Rules are standard trading rules. Ask if you don't know them. I have stopped giving show rating's because this is only my opinion. Everyone views performances differently and everyone needs to grade shows for themselves. If you would like to know my opinion's on any of the shows on my list feel free to read the notes I have included or shoot me an email and ask me what I think. Peace and happy trading.
Allman Brothers Band --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
02/11/70 Fillmore East (Early Show) CDR 1 B+ Cut in Mountain Jam is real annoying but other than that great show. KNowing what happened later that night with the Dead/Allman jam makes this sound even better

Bela Fleck & The Flecktones --- Approximate Hours: 2.5
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
09/12/01 Orpheum Theatre CDR 2 A- PUMPKIN CARVING SONG!!!!!!

Blueground Undergrass --- Approximate Hours: 2.5
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
05/16/01 Wetlands CDR 2 A- My first taste of BGUG and all I can say is bring me more.

Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
04/13/91 Chestnut Cabaret CDR 2 A Real solid set from a great band. I gotta get some more Blues Traveler.

Bob Marley & The Wailers --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
07/16/78 Paramount Theatre CDR 1 B Received this as a little something extra in a trade. It's pretty good. I suggest checking it out.

Bruce Hornsby & Bela Fleck --- Approximate Hours: 3.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
08/21/99 Charles Ives Center CDR 3 A+ WOW!! Bruce is amazing. He works great with Bela as well so to recap, this show kills.

David & the Dorks --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
12/20/70 The Matrix CDR 1 A- a nice addition to any collection, features odd versions of two Dead classics and five other songs I had not heard but enjoy greatly.

Garcia --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
10/28/69 2400 Fulton Street - Jefferson Airplane House CDR 1 A- Amazing!!! Jerry and Jorma work magnificently together and this is a perfect example.

Garcia & Grisman --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
08/25/91 Goldcoast Concert Bowl CDR 1 A This combo works incredibly. This is a great portion of Jerry you don't see much with the Dead.

Garcia & Kahn --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
05/05/82 Oregon State Prison CDR 1 B I need a better copy of this because it is possibly the best acoustic set of all time which ends with a beautiful Rueben & Cherise encore. If you listen real close you can actually hear a prisoner call for this and then Jerry says "OK" and busts into it.

Garcia & Saunders --- Approximate Hours: 2.5
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
01/24/73 Boarding House CDR 2 B+ Very good show where Jerry truly gets to shine. Sarah Fulcher comes out and sings lead vocals on a bunch of tunes and does a mighty fine job to boot. Why couldn't Jerry sneak her back to the Dead and get rid of Donna?

Gov't Mule --- Approximate Hours: 3.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
05/03/02 State Palace Theatre CDR 3 A Long live the Mule!!

