CommentThis is the line up of the Albions that became Home Service when nearly the entire band split from founder Ashley Hutchings. It's the band that did the "Larkrise to Candleford" shows and album, and includes John Tams, Bill Caddick, and Graeme Taylor.

Recorded concert at the BBC Concert Hall, broadcast in two parts. There were usually three or four acts at these concerts, so I guess this was all of the set. Shame it was not longer!

CommentAs far as I know the line-up of the Watersons for all these recordings was the same -

Martin Carthy, Lal,Mike & Norma Waterson.

The last set is by Blue Murder, the folk harmony supergroup. This is the original group, which never recorded and was made up of the Watersons and Swan Arcade (Jim Boyes, Dave & Heather Brady).

The quality of these recordings is a little variable, as they were made in a number of different locations, with different eqiupment over a number of years. Blemishes which you might not notice on a rock recording tend to stand out far more with unaccompanied singing!

For more information and further listening you can do worse than check out the recent Watersons boxset "Mighty River of Song" (Topic TSFCD4002)
