Internet Archive

In their own words:

The [Internet Archive] is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

The archive approached etree with an idea. They wanted to volunteer to host lossless audio. At the time of this writing they have over 1000 shows available to download at any time and you do not need a userid or password. The direct link to the audio section is: http://www.archive.org/audio/etree.php

To download a show, you can either get it through http, ftp or sometimes Etree:BitTorrent. There are multiple file servers so find the show you want, view the detail for the show and note which server that show is on. You can then pull up your ftp client and connect anonymously to that server and download the show.