Grateful Dead --- Approximate Hours: 320
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
03/25/66 Trouper's Hall CDR 1 A WOW!! I didn't realize a 66' show could sound this good. This is a fantastic show that fits on 1 disc w/ 7/3/66.
07/03/66 Fillmore Auditorium CDR 1 A on same disc w/ 3/25/66 and both are incredible. If you're looking to build your collection of 60's Dead, start here.
07/29/66 P.N.E. Garden Auditorium CDR 1 B+ solid 66 set
11/19/66 Fillmore Auditorium CDR 1 A great sound quality for 60's, whole show rocks
09/03/67 Dance Hall CDR 1 A- I love 60's Dead. This show in particular has standout versions of Schoolgirl, Viola Lee, and Alligator.
11/10/67 Shrine Exposition Hall CDR 2 A Great '67 set from the Shrine. The opening Viola Lee is not hurt by a minor splice and rips from start to finish. the rest follows suit with highlights being Schoolgirl and Caution.
11/11/67 Shrine Exhibition Hall CDR 1 A solid 67' set. Great versions of Lovelight and Schoolgirl, others solid versions as well.
01/23/68 Eagles Auditorium CDR 1 A- Say it with me now, Primal Dead.
02/14/68 Carousel Ballroom CDR 2 A Please refer to Dark Star -> China Cat -> The 11. Thanks.
10/13/68 Avalon Ballroom CDR 1 B+ good set unfortunetly Death Don't is cut badly but the rest is good. The Eleven does not dissapoint but has it ever?
02/27/69 Fillmore West CDR 3 A Sounds Amazing for '69. Simply put, the start of the greatest run in history.
02/28/69 Fillmore West CDR 3 A "the best Grateful Dead show of all time!" - Dick Latvala
03/01/69 Fillmore West CDR 2 A WOW!!! This show has eluded me for awhile but I finally have it. I am so impressed. '69 Dead rocks.
03/02/69 Fillmore West CDR 3 A+ Sounds Amazinf for '69. Simply put, the end of the greatest run in history.
04/05/69 Avalon Ballroom CDR 2 A- This is a great '69 show with an interesting set list. All the regular tunes are in there but it seems like the first set is the normal second set.
04/20/69 Clark University CDR 2 A- '69 is never a let down. Period.
04/21/69 The Ark CDR 3 A My username pretty much somes up this show. I LOVE THE ELEVEN!!!
04/22/69 The Ark CDR 3 A I'm melting!!
04/23/69 The Ark CDR 3 A- WOW!!! Perhaps the peak of this absolutely spectacular 3 night run. The second set jam featured around The Eleven is enough by itself. Get a copy of this.
05/03/69 Winterland Arena CDR 1 A- After absolutely falling in love with He Was A Friend Of Mine on 4/23/69, I had to aquire more versions. This one doesn't quite stack up with that monster, but it's close.
10/25/69 Winterland Arena CDR 1 A- I really like this show a lot. Phil is everywhere and actually dominates The Eleven which is usually Jerry's stomping ground. Stephen Stills helps out nicely on Lovelight as well.
11/02/69 Family Dog at the Great Highway CDR 1 A- Solid 69 show w/ a great Dark Star
02/11/70 Fillmore East (late show) CDR 2 A- Duane Allman joins the boys from the middle of Dark Star on and is a much wanted treat. His and everyone else's work on Lovelight is very noteworthy. SPANISH JAM!!!!
04/03/70 Field House, U. of Cincinnati CDR 2 B+ Good but not great show from '70. Cosmic Charlie -> NFA -> Lovelight is great however, as is Uncle John;s Band. The monitor noise throughout is rather annoying but its still listenable.
05/06/70 Kresge Plaza, M.I.T. CDR 2 B+ Great show! Dancin' cuts in but you don't miss much and what's here kills. A cut in China Cat - Rider hurts but is not too big of a deal.
05/07/70 Dupont Gymnasium, MIT CDR 4 B This is a fantastic show at MIT especially the Lovelight -> St. Stephen Jam -> Jam -> Darkness Jam -> Jam -> China Cat Jam -> Lovelight. Unfortunetly, noticeable tape hiss is rather annoying.
05/15/70 Fillmore East (Late Show) CDR 6 A Look at the size of my list and then read this. This is quite possibly the finest Dead performance I own.
06/07/70 Fillmore West CDR 3 A- One of my favorite shows from one of my favorite years. The acoustic set is brilliant with highlights being New Speedway, Cumberland, and Cold Jordan. As for the electic the short Louie Louie Jam is cool and the Good Lovin with drums sandwich is just good ole Grateful Dead.
02/18/71 Capitol Theater CDR 3 A- Lots of new material all played brilliantly = SICK show
04/17/71 Dillon Gym, Princeton University CDR 3 A- This shows highlights include a superb Good Lovin' w/ drums sandwich and Pigpen setting up 2 couples in the crowd during Lovelight. Check it out.
04/26/71 Fillmore East CDR 3 A- Great show!! The Dark Star -> Wharf Rat and everything w/ Duane Allman rocks especially hard.
04/28/71 Fillmore East CDR 4 A WOW!! Closing jam with TC is perfect.
04/29/71 Fillmore East CDR 5 A- Finally, a SHN copy of this classic show. And, the full NRPS set to boot. This is a must have.
