Notes:
"Wilson's Rig" is is 2 Nak. 300s (CP-2) and 1 Crown PZM's run into a Mackie 1402 mixer and
recorded on a Panasonic SV-3700 pro DAT. I have 2 foam-padded L-shaped metal brackets I
made that can be attached to a pole and I frequently use them instead of a mic stand. I
attached the brackets to pillars on each side of the room, about 40 feet apart and 30'
straight back from the each main stack, and used one cardiod on each side of the room
and one PZM for the middle channel. I put them all about 15 feet up in the air to limit
crowd noise. I found a nice place up on the balcony where there was an AC outlet and ran
all the mic cable up there. I used three 50 foot balanced XLR cables to hook it all up,
and ran the cable in the air so it didn't get walked on.
The show was transfred using EAC from a set of Mster CDs. Wilson has asked that I refer
to his mic setup as "Wilson's Rig". This is becaue it is not a Schopes of Neumann setup
that you normally see. All of the equipment requires AC power but because of his
connections he is able to set the mics up in the best place. Once you hear this show you
will realize just how much more important mic placement is over the mic brand.

This is their final show @ Don's Place in Accra, Ghana, and it features some
rarely performed songs, including The World Is A Ghetto(indeed), & I Got My
Mojo Workin and Hit The Road w/ Rama Brew on vocals who I'm assuming is a
local African woman. This is the only show from Africa I have heard(insert
request to Greenberger and Costello for some more) and it's well worth
having in your growing collection.

NOTE: This is an excellent soundboard recording of the PopMart concert in
Mannheim, Germany. Somebody has been sitting on it forever, because it just
surfaced at the beginning of June. Vocals and instruments are both perfectly
clear in this recording. You can hear Bono talking in between songs like he
is standing in your livign room...absolutely incredible! Don't pass it up.

*A Fantastic show & an Incredible recording. The slide guitar work is ridiculous and the interplay amongst the band will make you think that they have been playing together for years when actually this was their 1st show together. Whose idea was it to get all these madmen on the same stage? SMOKIN!!!
