For some reason, on analog tapes that were recorded from the master, Blue Water was lost between sides A and B. Some of the copies of this show in circulation were taken from a tape other than the master, so they therefore do not contain this lost track. Compiled by Eric Naylor dmbtrade@hotmail.com 3/15/00

[03:13.41] Total: [42:13.65] Notes: Playing as an opening act for Ben Harper and Innocent Criminals, Jack Johnson followed Lake Trout, and Robert Walter's 20th Congress who played earlier in the day. On the whole an epic day of music, at the historic Greek Theatre - Go Bears! This recording came to me by way of a "friend-of-a-friend" of the band. Before circulating this another fan who knew of its existence asked Jack at a show if it was OK to circulate this recording; the answer was "yes", so here it is. The original recording i received had some problems with the tracking, so I cleaned up those artifacts and retracked the entire show. This is not a "source-level" conversion, but to my knowledge this is the cleanest source currently circulating. There are likely only a few CD generations between the master and this source, and it does not appear to have been previously encoded. There are some mp3 versions of the same source circulating which have the original tracking; some with incorrect dates for the performance. If you want mp3s of this show, look for those; Don't convert this one. DigitalNirvana rates this boot A+/100% (one of the few 100% rated) and says: This is a show that is very common, sounds good enough to be an official release, and should be bought on one title or another by every Nirvana fan. In a recent conversation in the Nirvana Collectors' forum, the sound quality of this disc was determined to be slightly better than that of Roma. For this reason, "XXII II MCMXCIV" receives a grade of 100% while Roma gets 99% (one point subtraction). This is the best disc to get the highest quality complete version of 2-22-94.

12/30/94 Ed Sullivan Theater CDr 3 A/A There is a cut at 45:07 in the first set, however this sounds like a DAT cut or digi dropout, as opposed to an analog tape flip (I left this cut as it existed from the original DAE, rather than editing, because it occurs during a song (Scent of a Mule). Another reason I question the analog generation is because there is zero perceptible analog hiss anywhere in this recording. Also, analog tapes tend to stretch as they are used, and people usually get between 46 and 48 minutes per side of a 90 minute tape. 45:07 is considered an odd place for an analog flip to occur. Also, there is no noticeable cut at around the 90 minute mark in the show (where the next tape flip should occur). As for my skepticism for the SBD/AUD matrix, there are moments when I would swear this source is true, however the noticeable echo and reverb normally associated with audience tapes from indoor arenas (MSG in this case) is quite noticible. If this is not an SBD/Aud Matrix, this source would likely be an FOB, since the audio presence is very "up front." There is a well circulated FOB Schoeps CMC3/mk4 source from 12/29/94. This 12/30/94 source may very well be from the same rig and taper, however this is pure speculation

06/18/75 Boston Garden CDR 3 A t Recorded live at the Boston Gardens in Boston,Mass. on June 18, 1975. This is the best audience recording you will ever hear of Pink Floyd. It is even more remarkable considering when it was recorded. It litterally sounds as if the taper was on the stage. Everything is clear and precise. Unlike other versions of this show, this mix is nowhere near as harsh in the midrange. And, it fits nicely on 2cds. If you like the Shine On Tour, you need this show! Disc 1: 1. The encore of "Close to the Fires" includes "Wasting Away" a very rarely played song. As a Bonus I have included "Never Say Never." "Never Say Never" was recorded 2 days later during the Sound Check for The Ventura Theater show. It is basically the band creating a song on the spot, some of which made it into the song "Anyone But You."