11/07/71 Harding Theater CDR 4 A- In a word: WOW!! The Hideaway Jam is unique and fantastic. Dark Star -> Other One -> MAMU -> Other One. Yeah. Also, Brokedown is always sweet and they close with Uncle John's Band. Classic s????
12/04/71 Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden CDR 2 A- a solid effort from the boys with standout versions of Smokestack, Other One, and Comes A Time.
12/05/71 Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden CDR 2 B+ This show is a tad stale but The Other One still rages and it has a superb Smokestack Lightning.
12/14/71 Hill Auditorium CDR 3 A I am listening to this right now for the first time after a lot of rule # 5 and I mean a lot of rule # 5. Mr. Charlie is making me puddle.
04/08/72 Wembley Empire Pool CDR 3 A- My first taste of Europe '72 (other than the album) and it sure is sweet. Dark Star -> Sugar Mags -> Caution!!!
04/14/72 Tivoli Theater CDR 3 A SICK!! Disc 3 speaks for itself. Get this show.
08/27/72 Old Renaissance Faire Grounds CDR 3 A- Sweet, sweet, Veneta. All I can say is it lives up to the hype.
09/17/72 Baltimore Civic Center CDR 3 A This is a very solid 72' show. Obvious highlights are the He's Gone- Other One, but the rest of the show rips as well.
09/21/72 The Spectrum CDR 4 A One of the all time greats, this is a must have in any full collection. He's Gone -> Truckin' is amazing and Dark Star -> Dew one ups it.
02/09/73 Roscoe Maples Pavilion, Stanford University CDR 3 A I personally love this show from the epic year of '73. It has a great mix of songs all of which are played to perfection. TLEO is perfect.
02/15/73 Dane County Coliseum CDR 3 A- no encore, but the rest of the show bumps. Dark Star Eyes China Doll opens disc 3. nuff said
03/26/73 Civic Center CDR 4 A solid show, weird story of acquisition. I heard this on a Dead radio hour not realizing what show it was until I received it in the mail 2 days later. Weird.
05/26/73 Kezar Stadium CDR 3 B+ I finally have Kezar and can say nothing other than all you hear is true.
06/10/73 Robert F. Kennedy Stadium CDR 4 A- One of the classics.
10/19/73 Oklahoma City Fairgrounds Arena CDR 3 A was just released as DP 19 so I can't trade this. However, go buy it. The show is well worth the money. One listen makes it very obvious why Dick selected this show.
11/11/73 Winterland Arena CDR 3 A- One of the finest Dark Stars of all time.
11/17/73 Pauley Pavilion, UCLA CDR 3 A Simply put, you'll cream your pants.
11/20/73 Denver Coliseum CDR 3 A- More outstanding '73. Did they have any off nights that year? This certainly was not one of them.
12/06/73 Public Hall CDR 3 A/C DAAAAAAARK STAR CRASHES!!!!!!!
02/23/74 Winterland Arena CDR 3 A He's Gone -> Truckin'!!!!!
02/24/74 Winterland Arena CDR 4 A my fav versions of Ship Of Fools and Baby Blue which happen to be 2 of my fav songs making this an A+ show for me
05/19/74 Portland Memorial Coliseum CDR 3 A '74 Dead is so sweet. Weather Report was unbelievable as the full suite. I don't know why they dropped the prelude and part 1 post-retirement.
06/18/74 Freedom Hall CDR 3 A+ Words do not describe how amazing the boys were this night in June. WRS -> Other One is perhaps the finest 40 minutes of music I have ever heard and the Eyes -> China Doll in set one gives it a good run.
07/19/74 Selland Arena CDR 3 A- 30 minute Playin', WRS -> Spanish Jam -> Eyes -> China Doll Hell, yeah!!!
08/06/74 Roosevelt Stadium CDR 4 A- Pure Sweetness
09/20/74 Palais Des Sports CDR 3 A- This is a real good '74 show and my copy has a lot of Keith. The Truckin' -> Jam -> Eyes -> GDTRFB makes the show. GSET is great but Donna ruins some of Jerry's leads by screaching louder than I thought was possible and droaning him out. Other than that, its a great show.
09/28/75 Lindley Meadows, Golden Gate Park CDR 2 A This is a really cool show where you get 1 of 4 chances ('75 shows) to see the period between '74 and '76 Dead. It's good. The Music NEVER Stopped.
09/25/76 Capital Centre CDR 3 A Dancin'- Cosmic Charlie in 76', DANCIN'- COSMIC CHARLIE IN 76'!!! BTW, this is soon to be released along with another '76 show that I can't think of right now as Dick's Picks 20. So, buy the discs and I don't really want to trade this.
03/18/77 Winterland Arena CDR 3 A- first Scarlet- Fire and my fav this side of Cornell
04/23/77 Springfield Civic Center CDR 3 A another dank '77 show. My fav sections of this show are the first set Ramble On Rose and the second set Help- Slip- Frank.
05/05/77 Veterans Memorial Coliseum CDR 3 A- Classic show from New Haven in May of '77 does not dissapoint. I have been searching for this show for quite a while and am very pleased. It just flat out rips and is as much of a must have as 5/8. BTW, the sound rating of this is an A- only because the very beginning of Scarlet is clipped. Not a big deal but still.
