?A colossal vocalist, a superb guitarist, Monti left the audience in a state of shock - it was unbelievable! If you?ve heard the word then you know the big man is a must see.? - Gazette Des Gazzelles, France
?We?ve heard the future of blues and his name is Monti Amundson.? - Music and Media, Germany
When Monti Amundson gets compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan or Johnny Winter he just says thank you. But the fact is the big man has his own style. His influences range from the aforementioned and fellow Texas rocker Billy Gibbons to B.B. King and rock legends Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. The blending of these styles in combination with Amundson's fine vocals is what makes him stand out from the crowd.
Above all Monti Amundson is a great live performer who gets his point across. Whether it's an acoustic slide number or an all out show stopper, Amundson knows how to move a crowd. Known to live out of a suitcase for years at a time, Amundson has made a great impression throughout Europe. In his home base Portland his music has been highly valued for almost twenty years. The blues of Monti Amundson comes straight from the heart, cuts through your soul and is as real as it gets.

Named after the date of their first gig (3/4/03), the MarchFourth Marching Band has evolved into a high-energy, eclectic and mobile unit of good times, taking a Fellini-esque mix of Mardi Gras mayhem, Afro beat, Mexican hustle, gypsy samba, big band blues, and Bulgarian blat to the streets and parks, and the club and festival scene--anywhere people seek liberation through hip-shaking beats, driving bass, and high-flying horn arrangements, accompanied by their surrealist troupe of stilt-dancers, fire-spinners, and costumed beauties. MarchFourth will storm through the festival late afternoon on Saturday.

Zora Young
"Her rough-edged croon can raise welts or love bumps. She has the versatility to strut comfortably from back-alley funk to uptown jump sophistication." - Living Blues
"Young's voice contains the same contradictory mix of the tough and the vulnerable that distinguishes singers such as Bessie Smith and Big Maybelle." - Blues and Rhythm
Despite the prominent presence of celebrated blues artist Howlin' Wolf in her family tree, singer Zora Young grew up singing not blues, but gospel. Even when the Mississippi native shook off her roots at the age of seven to relocate with family to Chicago, she attended the Greater Harvest Baptist Church and continued to sing gospel. It wasn't until later that she switched to R&B, and evolved into a powerhouse blues vocalist. Her three decades of experience has included performing with such blues luminaries Junior Wells, Jimmy Dawkins, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Albert King, and B.B. King. Her recording credits include collaborations with Willie Dixon, Sunnyland Slim, Mississippi Heat, Maurice John Vaughn, and Portland's Paul deLay, among others. Her own recordings as a solo artist include releases on the Deluge, Black Lightning, and Delmark labels. She is a veteran of more than 30 tours of Europe, and has been a featured performer many times at the Chicago Blues Festival. She has performed throughout North America, and on stages in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, France, Switzerland, and Greece, as well as Austria, Tai Pei, and Turkey.
