Probably the earliest radio interview with the band and Peter Jenner, this was rebroadcast as part of Capitol Radio's 'The Pink Floyd Story', in December 1976. The interview features a unique recording of 'Interstellar Overdrive'.
There is also another version of this recording, possibly taken from the original master, which has recently surfaced, featuring a longer version of 'Interstellar Overdrive', but omitting much of the interview with Pete Jenner. In 'The Pink Floyd Story' version, 'Interstellar Overdrive' fades very shortly after Peter Jenner says 'we think we can do both'. While this first copy continues for a moment or so, the second continues for a further 1:01 and ends with a particularly unaggressive crescendo, as opposed to the version of 'Interstellar Overdrive' used on 'Tonite Let's All Make Love In London'.
The recording is plainly early but is not the same as that which appears on the 'San Franciso' soundtrack. Trying to attribute a date is problematic - perhaps it too, was recorded at their 31st October 1966 recording session or among the Peter Jenner demo tapes during the summer of 1966.