05/08/77 Barton Hall, Cornell University CDR 3 A If you don't have or know of this show, you are not a fan.
05/09/77 Buffalo Memorial Auditorium CDR 3 A Kickass show from a classic run. I finally completed possibly the greatest 3 day run in Dead history 5/7-5/9. This is one of many must have Dead shows.
05/19/77 Fox Theatre CDR 3 A- May '77 is gold. That is the conclusion I have come to. All of disc 3 on this is downright ridiculous.
05/21/77 Lakeland Civic Center CDR 3 A WOW!!! Look at the setlist for this and then consider that every song is a top 5 version. This may be my favorite show of May '77 and that is saying something. Thank you Robert Shaw for hooking me up with this SICK show.
05/26/77 Baltimore Civic Center CDR 3 Solid '77 Dead, rather standard setlist for '77 but music still up to par with year.
06/07/77 Winterland Arena CDR 3 A '77 Dew at its best.
06/09/77 Winterland Arena CDR 3 A 3 words, Help -> Slip -> Franklin's. Best ever.
11/06/77 Broome County Arena CDR 3 A WOW!! This is a fantastic show from my personal favorite year. For some reason this version of Passenger absolutely rocks even though I don't normally dig the song that much.
04/16/78 Huntington Civic Center CDR 2 A I am extremely impressed with this show. A 2 disc Dead show from '78 makes you think the boys were off and cut it short but that it not the case.
04/24/78 Horton Field House, Illinois State University CDR 3 A- solid '78 show, Werewolves of London encore is real nice.
07/08/78 Red Rocks Amphitheatre CDR 3 Lives up to all of the hype.
12/31/78 Winterland Arena CDR 4 A WOW!!! I have heard much of this show and it lives up to the hype. Check out specific highlights like THE Miracle and a mighty fine Ramble On Rose. Missing Bid You Good Night which sucks but you'll get over it.
01/15/79 Springfield Civic Center CDR 3 A- WEird show as it is '79 with Keith but I enjoy it. Has a good Passenger, a great Miracle -> Shakedown and the whole jam on disc 3 is solid (Terrapin -> end.)
06/21/80 West High Auditorium CDR 3 B+ This is an above average show from a sub par year for me but it's still a good show. I especially dig the Ramble On and Stranger.
11/29/80 Alligator Alley Gymnasium, University Of Florida CDR 3 A one of the shows that is making me an early 80's Dead believer
12/06/80 Mill Valley Recreation Center CDR 1 A sounds a lot like Reckoning and that is a very good thing
05/12/81 Veterans Memorial Coliseum CDR 3 A- Fantastic show with a He's Gone dedicated to Marley. The Shakedown is otherwordly and the aforementioned He's Gone is amazing.
07/13/84 Greek Theatre, U. Of California CDR 3 A Dark Star had not been played since 12/31/81. The boys decided it would fit as an encore on this night. nuff said
07/02/88 Oxford Plains Speedway CDR 3 A- One of the best 80's shows I've ever heard. Rivals the Warlocks '89 run as far as post-coma goes and thats saying something. All versions are better than average for the time and Dew is epic.
10/09/89 Hampton Coliseum CDR 3 A- YES!!! This show rocks. 1st Dark Star since 7/13/84, 1st Attics since 9/27/72, 2nd Death Don't since 4/26/70.
10/16/89 Meadowlands Arena CDR 3 A Famous show from '89 billed as "The Warlocks." Kills.
10/26/89 Miami Arena CDR 3 A- Great show. Dark Star is long and fierce and fades into a lengthy drums and space out of which comes a superb The Wheel and then, well I could go on but you should really get this show.
03/15/90 Capital Centre CDR 3 A+ This was released by the boys as a Terrapin Limited Edition. Look for this but if you can't find it I am willing to trade beacuse this show is SICK!!! The boys wanted to release a truly epic Terrapin and this complete show from Phil's 50th birthday was the obvious choice.
03/22/90 Copps Coliseum CDR 3 A great Scarlet- Fire, rest of shows rocks as well
03/29/90 Nassau Coliseum CDR 2 A Unfortunately, I only have set 2. However, this is the set with Branford Marsalis on sax which is killer. I am looking for set 1 if anyone has it and is feeling nice.
09/10/91 Madison Square Garden CDR 3 A One of my 5 fav shows of all time!!! Branford Marsalis is amazing on sax and brings these tunes to levels unseen before or since.
05/31/92 Sam Boyd Silver Bowl, U.N.L.V CDR 3 A This is a classic show. Disc 3 excels with the addition of Steve Miller on guitar. His solo towards the end of Dew makes the show for me. Get this nshow immediately. It is one of the best of the 90's.
06/20/92 Robert F. Kennedy Stadium CDR 3 A- Way above average show for '92. It has th return of Casey Jones for the first time since '84 and its a decent version. FOTD is great as is the Playin -> UJB.
03/23/95 Charlotte Coliseum CDR 3 A got this show because I needed a copy of Unbroken Cahin and it turns out to be pretty good with an especially bumpin' Wang Dang Doodle.

