11/19/66 Fillmore Auditorium CDR 1 This is a liberated bootleg that sounds pretty damn good for how old the show is. According to Deadbase, this is the complete show except for Dancin from the end of the first set.
07/23/67 Straight Theater CDR 1 There are conflicting reports about when this show took place. Some say it was the opening of the Straight Theatre on 7/23/67. Or it might've come from the Portland, Oregon Acid Test that happened around Christmas, 65 or New Year's day 66. Either way, it's a rare glimpse at Neal and the Dead doing what they do best. This link has a complete transcription of the Neal's rap, and includes a very detailed explanation of what Neal's talking about by Ken Babbs. http://www.pugzine.com/arch01.html Basically, this is as good a glimpse as you'll find into the mystery and genius that is Neal Cassady.
10/22/67 Winterland Arena CDR 1 Marijuana Defense Benefit. Cut at the end of Lovelight
02/27/69 Fillmore West CDR 2 Other artist(s): GD; Pentangle; Sir Douglas Quintet. Dark Star > Saint Stephen appear on Live Dead.
03/01/69 Fillmore West CDR 3 Pentangle, Sir Douglas Quintet; *=Jerry on acoustic' **="Hey Jude" is full version; the show was mixed down in 1998 from multi-track by Phil Lesh during the early stages of a vault release project which did not happen
02/11/70 Fillmore East (late show) CDR 2 Both Early and late shows. Early show starts at The Other One. go to www.deadlists.com for more info... Arthur Lee of Love adds percussion to the Dark Star. The third guitarist audible starting about 2:30 into Dark Star and for several minutes thereafter is Peter Green. Duane Allman on slide guitar enters around the middle of Dark Star. Gregg Allman adds organ & vocals during Lovelight, and Barry Oakley plays a second bass on Lovelight. Richard Pipes believes Fleetwood Mac-member Danny Kirwan's guitar is also to be discerned in the background. The encore is acoustic Dead, with only one acoustic guitar.

02/09/73 Roscoe Maples Pavilion, Stanford University CDR 3 COMMENTS FROM DEADLISTS The sound setup at this show was the first version of the Wall of Sound. Sound mixing problems at the board during Promised Land. According to reports from an eyewitness, this was the result of half the speakers frying...Before Sugar Magnolia, Bob says, " This one's our new single, broke big as hell in Pittsburgh...that's the truth, too." The show has the first performances of Loose Lucy, Here Comes Sunshine, They Love Each Other, Eyes Of The World, China Doll and US Blues.
