Comment"The Rock'n'Roll Giants in Rome" - Palaeur, 11/17/88
This concert features some of the Masters of Rock'n'Roll (and of R'n'B
also, as the Soft Warewolf would say) onstage for over 2 hours of great
music and great amusement.
This concert for Unicef, under the musical direction of Dave Edmunds,
was filmed by a professional crew and broadcast by several European TV
stations: now, from a hi-quality VHS recording of the original video
masters, comes this excellent double VCD. It is mono, alas, but the
overall quality is very good and the performance itself features some
historical moments (such as the handshake between Little Richard and
Jerry Lee Lewis, together on stage for the first time after years of
very bad relationships) and lots of great music.