Jerry Garcia Band --- Approximate Hours: 17.5
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
02/14/76 Keystone CDR 2 A great Second That Emotion opener. Jerry just lets everyone know that he is god.
08/07/77 Keystone CDR 1 A- This is all that exists of this show and what's here rips. I especially like Russian Lullaby. It's very different from the way Jerry plays it w/ David Grisman in later years but it's still great.
02/04/82 Keystone Palo Alto CDR 2 A Unfortunately Tangled Up In Blue is cut on the master but this is still a sick show. I Second That Emotion makes my spine tingle every time.
01/27/86 The Ritz CDR 1 A- solig JGB set from '86. While I consider this a down period for the Dead Jerry always seemed able to turn it on while playing w/ JGB.
05/30/86 The Stone CDR 2 A see above
10/15/87 Lunt-Fontanne Theatre CDR 2 A The whole show is good but I really dig the acoustic set w/ just Jerry and John Kahn. Great stuff.
11/19/91 Civic Center CDR 2 A solid Garcia Band show but aren't they all. real good song selection including Dear Prudence and Run For The Roses.
10/31/92 Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena CDR 2 A The Maker will make you melt. You must have this show if you are a fan of Jerry which I think we pretty much all are.

Karl Denson's Tiny Universe --- Approximate Hours: 3.75

11/30/01 Barrymore Theatre CDR 3 A WOW!!! What A Fucking Band!

Keller Williams --- Approximate Hours: 10
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
10/19/99 Stella Blue CDR 3 A My first Keller show. I really dig all the Dead covers as well as Breathe and some others. This guy is pretty good.
12/31/99 Oregon Convention Center CDR 1 A Great set. Two words Gypsy Woman, listen and understand. Cover of Men Without Hats song "Safety Dance" is both quite good and hilarious. Get this show
04/05/00 Eric Burn's Parents Home CDR 3 A Just what I've come to expect from Keller. Tons of crazy covers all pulled off well and an overall great show.
07/29/00 The Blue Loon CDR 1 A Another great Keller set. Kidney In A Cooler is as perfect as ever. The Eleven cover is an amazing choice and Keller pulls it off.

Keller Williams Incident --- Approximate Hours: 3.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
07/13/00 Music Millenium In-Store CDR 1 A This is an in store appearance that just rips. Keller Incident is a great thing, isn't it? Listen to this show and you'll know it is.
08/12/00 Berkshire Mountain Music Festival CDR 2 A Day 2 of Berkfest including this stunning set with Keller and SCI. Franklin's Tower is a beauty, Keller and the boys do it justice.

Legion of Mary --- Approximate Hours: 3.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
07/04/75 Great American Music Hall CDR 3 A first LOM show rocks. This has lots of great jamming by Jerry, Merl, and pretty much everybody. This show makes me want more LOM.

Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
06/24/00 Seaside Park CDR 1 A WOW!!! I am blown away. I have been told that this guy is a great bassist but I never realized just how good he was until now.

Medeski Martin & Wood --- Approximate Hours: 3.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
12/10/00 The Vogue CDR 3 A- my introduction to MMW. I am impressed but at the same time, I'm not running out to get more.

Miles Davis --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
04/09/60 Green Dolphin CDR 1 A Absolutely mindblowing. Miles and Coltrane are music Gods.

moe. --- Approximate Hours: 48.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
02/07/97 Variety Playhouse CDR 3 B+ These guys have come a long way since '97 but this is still a fantastic show. Moth -> Meat -> Timmy Tucker is insane!!
01/27/00 The Odeon CDR 3 A my 1st and only moe. show, it didn't get me hooked but showed me that I would definetly see them live.
09/02/00 Snow Ridge Ski Area CDR 3 A Great show w/ guest appearance by Les Claypool on bass. Everything w/ Les is killer. Also check out a mighty fine Mexico.
10/31/00 The Tower Theatre CDR 4 B+ DSOTM cover for set one is pretty cool. It's a blatant copy of what Phish did though. Other highlights include a long Plane Crash, a ridiculously long Moth -> Meat and a Spine Of A Dog -> Buster encore.
02/05/01 Rasputin's Records CDR 1 A- WOW, I need some more acoustic moe. This is such a different sound from their all out balls to the wall rock and roll style in their electric playing. What can I say except that I LOVE both styles?
07/12/01 Central Park Summerstage (Early Show) CDR 3 A This was the 1st moe. show I attended and I was blown away. They put on a fantastic show on level with the best out there today.
07/12/01 The Makor (Late show) CDR 2 A- St. Augustine, Spine Of A Dog and Mexico all deliver. Plus, there is some real cool banter between the band and the crowd. You can tell they're having a great time.
07/23/01 Lion's Den CDR 3 A The Faker -> Moth is absurd. Also, a cool cover of the Dead's Cryptical -> Other One -> Cryptical. Plus Buster never disapoints.
08/11/01 Berkshire Mountain Music Festival CDR 3 A Great set from Berkfest. Personal highlights include a Plane Crash opener and a real good St. Augustine.
09/22/01 Aragon Ballroom CDR 4 A A great moe, show but, hey, aren't they all? Highlights include Captain America -> Mexico and a mighty fine Buster.
09/23/01 Orpheum Theater CDR 3 A Pure insanity!!! Kyle -> Timmy Tucker is one of those moments. It is just unbelievable. Also Recreational Chemistry is its usual absurdly sick self.
11/24/01 Hammerstein Ballroom CDR 3 A WOW!! Captain America -> Recreatoinal Chemistry and Head -> Kids steal the show but everything is unbelievable.
12/31/01 Convention Center CDR 4 A+ The best moe. show I own, hands down. Highlights are the 1st Plane Crash since 9/11, and Happy Hour Hero -> Seat Of My Pants -> Recreational Chemistry. My God, Recreational Chemistry. It just keeps going and going and going. It's like the fuckin' Energizer Bunny.

