been an experience to have seen/heard. "The Bag I'm In" and "Country Boy and Bleeker street" freight trains all the way into a fine energetic Psych/Rock/jam. Included also is "I've Been Wrong Before" again making a fine contrast to the more fast and rockier songs. My advice? Get this, its a fantastic live testament of a great band. And as already mentioned, the sound is very Good. And the name? Well, it springs from the American Horror/Fiction-writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft(1890-1937). Songs like "At the Mountains of Madness", "The White Ship" and "Keeper of the Keys" shows references to some of Lovecraft's short-stories. Jorma and Jack are joined by Joey Covington on drums, and this intense, hard-driving muscle trio creates a sonic landscape to rival Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. This is essential listening for fans of Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane, with more than 70 minutes of music, including versions of the classic blues songs Rock Me Baby and Come Back Baby, as well as the familiar Airplane tune Star Track. Additionally, the set list includes 4 fully-formed, rare songs that were named by Jorma and Jack for the first time for this release — 49 years after they were played! I am in awe of the unbridled fury of will Jorma and I had to explore and search out our developing musical landscape together. Every day truly was a new adventure for our young hearts. -Jack Casady Live concert recording features recently discovered and previously unreleased music from Jefferson Airplane’s fabled guitar and bass players before they became known as Hot Tuna. 1. 06/10/75 Bottom Line Club - New York, NY ? B+ FL   Early(1st & 2nd set partial) & late(1st set) Miles Davis (tpt, org); Sam Morrison (ss, ts, fl); Pete Cosey (g, perc); Reggie Lucas (g); Michael Henderson (el-b); Al Foster (d); James Mtume Foreman (cga, perc) Comments from Peter Losin's Miles Ahead: The Davis group was booked for three nights at the Bottom Line, June 10-12, and they apparently played two two-set shows (8:30 and 11:00 pm) each night. The music listed here circulates as from the first concert and the first set from the second concert. But where is the second set from the second show? "Untitled original 750505" was first recorded in the studio on May 5; "Untitled original 741106a" was first recorded in the studio on November 6, 1974. "Untitled original 750505" was a standard set closer during May-July 1975. Davis occasionally plays organ during this tune. During this tune in the second set (at 2:46-2:50), someone in the audience says "Hendrix should get all the recognition for this." Davis suffered from serious health problems (hips, ulcers, drug use) throughout the summer, but the Septet continued to tour: Paul's Mall, Boston (April 28-May 3); Just Jazz, Philadelphia (May 12-17); Bottom Line Club, New York (June 10-12); Avery Fisher Hall, New York (July 1); Central Park, New York (September 5). 1 SHN notes
2. 06/11/75 Bottom Line Club - New York, NY ? B+ FL     Miles Davis - (tpt, org); Sam Morrison (ss, ts, fl); Pete Cosey (g, perc); Reggie Lucas (g); Michael Henderson (el-b); Al Foster (d); James Mtume Foreman (cga, perc) "Willie Nelson" vamp in "Tune in 5." Sometimes mislabelled and misordered as 6/10/75. 1 SHN notes
