(starting grounds for Kiss). Rhinegold has also played at Playwrights' Horizon's,
Queen's Playhouse In The Park and an upcoming West End revival
Singers and performers un-specified. The Rhinegold recordings, from the
private collections of Barry Keating and Jim Steinman, were given to the Steinman fan
community in late 2005.
This show believably starred (in its many incarnations) Andre DeShields (The Wiz,
The Full Monty), Jessica Harper (Janet from Shock Treatment), Mimi Kennedy (Dharma & Greg)
and Craig Richard Nelson. Legendary American playwright Wendy Wasserstein choreographed.
Barry Keating is the creator of the successful musical Starmites, and Jim Steinman is
best remembered for his hits with Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler, as well as the musicals
Whistle Down the Wind (with Andrew Lloyd Webber) and Dance of the Vampires
(directed by Roman Polanski)