Old & In The Way --- Approximate Hours: 1.25
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
07/21/73 The Lion Share CDR 1 B+ This is an Old and in the Way studio rehearsal. It's pretty good and I like the song selection a lot.

Oysterhead --- Approximate Hours: 2.5
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
10/31/01 The Fillmore Auditorum CDR 2 A- I was a bit skeptical about Trey's new project b/c I am not normally his biggest fan. However, I must admit, this is pretty damn good.

Phil Lesh & Friends --- Approximate Hours: 47.5
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
10/24/00 The Fillmore Auditorum CDR 3 A WOW!! Phil rocks. This show reaffirms the fact that I really need to get to a Phil and Friends show.
04/20/01 Independence Hall - Cricket Arena CDR 3 A Phil's band sounds HOT!!! The setlist is frightening and delivers on all cylinders.
06/10/01 Sweetwater Saloon CDR 3 A DAMN!!!! China Cat -> The Eleven -> Brown Eyed Women is the highlight and what a highlight it is.
07/06/01 Red Rocks Ampitheatre CDR 3 A Super hot show from start to finish. The Bird Song -> BEW is an unreal opener and Unbroken Chain is perfect. First set is especially amazing. Also, Not Fade Away encore is HOT, Warren just tears it up.
07/07/01 Red Rocks Ampitheatre CDR 3 A- The 2001 Red Rocks run is officially mindblowing. While i think I prefer the previous night (7/6) this is still a very good show with highlights being the opening Jam -> Shakedown -> Blue Sky (WOW!!!) and the whole 2nd set.
07/29/01 Star Pavilion CDR 3 A Yet another HOT 2001 Phil show. I get the feeling that all the shows are just DAMN GOOD!! Highlights of this one include Crazy Fingers, Beautifully Broken -> Unbroken Chain -> Keep On Growin', and the stuff with Derek Trucks. (Viola Lee, Lovelight)
08/02/01 Virginia Beach Amphitheatre CDR 2 A- Highlights: Dew -> Mason's, Sugaree Not quite on par with some other nights from this tour but still a solid show.
08/03/01 Alltel Pavillion CDR 2 Haven't listened yet

12/01/01 Beacon Theater CDR 3 A Get this for the encore with Dickey Betts alone. The rest rages too, by the way.

Phish --- Approximate Hours: 30
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
04/27/91 Capitol Theater CDR 3 A One of favorite Phish shows. Highlights: Lizards, Mike's Groove, FLUFFHEAD!!!!
10/19/91 The Catalyst CDR 2 A WOW!! I had forgotten how amazing Phish used to sound, hopefully they get pack to that after hiatus.
02/20/93 Roxy Theater CDR 3 A- SICK, SICK show. Golgi starts off a killer first set. Highlights include said Golgi, The Sloth, Divided Sky, Fluffhead, Cavern. Second set continues the trend. Both the Tweezer sandwich and the long Mike's Groove are fantastic. Oh yeah, they play Terrapin and Hood as well.
03/31/93 Roseland Theater CDR 3 A I'm giving this show its first listen right now. Solid Runaway Jim opener. Hood is the SHIT!!! YEM always good.

12/30/97 Madison Square Garden CDR 3 A- Great show, Sneakin Sally opener gets things going nicely. Other highlights include Hood and the return of Sneakin Sally during the encore.
12/12/99 Hartford Civic Center CDR 3 A- I am not really a Phish fan but was at this show and thought it was pretty decent, especially Divided Sky which never dissapoints

