Incomplete show. Basically this amounts to discs 1 and 3. Superb sound and performance here, with "homeboy" guest Sonny Landreth trading licks on his slide guitar for several tracks. Monte enjoys the competition; Lonnie is in the groove as always; Phil makes it all happen. Listen to the drumming on "Mirror". Unnnbeeeelievable. Luv it.

Wow, what a great show people. Monte is on fire and openly admits he loves playing this venue. I ripped the audio direct from the .avi files that I will be using to produce the next "Sell Out" DVD Production. I only had to do a few edits, World Turning was split over two tapes, so I spliced it together and added the fade ins for each disk. I just had to share the audio portion of this show first. It is truly epic and you'll even get to hear Lonnie singing Little Wing and a couple of his own songs. Enjoy everyone...

This show is incomplete due to technical difficulties during the recording process. However, what remains is very good stuff. Sound quality is more than adequate and the performance is top notch. Highlights for me are the first track, the solo Cinnamon Girl excerpt and the Lola/World Turning jam. And check out Monte's voice hitting resonance on the chorus about 1:25 into I See You Everywhere. Luv it.
Comment The original recording was stereo, but mastering required that it be saved as mono. A few tracks were recoverable in a stereo version, but those stereo versions are not included on that disc. --Morgen |

This is a really nice sounding audience recording. I left the overall content of both disks intact, but several of the songs splits occurred after the song starts, so they needed retracking. The volume was a little on the low side as well. I ripped all the tracks to HD, merged them, and applied a 3dB volume boost then retracked both disks. There were also several loud clicks that I edited in Cool Edit Pro, they are still evident, but much less noticeable. Sounds like something hit the mics a couple of times. This is a No Bass show and Monte is really into the audience. |

Due to low sound levels I applied a 10Db volume boost with Sony Sound Forge 7, sounds great now with no clipping.

The entire recording was remastered by Morgen and he has improved it dramatically. This is an incomplete recording due to taper's battery failure just before the encore. There is a bit of crowd noise between and during some songs, so be forewarned. Also some occasional clipping due to background vocals being turned up way too high. But it is a very nice recording overall. |

I did a bit of tweaking on it to split a couple tracks. I Also boosted the volume on several tracks to normalize the overall sound levels. A couple of minor clicks were removed as well. I'm not sure what happened to "Shock", but this show is tremendous and the band is really on fire. We got to hear the new song: My Love Remains, the first time live performance. I sure wish we had a video of this performance, it was EPIC!! |

A complete, decent sounding show considering it was captured using a DV camcorder. I gave it a slight bass lift, track splits, fades, and normalized the channel volume with Cool Edit Pro. There are a few talkers between, and during a some songs, but not a big distraction. Monte was really into the crowd and joked often. He seems to really like playing in Dallas, and mentions it several times. Too bad there is a 10PM curfew on these shows, but better than none at all I guess... |
