03/01/02 The Olympia CD-R 1 Damien's first big gig in the Olympia, featuring most of the tracks from O, plus a few others including a great rendition of Groovin'. Other highlights include Lisa's gorgeous Silent Night before the curtains go up - You could hear a pin drop in the venue. Listen out for her during the climax of I Remember as well. Wow. Tomo's Billie Jean is great too. Overall a brilliant recording of a brilliant gig that remains probably the best Damien bootleg out there. A must have.
12/07/02 The Olympia CD-R 2 Damien's infamous birthday gig, the first of a 3 night slot with the full band in the Olympia. Guest appearances by Terry Sutton & Declan O'Rourke. For those who weren't present, Damien consumes an entire bottle of wine during Cheers Darlin' - The collective gasp of the audience results from Damien throwing his birthday cake in Lisa's face at the climax of the song. There then follows a pretty drunken unplugged ensemble rendition of Heaven Belongs To You, featuring Lisa on lead vocal, Damien on ukelele, Vyvienne on Cello and the backing singers of Tomo, Shane, Terry, Declan and Kathryn Williams and her band (the support act).
12/14/02 Derry Playhouse CD-R 2 Small, mostly acoustic set with Lisa on backup and Tomo on percussion - Lisa for once is pleasingly loud in the mix. Highlights of the evening: - Cannonball sung by Lisa - Great extended mix of Volcano - A rare outing of a great version of Sand - I Remember: Damien really goes off on one at the end of this - Amazing at the time, but it may not relate too well to people who weren't there... - Listen out for Lisa at the end of Delicate - Superb!
02/19/03 Union Chapel CD-R 1
03/28/03 WFUV Radio Studio CD-R 1
05/30/03 El Rey Theatre CD-R 2 Notes: Damien came out solo unplugged and without a mic for the first 3/4 of "The Professor" to start the gig. This is very evident in the recording but I tried to compensate for it a little bit. Also, volume levels were the most extreme (both quiet and loud) I have ever dealt with so I had to do a lot of adjusting in Soundforge. If the volume seems a bit off at times (mostly during crowd noise), sorry about that. Lastly, the PA had minor issues so brief amounts of static (briefly in "Volcano") are a result of that. 09/10/03 Theater of Living Arts CD-R 2 notes - levels rang from really low to really high...thats just the way the show was on the PA...
10/04/03 Henry Fonda Theater CD-R 3 A Notes: If you drop the filler track featuring Vyvienne this show can fit on two 80 minute discs if you break it after Childish. Amazing performance. The night was plagued by an obscene number of technical difficulties which Damien jokes about throughout the show. Any pops, feedback, odd sounds, etc are due to the venue and not the preformance or recording. As with all full band Damien shows, levels are extreme. Volume has been slightly adjusted but major variations in volume are as they were at the venue. Never pay for or sell live recordings. If you have any questions or need more info drop me a line. Compiled on 10.16.03
11/05/03 Rainbow Club CD-R 1 Notes: The end of the show is missing (just a few minutes)
11/21/03 Cane's CD-R 2 Notes: Few technical issues with this performance. PA had an odd buzzing sound at times that was apparently due to a "phone" or at least that's what they must have said over the IEM as Shane kept mouthing/saying it. There was also some static from the PA (at least the left stacks) later on in the evening. As with all full band Damien shows, levels are extreme. Volume has been slightly adjusted but major variations in volume are as they were at the venue. Pedestrian's opening set is also available. Never pay for or sell live recordings. If you have any questions or need more info drop me a line. Compiled on 11.23.03
