Add New Shows
First please make sure that the show isn't already in the database. You can search using the [homepage] or the [Query Complete Database] tool. Adding the same show twice is bad, m'kay?
If the show does not exist, then to add it, either start at your list and click Add New Show, or start from the db.etree.org front page, click Add to etree: performanace.
Then click Add a show not currently listed in the database.
When you add a new show, please remember that you are adding a generic entry for everyone to use. If you have info about tracking, or song timings, or notes about tape flips, microphones, formats, etc., that stuff belongs on your list, not on everyone else's list. All information about new shows should be generic: just the songs played, and any historical information about the show. Please see the AddShow page for more information.
After you add the new show, you'll go to a second page where you can add your own notes about your copy of the performance. That's where the mic info and track #s belong.
db.etree.org uses the American date system -- mm/dd/yy. Even if you are in Europe, or the performance was in Europe, please to not use dd/mm/yy. It just screws things up.
Also, all of the fields are required. Show Date (mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy), Show Year (y2k style yyyy), Venue, City, State. Yes, you must enter the date twice.
If you leave something blank while using [Firefox], you will see an error message prompting you to fix the problem If you use IE and leave one of these required fields blank, you will only get a mysterious white screen with a Done message. So either [switch to a better browser], or don't make mistakes. ;)
There is a set of tools over each textarea. These are TextareaTools. Please read the TextareaTools page to learn how to use these to maintain clean data.
