The recording quality is not quite up to today's standards, the recording starts with a "sworl" and Bob's mouth rubs up against the microphone at times. Ewwwww. Still very enjoyable. Check out Bob's meandering introduction to "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues." |

Originally released as part of the Genuine Live '66 box set. The recording is crystal clear during the acoustic set, less so during the rock-out portion of the show. Still, very good for the time period. Also includes a long, meandering interview which showcases Bob being a punk-ass bitch. |

This is some CD. It really is. One of the best shows of the 80's, and a historic one at that--the first show of the NET. Neil Young is on guitar, if you like that sort of thing. Some lovely covers, like "Man of Constant Sorrow" and and "Lakes of Pontchartrain." Even old song have interesting arrangments. Some of the songs have poor between-track edits, but most are OK. Parental advisory: taper can be heard screaming "FUCK!" at one point on the tape. One can only guess why. This circulated as a soundboard for many years but is actually just a good audience recording. |

This was my first-ever Bob Dylan concert! It was a great show! This recording isn't! It's listenable, but it's sort of boomy, and it gets fuzzy in parts. I still find it very enjoyable, but then again, I still have the visual memory of Bob with a bad orange-tinged dye job. Also, I remember thinking he had a meatball-on-a-toothpick figure. Huh. |

The loveliest Bob concert I've ever been to. I'll never forget how the old man kept staggering out to center stage during particularly tasty instrumental breaks, swaying like a man on the verge of an air-guitar solo. And the corny jokes!
That said, this recording does not have the best sound quality. It's pretty boomy. That said, it's very enjoyable if you "adjust your ear."
Tiny digital glitch at 3:01. |
