Repair Dates
Q: I added a new Show the database, but mistyped the date and now I can't fix it. Can you fix that for me?
Q: I found a Show with the wrong date and I know what the correct date is. How do I correct the date?
A: Contact [the db team] with the shows_key number, tell us what the date should be, and we'll fix it. The shows_key is the number you see at the end of the URL when you're looking at each Show. Just copy/paste the whole url into an email. Note, this is not the "myshows" number of your personal list entry- it's the main db number.
Q: I see a bunch of entries for a particular item, some correct and some incorrect. Can there just be one good entry instead?
A: Bad entries can be merged into good entries by certain admins. To help fix the problem, do these steps:
In a merge, any users who have the bad entry linked will move painlessly onto the remaining good one, and any setlist info in the bad entry will disappear.
Please make sure to edit the good entry (with setlist info) yourself rather than expecting the admin to do it, then supply both new "good" and old "bad" show_key numbers.
Q: Band/date x has a ton of duplicate entries on it. Can extras be removed?
A: If there are many duplicates under a particular band that share the same date, it's usually a result of an earlier name merge. In that case, just send us the name of the artist to tend to and all duplicates can be conveniently cleaned up at once, without your sending in the key numbers.
If the duplicates happen to be listed under differing dates (perhaps some are mistakes), contact us with the shows_key as above, but in this case you won't have to create an extra entry first.

A: Bad entries can be merged into good entries by certain admins. To help fix the problem, do these steps:
- Create the correct date as a whole fresh db entry if it doesn't already exist.
- Contact [the db team] with both shows_key numbers.
- In your email, please mention which item is correct vs. incorrect.
- Help justify the change with explanation if necessary.
