| 09/29/14 | The SSE Hydro | 0 | JAMES TAYLOR GLASGOW SSE HYDRO 2014-09-29 Core Sound Binaurals (no bass filter)>battery filter module>Sony MZ-RH1 (mic jack, low sensitivity) Sony Sonic Stage>WAV>Audacity (splits, EQ + amplify)>FLAC My recorder failed two thirds into the show so this is missing the final six songs played. The unfortunate disc error aside, this is very clean recording with James in great form both musically and in conversing with the audience. Song of the night for me was "Stretch of the Highway" which set the mood for the second set in very cool fashion from the organ solo to the harmonizing backing singers and stage imagery. Please enjoy, feel free to share and let me know your thoughts on the show and the rest of this tour! Set 1 Something in the Way She Moves Today, Today, Today Lo and Behold Wandering Everyday (Buddy Holly cover) Country Road Millworker Carolina in My Mind One More Go Round Sweet Baby James Shower the People Set 2 Stretch of the Highway You and I Again Hour That the Morning Comes Handy Man (Sparks of Rhythm cover) Steamroller Only One Fire and Rain DISC ERROR MISSING Up on the Roof (The Drifters cover) Mexico Your Smiling Face Encore: How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You) (Marvin Gaye cover) You've Got a Friend (Carole King cover) Wild Mountain Thyme (Francis McPeake cover) | |||

| 06/05/16 | SSE Hydro | 0 | On the recording: set the levels perfectly giving just enough room for EQ/Amp boost (as expected from experience in this venue it was quite distant sounding being far back in a large arena. A little treble boost has compensated to a certain extent.) Anyone interested in this tour shouldn't miss this one. Bit of a subdued crowd however Neil and the band played an energy packed set. I love "Winterlong" and the rendition here was perfect. Another standout was a 24 minute "Love and Only Love" Enjoy the show! | |||

| 02/02/14 | Royal Concert Hall | FLAC | 0 | A | These instrumentalists sharing the stage with traditional Scottish songwriters created a beautifully harmonious and rich sound. There were also some notable and very memorable individual performances, including the soulful Dylan tribute "Ring Them Bells" by Sarah Jarosz (track 6) and a Gaelic version of The Beatles’ Blackbird (Julie Fowlis - track 8) Shawn Colvin's lively arrangements with The Sessions band also felt refreshing. Lovers of Folk and the best of Americana should not miss this! Sorry, a set list is unavailable at this time. | |
