Set 1A Quantity Of Stuff - I believe this was the first continuous broadcast of this documentary. It has been re-broadcast in two parts, in two separate broadcasts since this date. The split between the Introduction and Part 1 is obvious. The split between Part 1 and Part 2 is less obvious. Stuart Maconie is a real Eno fan, so the presentation is enthusiastic.
Set 1Johnnie Walker recalls the period between September 1966 and June 1967 when Jimi Hendrix lived in London. He transformed from a shy penniless musician into a dynamic force.
With contributions from Eric Clapton, Robert Wyatt, Glen Tilbrooke, Pete Townsend, Eric Bibb, and former Animals bass player Chas Chandler, who is credited with discovering Hendrix.
Running time: 46.17
