10/31/73 Sausalito CA The Record Plant 1 This is the correct date for the show that's often mislabeled 12/73 KSAN radio broadcast - the air date was 12/02/73 but it was recorded on 10/31/73. This was recorded shortly after the Wailers were kicked off the Sly & The Family Stone tour for actually drawing more attention than Sly. They were stranded and the K-SAN station booked them at the Matrix Club as well as giving them this Radio time. Lineup: Bob Marley: Guitar and Vocals Peter Tosh: Rhythm Guitar and Vocal Earl 'Wire' Lindo: Keyboards Aston 'Family Man' Barrett: Bass Carlton Barrett: Drums "Walk The Proud Land" is the same song as "Rude Boy", with slightly different text written by Bunny Wailer, but here Bob is singing his lyrics version, so it's called "Rude Boy". After "Rastaman Chant" there's the instrumental jam of "Keep The Faith".

06/27/92 Charlottesville VA Trax 1 The tapes circulating are most likely a soundcheck. Please refer to http://db.etree.org/lookup_show.php?shows_key=127050. Do not add this to your lists. * A portion of this jam is the same as the one Peter played on 06.01.92. ** we're going to call this one Won't Ever, because that's what Dave sings toward the middle of the jam. *** With Kristen Ashbury. The rest of the show is unknown. It is very possible that OSW is the first song of the night. The band might not have had time to do a full check earlier and thus did one with people already in the room. For some reason, copies of this abbreviated show included the #36 from the 7.27.93 show. Because of the uniqueness of the lyrics from that performance (the 1st not about Chris Hani), people thought the song belonged with the 6/27 show. That is incorrect.

It was from Bagby's alternate list that Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors was named by fans. Some traders called it "Cool Winters Day", from a line in the song, so that may have been it's intended name.

Magazine": http://www.whereseric.com/ecfaq/bootlegs/best-clapton-bootlegs-1970.html "The one misnomer is the ‘other’ version of “Bottle of Red Wine”, which on listening you find is the same version on both nights. One possible explanation is that in fact it wasn’t performed on the second night, with Marc Roberty’s book, The Complete Recording Sessions, listing it erroneously."

11/03/74 East Hempstead NY Ultrasonic Studios 1 unknown Performance took place in the early morning hours of 11/04/1974 and was broadcast live WLIR then. It was rebroadcast during waking hours shortly thereafter. This was, essentially, a rehearsal for the the Radio City show on 11/04. The WLIR and Ultrasonic staff made quick arrangements to record the session. After the performance Dickey wanted to hear them again, and again, and finally, at about 4:30 a.m., the staff essentially threw him out of the studio, which did not sit well. Per etreedb convention, the show is listed as 11/03, although listings on 11/04 also exist.

11/21/81 New York NY The Palladium 2 WNEW FM radio broadcast > master cassette > BR first generation cassette > 2cdr > EAC > Sound Forge 6.0 > CD Wave > 1flac / 2cd-da This show captures the final night of the 1981 Private Eyes tour. The performance is terrific - top notch efforts from Daryl Hall, G.E. Smith (guitar) and Charlie DeChant (saxophone) - and the energy level is very high. This show is the perfect complement to the commercial release "Greatest Hits Live," which is a compilation from the Private Eyes tour. The commercial release obviously has superior sound but it's missing the medley/band introductions, between song banter, and attitude of a band peaking and knowing it.

04/??/81 Cherry Hill NJ Emerald City 1 Recorded some two years before the release of "Amore" the show captures what partly seems like a different band than later. And OK, two members were switched before "Amore", but more apparent perhaps are the obvious Reggae and Ska influences that can be found here in songs like "Trenchtown Rock" (Bob Marley cover), "Drop Your Eyes" and "The Israelites" (a cover of the biggest hit from Desmond Dekker and The Aces which was the first succesful Reggae act reaching top 10 in the US with this song in 1969). Although different to later Hooters-shows, it is still a great live band that can be heard here, and the early versions of "All You Zombies" and "Fightin' On The Same Side" makes one feel somewhat "home" if nothing else does. Contains some unreleased songs. Wireless is also a very rarely performed song. "Drop Your Eyes" is sung by John Kuzma, whom John Lilley replaced in 1983. Kuzma used to do some writing and would get a few songs per show to sing.

02/06/70 Syracuse NY Jabberwocky (middle/late sets) 1 James Taylor played three separate shows on 2/6/70. The "Live in Syracuse, Vol. 1" bootleg labels this as the early and late sets, though http://www.solorb.com/dat-heads/digests/V4.400/D441 seems to imply that the early set does not circulate due to recording problems. 07/14/98 Hamburg Germany Westport Festival 1 Latin Crossings Tour. Unsure of correct date. My copy is dated 7-18-98. Notes: Steve Winwood, Tito Puente, and Arturo Sandoval have teamed up for the Latin Crossings tour, a European trek slated to kick off July 3 at its only non-European date: the Montreal Jazz Festival. The first European show will be July 5 in Udine, Italy. The concept behind the two-month European tour is to present each of the trip members' musical leanings separately and in an ensemble. Winwood is hardly a stranger to Hispanic Afro-Caribbean grooves. In the 1970s, he recorded with the Fania All-Stars, and his latest disc contains a salsa track. The Latin Crossings backing band has a cast of standout players: Ed Calle, Tommy Anthony, Walfredo Reyes Jr, Otmaro Ruiz, Manuel Equi Castrillo, and Oskar Cartava. --- Billboard, June 27, 1998
