Hello brothers and sisters. I'm ALWAYS up for a trade. I burn DAO and on quality cdrs only. I'm honest and can only hope for the same! I'm now set up to do SHN trades via FTP or mail. I'm just getting started, so I only have a few that I will list soon. email me for a login and password. I could really use an upload! MY POLICIES "Sometimes we live in no particular way but our own." 1.) I always burn disc-at-once (DAO) 2.) I always send each disc in a plastic or paper sleeve 3.) I always send trade in plastic bubble mailer 4.) I always ship 1st class mail 5.) I will most often have a 2 day mail turnaround once the trade is final (excluding b&p's, allow a few more days) 6.) NO MP3 disc! 7.) I only trade shows that are sourced! Unless it is some old school stuff that a source is unavailable (like Run DMC, ps 142, Queens, NY) Finally and important, if you ever run into a probelm with disc I send you, let me know asap so I can fix the problem. I always make good on my trades. Thanks |

| 12/31/01 | Brandy House | cdr | 5 | A | From Leonard Cooper: The soundboard matrix feed was recorded on a Sony D8, first in line. The ambient audience recording was made with Microtech Geffell MG210s > Hosa silver conductor cables > Oade M148 > Oade SBM-1 > Tascam DA-P1. I then load the recordings into the computer using Samplitude 2496. EQ and levels were applied to the matrix recording, then it is time synced with the audience recording. The whole show is 4 hours and 45 min. Each CD has to be mastered with an appropriate amount of compression/expansion to make the recordings sound good even on a boom box. All of this work is done at real time. That is to say that the recordings are played and played and played, over and over again until the right sound is achieved. Files are then created that will become the CDs. Since all the recordings are made at a 48 kHz sample rate they have to be converted to the 44.1 kHz of CD format. The conversion will take about 18 hours of computer time alone. All recordings are processed on the computer as 32 bit files, they the have to be converted to the 16 bit CD format as well in a separate process. Index marks are applied, hopefully when each new song starts and then they are ready to burn. A one hour CD only takes about 5-6 minutes to burn. Overall, the entire project will consume about 50-60 man-hours, not including the recording itself. A labor of love. Setlist by CD breakdown below: ------------------------------------------------------------- (CD 1) Set 1: (Time Theme) Right Place Wrong Time Time Will Tell -> Pendulum -> Fly Like an Eagle (first time played) Set 2: (4+ hours!) Time -> (first time played) 2002 Countdown -> Touch of Grey (first time played) (CD 2) Young Boy Chameleon So Glad to See You ScoMule (first time played) Lay it Down (CD 3) US Blues Skywater Crawfish Shuffle Song Remains the Same Jam -> In the Flesh -> Mating Drive -> Pendulum Reprise -> Space -> (CD 4) Drums -> Atlas West LA Fadeaway Memory Pigs (CD 5) E1: Wheels -> I Want You E2: Taxi Driver (missing start and first verse) | |

| 08/06/74 | Roosevelt Stadium | cdr | 4 | A | Grateful Dead Roosevelt Stadium Jersey City, NJ 8/6/74 MR > DAT > CD > Sonic Solutions > CD Circulation shn: Plextor SCSI 40x Reader > EAC As of Sept 00, this copy is just entering circulation. For more info on the source of this copy, read Jim Powell's comments below. .shn and .md5 created by Mike Hall (myko@well.com) >From Jim Powell: "OK, I just got the master of the DeadLists Edition of Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City 8/6/74: a digital copy of the master SBD reels with the 20 second flip cut in Scarlet Begonias patched with an excellent AUD master. This is the entire show including Seastones, in perfect condition, on 4 CDs. ... We owe thanks especially to Hugh Barroll, who passed along CDs of a digital copy of the master SBD; to Ihor Slabicky, who supplied a copy of his AUD master of the show; and to Dave Greenberg, who used Soundforge to patch the tape flip in Scarlet Begonias on the SBD and produce our masters. Noah Weiner also helped with the project, forwarding a copy of Barry Glassberg's AUD master." and later Jim reiterated: "The lineage of this copy of 8/6/74 is MR > DAT > CDs. It is the entire show, uncut, including Seastones (and the encore). The flip chop in Scarlet is expertly patched with excellent AUD. It very markedly upgrades the copy that came around a year or so ago, as well as all other circulating copies. Until and unless they release this as a Dick's Picks, and do as good or better a job than we have with the patch, this is the ultimate copy of this alltime great show, hands down, no shit." ********** FURTHUR: More work was done on this by David Gans using Sonic Solutions. A digital copy of Ihor Slabicky's tape and the cd's from Dave Greenberg were used to further patch the reel flips in Eyes of the World and Truckin'. David also edited the reel starts and stops between songs. Nothing that was said was removed. What we have here is the *FINAL* copy of this, my first show, to be circulated! These .shn's have been generated from the discs David Gans made. MD5's have been generated for both the .wav and .shn files. I, before sending Greenbergs disks to Gans, retracked the original Disk 2 as there were 2 leadin tracks that were orphaned from the main song track. | 02/26/77 | Swing Auditorium | cdr | 3 | A | Grateful Dead Swing Auditorium - San Bernardino, CA February 26, 1977 Since there were no md5s when I originally downloaded this show, after re-encoding into the new seekable shn format, I created md5s. I ripped the tracks using EAC at no less than 99.9% accuracy. Enjoy -- alternate tracking suggestion by listener Greg Hamilton: 02/26/77 Swing Auditorium, San Bernardino, CA GSH note: The track list here is my redistribution of the tracks across 3 discs, so that all discs are under 74 minutes. In the original tracking as down- loaded, all of Set 1 was on one disc that was overtime (> 74 minutes) and thus not Red Book compliant. No jams or segues are disrupted by my alternate tracking.
