??/??/77 Sons Of Jah Acoustic Tape cdr 1 A Bob Marley Nice Time (Alternate Tracks & Dub Versions) Released: 1997 Published By: SONOTEC, Hamburg, Germany Bootleg CD 288 MB (FLAC) CD Bootleg "Nice Time" > dB power AMP Music Converter > FLAC (Medium Compression) 1. Nice Time 2. Try Me (I've Got The Action) 3. Mellow Mood 4. Soul Rebel 5. No Water Can Quench My Thirst 6. Rebel's Hope 7. No Sympathy 8. It's All Right 9. Reaction 10. Corner Stone 11. 400 years 12. Make Up 13. Soul Almighty 14. Concrete Jungle (Dub Version) 15. Screw Faces (Dub version) 16. Satisfy My Soul (Dub Version) Total Running Time: 46:59 Notes Inside CD: This CD compromises very interesting material 'cause most of these songs are unreleased material from the first album of His Godhead Bob Marley. In December 1970 Bob brought out his first album "Soul Rebel". (Track 3 and 4 are from it). But the Tracks 1, 2 and 5-13 are from the recording sessions from the early 1970's to Soul Rebel. It looks like Bob didn't like these songs enough to put them on the album. But I don't understand that becasue most of the tracks are fine and interesting. Sometimes they are not the typical reggae songs but music full of soul from the motown era. A few Other songs sound very funny, and it's clear why Bob did not put these songs on the album. The last three songs (tracks 14-16) are fantastical and powerful dub versions of these songs. Very groovy. So when you listen to the CD lay back, relax and maybe smoke a spliff. But think about it. Bob Marley's music was not only fun and stuff like this. He was an icon of the rasta movement, too. But he was not really interested in poitics. The only thing he wanted was freedom. A simple word but hard to realize. I will end with words from Bob Marley: "Could You Be Loved" -Your Ghostwriter.

I attended the show personally and noticed how the swirling wind was making the symbols on the drums sound funky. This seed came to me in SHN Format. I decoded to WAV. Ran it thru shntool join to make each set one wav. I then tweaked the levels to bring a more full sound to it. In the mastering I used Stereo Expander, Multiband Compressor, and Peakmaster. Fades are added on the beginning and ending of each set. D2t01 first few beats are clipped. I had other copies of this one and they all start the same spot like this one. D3t05 Drop out @ 12:51 removed. D4t02 & D4t04 had digi pops which were copy and pasted with the oposite channel.

01/21/83 KVRE-FM 101.7 Radio Station 0 Sears clock radio/tape recorder > TDK AD-90 Cassette > Pioneer standalone burner > CDR > EAC > SHN Recorded by Joe Estades during 01-22-1983 re-broadcast using a Sears clock radio/tape recorder and a TDK AD-90 cassette. A/D conversion by Butch Cunningham using a Pioneer standalone burner. EAC>SHN by Barney Rubble. The story: Right after the Grateful Dead shows in Jamaica (11/82), I moved to Rohnert Park in Sonoma County, Northern California. My best friend ?Oak? was going to Sonoma State University, so we rented a condominium from 11/82 ? 3/23 on the outskirts of Sonoma State. I had the great fortune of catching Van Morrison at the Great American Music Hall, and the JGB at the Keystone and the Stone. But obviously I was there for New Years Eve 1982 and actually helped construct the Red Mushroom float for ziti and free admission. Also saw the Dinosaurs at the Cotati Cabaret 2/18/83. I still have the original Alton Kelly poster framed on my wall. The tale of the tape: I stashed away the 1/21/83 Garcia interview tape for 20 years and just dug it up by the grace of God a few months ago. Unearthed have you. (The fun did not stop there. I found a 23-year-old master FM of JGB 2/29/80 B that is cut from the cloth.) I recorded the 1/21/83 interview on a Sears clock radio/tape recorder. It did the trick, and now has left us with a very precious interview which no one has heard since then, when it was heard mainly by Sonoma County school bus drivers and the unemployed. KVRE: A great (now defunct) radio station broadcast the initial interview with Jerry Garcia on 1/21/83 over the air, live at 9:30 am or so (from their studio telephone to Jerry Garcia?s dwelling and telephone). They re-played it the next day around the same time, and that night, the Jerry Garcia Band performed at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, Ca. Great show, and my last JGB show during that stint out West. Garcia is quite jovial and when you hear the interview for the first time you will get choked up. Peace and Enjoy! Joe@elexis.net

There is an inconsistency in how the Taping Addendum and deadlists treat the 7/29/66 and 7/30/66 dates. The Addendum has this setlist for 7/29/66 while deadlists is a bit confusing but from what I can gather assigns these songs to 7/30/66. the majority of the etree entries for both 7/29/66 and 7/30/66 dates look to have the same setlist. 3. This version of the shns looks to be similar to http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=2243 except that it includes the Viola Lee Blues at the start of set 2 and is assigned to 7/29/66 consistent with the Taper's Compendium. Queries on several Dead trading sites thought this was the best date 4. After Midnight 8:12 Comments: Usually circulates with the ??/??/74 portion, but is probably from the winter or spring of '73. Supposedly found in vault unlabled by Dick Latvala. There is a guest guitarist for all four songs, possibly Tom Fogerty.

Smile# Show Notes: Benefit for the Colegio Ecoturistico del Pacifico (Eco Tourist High School of the Pacific). The money will be used to purchase computer equipment for the school. It was a one set acoustic performance. It was attended by about 30 children and a limited number of public tickets were made available (estimated to be 150). The show was announced at the Keller Williams show. Seed Notes: # = Edited out two pops (?maybe something hitting mics?) This show was performed without vocal mics. Due to this you will notice that the vocals sound distant when compared to the music. This is also apparent during the announcement of the purpose of this show. I do not believe that a sbd of this show exists, but if one turns up please contact me at the above email.

Eric breaks a bass string in the middle of Date Rape, so Bradley auditions cage dancers while he restrings. This is the Live Debut of Crazy Fool and Caress me Down as well, making this show quite unique. The fact that it's a soundboard only adds to it's character. ***crazy fool, caress me down*** (first time ever played live)

06/13/04 Bonnaroo Music Festival flac 2 A Filler Moe At Bonaroo 2004 set 2 NOTES: *Set 1 was Trey's orchestral set that was very quiet. Pretty much everyone was talking becuase they were rude as hell and wanted their heady band jams, so the tape is far from listenable. Infact, I would doubt that anyone pulled a listenable tape of it, but I might be wrong... **-with huge firework display to the left of the concert field -This tape has a few of your common FOB issues (mostly durring the first track). You can hear a beachball hit, and some talking which eventually trails off. -Durring Sultans of Swing, a firework is thrown towards the left of the stage, exploding dangerously close to the heads of the crowd. I think there are also a couple other firework explosions audable. Set 2:* DISC 1: 01. Mr. Completely > 02. Sing A Song 03. Simple Twist Up Dave 04. Alive Again > 05. Night Speak to a Woman 06.