04/20/96 Alpine Meadows Ski Area CDR 2 A early Cheese is so sweet. I love to hear where these guys were and am kicking myself in the ass for not getting into them 4 years ago.
06/14/96 Boulder Theatre CDR 2 A This is some stunning early Cheese. It has tons of bluegrass and everybody's playing well. Remington Ride is a gem as is the 2nd set Resume Man. Early Resume Man's rock!
07/13/96 The Q Cafe CDR 1 A- great set including my fav version of a bluegrass beauty, Resume Man.
03/20/97 Sheridan Hotel Ballroom CDR 3 A My first '97 show and I want more. I don't see many '97 shows circulating and with the Sound/Show quality of this one, I wonder why. Pick this up.
04/21/98 The Bayou CDR 3 A- KYLE IS THE MAN!!!!!
04/23/98 The Brewery CDR 3 A Great '98 show that rivals 5/16 for my fav of the year. The setlist says it all but understand that these are all standout versions.
05/16/98 Stubb's BBQ CDR 2 A My only 98' show is fantastic. The setlist (which, BTW is amazing) does not do this show justice. I am once again kicking myself in the ass hard for not getting into these guys earlier. WOW!!
03/11/99 Capitol Theater CDR 3 A Overshadowed by next night (3/12) but this is still a great show. Shine is incredible and this show also includes personal fav's like Barstool and Dudley's Kitchen. I love Cheese.
03/12/99 The Crystal Ballroom CDR 3 A Oh, boy!! The phenomal setlist of this show does not even begin to do it justice. Michael and Billy rock all night as do the rest of the boys. Pick up a copy of this show.
04/13/99 Higher Ground CDR 3 A Great show. Looking at this setlist is frightening and it lives up to its potential. Highlights for me include the Little Hands opener and Rollover - Jam - Dudley's Kitchen.
04/15/99 Somerville Theatre CDR 3 A solid April '99 show. It is not quite as impressive as 4/13 but still rocks. Personal highlights include Miss Brown's - Impressions and Resume Man.
08/07/99 Three Sisters Park CDR 1 A This setlist is ridiculous. The birdland off of this summer sessions show is one of the better ones I've heard.
10/29/99 Irving Plaza CDR 3 A The setlist for this incident is down right scary. They play Estimated. WOW!!!
10/31/99 Electric Factory CDR 4 A- Great show with lots of cool covers. They lpay Under African Skies, Kashmir, Exodus, Octopus' Garden and so much more brilliant stuff.
12/28/99 Vogue Theater CDR 3 A They play I KNOW YOU RIDER!! It is sick!!
12/31/99 Oregon Convention Center CDR 4 A WOW! The covers on this show are incredible including Marley's One Love, and The Joker by Steve Miller Band. After The Joker, they start to play You Can Call Me Al (Paul Simon) but never actually get into it.
02/05/00 House of Blues CDR 3 A This just just rocks. The jams are long and sweet, the setlist is untouchable, the show kills.
02/19/00 The Fillmore Auditorum CDR 3 A Oh, boy. Fillmore SCI at it's best. How do you cover Marley (Time Will Tell) and Allman (Jessica) at the same show? Listen and learn.
02/21/00 Dobson Ice Arena CDR 3 B+ odd cover of Jungle Boogie is real interesting. Is there anything these guys can't cover?
03/15/00 Freeborn Hall - U.C.Davis CDR 3 A Long live the Cheese. Everything w/ Joe Craven on fiddle rocks. Specifically check out Under African Skies -> Jam -> Sittin' On Top Of The World. It's out of this world.
03/17/00 The Warfield CDR 4 B+* Great show from the Warfield. All of these songs are jammed even harder than usual and Smile is a personal fav so I love this show.
04/16/00 The Guvernment CDR 3 A I SHOT THE SHERIFF!!! and had a killer show leading up to it.
04/21/00 The Palladium CDR 4 A amazing show!! Round The Wheel- Jellyfish- Round The Wheel is fantastic, as is the That's What Love Will Make You Do encore.
04/22/00 Hammerstien Ballroom CDR 3 B+ great show from NYC. Darol Anger rips on fiddle and makes the boys that much better.
04/25/00 the 9:30 club CDR 3 A They play UNDER AFRICAN SKIES!!! You must hear this. If you are not a SCI fan this show will make you one. It made me one.
05/25/00 Hotel Si Como No CDR 1 coming soon...
07/14/00 Horning's Hideout CDR 3 A WOW!! Day 1 of this interesting festival and this set rocks from start to finish. The setlist tells the story and it is as sick as it looks.
07/16/00 Horning's Hideout CDR 3 A First set is acoustic Cheese including BOTWP and Smile, 2 of my personal favs. Rest rips as well and disc 3 includes some the best jamming I own.
07/21/00 Greek Theatre CDR 3 A I can't say enough about this amazing band. This is yet another must have show with a crazy Texas- Mountain Girls.
08/11/00 Berkshire Mountain Music Festival CDR 2 A My friend was in attendance and you can hear him during the beginning of Joyful Sound letting everyone know that it was his first incident.
