It's Just Me
Broken Record
Enter John Specker, who together with DTB performed a blistering version of a song, the name of which neither I nor anyone around me knew. Lyrics included "When I was young . . ." "Hang down your head and cry"
"Fall on your knees"
Leaving on Your Mind
You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man
Exeunt Kelley and Nick and enter Amy Worthen and Jason Krekel (aka Mad Tea Party) along with a guy who played the keyboard mouth organ; re-enter Jay. Don't know the name of this song. Refrain seemed to be "Come baby let's shake it." Tara on fiddle.
Ribbons and Bows
Exit Richie and enter Cyril Lance and David Levine on
guitar to perform Bob Dylan's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome when You Go,"
in memory of Ransom Hobbs. Tara on fiddle.
Exeunt Cyril and David, enter Preston Frank to peform a zydeco, the title of which I don't know, and "Bad, Bad Woman." (Tara, on rubboard, sang a verse, changing the lyric to "Bad, bad man . . . ")
And "last but not least" (Jeb), the Duhks: "Bring It on Home to Me" (I
think this is the 1961 Sam Cooke song that has been frequently covered,
e.g., The Animals, Lou Rawls, Dave Mason, among others), followed by what must be James Brown's "Gonna Have a Funky Good Time" ("we gotta take you higher!") --> Led Zepplin's "Whole Lotta Love." Tara on fiddle.
