This show started to spread sometime in 2002 (October?). The first three songs are in fact
from 8-21-91. The Cry Freedom however is from a Dave solo studio demo. Probably Quad City
DAT>Cass(x) also, not the DAT > SHN copy that is out there (or what most people call
Ruetabega, if I wasn't so lazy I'd check it against my copy). The Sympathy For the Devil
was played after Cry Freedom (the one that was played on 8-21) but is not present here.
There is a widely circulated copy of this show that has a portion of Sympathy.

This show is NOT reall 5.11.91 as it is commonly mislabeled (South Street Warehouse). Peter is clearly heard on keys, and did not join the band until 8.91. This show is from no earlier than 9.xx.91 judging by the lyrics. |

If you open each track in cool edit or soundforge, you'll
notice that the right track is much more prevalent than the left,
that's the way it is on the DAT, but the sound is still really sweet. |

Both Recently and What Would You Say were cut slightly by the tape flip on the analog.
Consequently, there is a fade-in/out between these two songs.
The quality of this recording may not be overly impressive, but it has the ever-rare ABC Jam, a
cover of the Jackson 5 song. |

^ Dave Solo
~ Dave introduces this as a "new" tune.
* There is a huge cut on the tape/cd after Two Step. But it appears that this is
all from the same show. Also, it's more than likely set II only b/c Dave does
very little talking during his solo numbers, and it was a common way for him to
perform (set II solo openers) in that manner. |

* This has a definate #36ish flavor to it in the beginning before it moves on to la-la land.
I am 0% sure of the date. 6/27/92 is simply what it was labeled as when it was sent to me.
All I know is that this is pure wholesome DMB jamming goodness which is very rare and quite enjoyable.
Please realize that the lineage of this show is unknown. Despite that, I figured the nature
of the played material made it worth its release.
At the end of track #4 Dave gives props to Oteil Burbridge on bass and Mike Durham(?) on guitar |

*1st Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors
**With words; This is the last live #34
The names in brackets are the alternate set of goofy names given to the songs by Jeff "Bagby" Thomas, DMB's sound guy. It was from Bagby's alternate list that Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors was named by fans. Some traders called it "Cool Winters Day", from a line in the song, so that may have been it's intended name. |