08/13/00 Butternut Ski Area CDR 2 A Day 3 of Berkfest does not dissapoint. This is yet another great SCI show. The transitions on this are crazy (ex. Latinismo- Mtn. Girls) which make it a cool addition to any collection.
10/20/00 Taft Theatre CDR 3 A This setlist is downright scary. It's only the second night of tour and the guys are already rippin'. Few glitches in Mountain Girls on master rest is HQ.
10/24/00 SideShow Music Hall CDR 3 A Fall tour is incredible. This show is especially noteworthy for its interesting 1st set Midnight Rider Jam which fades into another jam and then Kang takes control with Birdland. In a word, perfect.
10/25/00 Palace Theatre CDR 3 A Is everyone single fall tour show just sick? It looks that way. I'm just finishing my first listen as Superstition is coming to an end. Words don't describe.
10/26/00 Electric Factory CDR 3 A I'm currently in the middle of my first listen to this show. For now, the jam after Little Hands sticks out as most noteworthy. Plus Good Times is a personal fav so this show rocks. Just got to Dudley's Kitchen. WOW!!!
10/27/00 Hammerstein Ballroom CDR 3 A- WOW!!! My 1st incident sounds stellar on disc. Highlights are pretty much everything but personal favorites include the 1st set closing Smile, an aggressive Rivertrance, an out of this world Roll Over, and a perfect Ramble On encore.
10/28/00 Orpheum Theatre CDR 3 A This setlist gets more impressive each time I see it. Maybe that's because I know all of the songs are played to perfection.
10/31/00 State Theatre CDR 4 A Yet another excellent sounding fall tour show. Highlights include Lost - Jam - CAYA. Also, the encore with 4 first time played is pretty cool.
11/04/00 Memorial Gym CDR 3 A Once again fall tour comes through. Let me get right to the highlights and the Lost - All Blues - CAYA. This closes set one in style with the best moment in the sequence possibly being the first notes of CAYA which show up with fire. Set 2 rips as well with a great Mountain Girls with Billy, Kang, and Kyle exchanging leads. All of disc three rocks too and this show is officially insane.
11/09/00 The Ritz CDR 3 A Yeah, fall tour. This is yet another gem from the splendid Fall 2000 Cheese. Special attention to Shine -> SKORT and a bumpin' Indian Creek.
11/11/00 Thomas Wolfe Auditorium CDR 3 A I am blown away. Fall 2000 is going to go down as one of the finest tours in Cheese history IMHO. This setlist speaks for itself.
11/15/00 Alabama Theatre CDR 3 A- A- sound rating b/c of a few minor pops/clicks, no major problems. Overall, this show rips. The Alabama Getaway cover in Birmingham must have been special to see. BTW, I'm listening to Indian Creek from this show right now and it is my new favorite version. WOW!!!
11/17/00 Tabernacle CDR 3 A WOW!!! 1st set closer Ramble On and everything else w/ Tony Furtado on banjo kills. Get this show.
11/19/00 University of Florida Bandshell CDR 3 A Once again Fall 2000 Cheese blows my mind!
12/30/00 Oregon Convention Center CDR 3 A I am jealous of everybody who was at New Year's. This is a great show. Personal highlights include Round The Wheel - Indian Creek and Tom Thumb's - Drums - SKORT.
12/31/00 Oregon Convention Center CDR 4 A Great sounding DAUD. This is a great show but has a little too much Lester Poem for me. It's still great though.
02/17/01 The Fillmore Auditorum CDR 3 A BEND DOWN LOW!!!
02/23/01 Austad Auditorium CDR 3 A This is my first taste of Winter Carnival '01 and it lives up to all of my expectations. I dare you to try and stay in your seat during 100 Year Flood -> Jam -> Search. It's priceless.
03/17/01 Whistler Convention Center CDR 3 A WOW!!! From the first note of Whiskey Before Breakfast to the last note of Mountain Girls, this show is insane. My favorite portion is the Best Feeling -> Jam -> Under African Skies b/c I'm a sucker for Under African Skies. But seriously, get this show.
04/20/01 Fox Theatre CDR 3 A The boys held nothing back on Travis' birthday. They even let him sing a Floyd cover (Fearless) and did a decent job of it, I'm sure it will get better with time. The Bend Down Low is epic as is the Texas but isn't Texas always that way?
08/07/01 Mt. Shasta Ski Resort CDR 3 A- Solid Cheese!

Tenacious D --- Approximate Hours: 2.5

09/02/01 Barrymore Theatre CDR 3 A My first taste of the McGee boys and I am very impressed. They definetly have a somewhat "Phishy" sound at times but are all in all a very solid band whom I will seek more of.

Widespread Panic --- Approximate Hours: 3.75
Show Date Venue Media Type Media Count Sound Rating Notes
10/21/00 Independence Arena CDR 3 A- My first Panic show and I'm definetly going to go get more. Not as blown away as my first listen to Cheese, but still impressed.
